I am fortunate enough that I live about a half a block away from a Hispanic market. The friendly butchers there taught me how to make authentic taco meat and they had me using Goya Adobo All Purpose Seasoning. Over the years they have guided me in several recipes that I enjoy making.
I just noticed what your apron says. That was my dad's motto - "Never trust a skinny cook". He loved to cook and he was not skinny, lol. I sure do miss him! I will enjoy your channel and enjoy cooking authentic Mexican food for my family.
Congratulations on your channel. I’m a big fan of the Farming Pastor Wife and I’m so glad that your channel is started … I love your cooking. Thank you for starting this
Looks great. Have you ever heard of the channel Rachel Cooks With Love? She makes Mexican dishes too. At first I thought this was her channel. I liked Cooking with Maria but they’re both good names.
👋 Hi Maria So excited to learn how to cook authentic Mexican food! You make it look so easy. I'm from Leslie's channel, my name is Michele. You are doing awesome and we are here to support you 😁 The taco's look delicious!
Congratulations Maria on your new channel! 🎉 I'm so happy for you! I'm looking forward to learning more comida Mexicana! I live in Texas where we eat more Tex-Mex food! 😉 I can not wait for your next video!
My youngest son in law calls my tacos "white peoples" tacos, lol. He's going to be surprised the next time I fix tacos for him and family! I'm even going to try my hand at fixing homemade corn tortillias. Thank you Maria and Leslie!
Ms Maria, that’s wonderful! I have made tacos with ground beef, I never thought about the Carne Picada! And I love how great it looks in a taco! I could almost smell and taste it!🤤 Me encanta!🥰👍
Ms Maria, I made your taco meat recipe with the Carne Picada and onions. I added green and red bell peppers to your recipe! I am on a salt restriction so I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I did not make my own tortillas, though. I will buy Masa Harina next time I go to the store. My husband loved this better than ground beef tacos! Delicioso!
Thank you very much for sharing this. I’ve really just wanted to know how to make restaurant style taco meat and I think this is probably the trick I’m gonna give it a try and I really do appreciate the time that you invested to do this. And I am going to subscribe right now. Have a good day
Hola Maria! Buena suerte with your new channel!! I subscribed and hit the bell. Anxious to learn Latin dishes from you. LOVE Carne guisada and stuffed poblanos!! 😋 🥰 I'd love to learn how to make arroz con pollo. Authentic Spanish rice too. 😊
Thank you! Great recipe. Congratulations on your new channel. I look forward to all the wonderful recipes, I came over from and The Farming Pastors Wife channel; love her also.
Hello Maria! First, I never realized authentic tacos are not made with ground beef. I’ll have to give this a try…and knowing my boys, this will be the permanent way to make tacos 😁. Second, you seriously look SO familiar! I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure it out. Any chance you lived in Iowa at one time? If not, you definitely have a twin here somewhere 😉
What is the name of that meet at Walmart? I want to buy exactly what you have. It looks so delicious. You are an awesome cook. I can't wait for more videos
@@mariacookswithlove5716 thank you I will look for it. I hope mine comes out like yours. So the only thing you season it with is seasoning salt and garlic salt
Maria would you share how to make green chili sauce? I think I have the name right. 😏 My husband remembers his aunt making it. He said they ate it over roast, fried potatoes etc. He remembers it being like a gravy.
How interesting--I guess authentic tacos are nothing like we make in America with the taco seasoning and finely chopped beef. Simplicity is best! Welcome, Maria to TH-cam. Maybe you could make a short introductory video and tell us a little bit about yourself and your family, where you're from, and what you'd like to teach us in your videos. Help us get to know you better.
You wasted my time. What the heck are you doing making 8 minutes video just to show how to cook ground beef in a skillet. That shouldn’t take more than 30 seconds of video
Maria-would you consider going a video on how to make cheese enchiladas with homemade enchilada sauce?
Oh how I would love that!
Me to

Yo también honey ya sabes cuando gustes nos echamos unos taquitos 🌮😋🥰
Maria if you can't find the taco meat can you use ground beef?
Congratulations on your new channel. I can't wait to try your recipes 😋. Congrats again.
Yes honey 😉
It would taste better if you use olive oil instead of vegetable oil

Can cumin be added? I like it spicy!
Yes of course 👌
Looked really overcooked at the point she added onions?
The seasoning for the meat seems much blander than I expected for authentic Mexican food.
Hello. I think Maria does a great job cooking and talking. I don't think you need to be talking and interrupt so much
