1st song I have played in 22 years - recorded with just an iphone

I started drumming when I was 15 in high school and played through college. After starting my career and getting married I didn’t touch a drum set again for 22 years and just two months ago (June of 2020) I started playing again when I set up my dream kit. Neil Peart’s R30 the only full replica in existence.
After 22 years of not playing I’m still a little sloppy but getting back slowly; this is my attempt at Natural Science (probably should have started with an easier song). I don't have mic's for the drums or a mixer to balance the music with me playing so sorry that it’s hard to hear the track, doesn't sound very clear or balanced (just an iphone recording while playing along with the stereo).

That’s is really great! And I love the set. I REALLY REALLY miss Neil and RUSH…. They were a big part of my younger years. I just am relearning how to play and decided to try Subdivisions. Mind you, I’m a beginner on the drum set and just the first 36 minutes of that song is taking me forever to learn 🤪

I personally waited all of my life- (well until the professors death) to suddenly remember ..
oh yeah, I know every track by heart...
now I guess I should stop dreaming and start playing...
nice track one of my favs... got to love Neil's hi-hat work..
such a perfectionist of a percussionist..

Danny, isn’t kind funny how when break these parts down, it fairly simple stuff… but trying to excite this song, in time, with serious power and precision it’s extremely difficult to play. I can play it of course, but I struggle with being spot on with fills. Some of the most difficult things to play seem simple.
