UPDATED NP Snare Drum Collection
Updated video showing the complete DW NP replica collection along with “Old Faithful” replica.
I had a brain fart while filming. The Grey snare with the red RUSH logo from the original album was the Modern Drummer Tribute Snare drum (I think I said DW tribute in the video). Come join my Facebook group groups/neilpeartdrums/?ref=share_group_link

OLD VIDEO - Complete Officially released DW Neil Peart Snare Collection
มุมมอง 16K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I was asked to restore this by some viewers even though there is an updated video. A couple of mistakes in this video: I said wood cogs on the Time Machine Evolution by error. They are rubber cogs. The Time Machine Edge snare has the hand painted plastic cogs. Just to clarify - Neil played MANY different snares through out his career. This is the complete set of replicas that were sanctioned by...

First attempt at a mix. Bass and ride still too soft. A work in progress.
1st song I have played in 22 years - recorded with just an iphone

I started drumming when I was 15 in high school and played through college. After starting my career and getting married I didn’t touch a drum set again for 22 years and just two months ago (June of 2020) I started playing again when I set up my dream kit. Neil Peart’s R30 the only full replica in existence. After 22 years of not playing I’m still a little sloppy but getting back slowly; this i...
But I thought Neil Peart hated meeting fans. I don’t think he would’ve signed anything for people unless he had to, and I didn’t think he’d sign happy drumming.
Clearly you don’t know much about him. “Happy Drumming” was his signature phrase when signing autographs. He responded to fan mail for years and didn’t mind signing things at all. He was uncomfortable meeting people who would shower him with adoration. But he did not hate fans and he signed plenty of things.
over or under 50 grand?
WAY over
Awesome set!
What a Beutiful ❤ set up my frie d , kudos
Simply spectacular! Even the trolls can't undo the spectacularness(?) on display in this video. Thanks for the invitation to visit. I just might do it when I next find myself in Dallas.
wow, the only things you are missing is a replica Geddy and Alex
Any chance I could come see it???
less gear, more practice...
Says a guy who has none of his own playing posted. Less just worrying about others and more focus on yourself 😉
@@DigitalMan_2112 wanna see what really good drummer can do with set smaller than yours? ;)
@@Martee234 I have seen many - it doesn’t take much to find them. I’m not an active player or professional. I’m a hobbyist. Why are you worried about my playing or equipment? You should probably focus on yourself.
Glad all of this stuff is being taken care of.
lots AND lots OF MONEY !!!!
You're the man!
I need these flight cases for my drum collection in my commercial recording studio. Can you provide a link to the case manufacturer?
I don’t want to get in trouble as they will not make any more of these for anyone other than DW I had to get special permission from the CEO of their company. I’ve had multiple people make the request so I can’t give you any specific details (the design was mine. I have the schematics, and everything that was drawn out ) but it is the same case manufacturer that made the evolution cases. Calzone is the company. That’s the most I can say as I don’t want to create a problem for them after they did me a favor.
Did I just see a replica Neil Peart Drumkit?
fellow rush fan drummer canadian, nice. congrats on your kit and collections, impressive. playing ok too.
Big Money!
I'll say what we're all thinking. " I'd love to play that set"
If you are ever in Dallas hit me up and you can. Several people have stopped by to play it and take video and photos. You can see them on my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/neilpeartdrums/?ref=share_group_link
Wow. Cool stuff
🙏❤🌹 Neil 🌹❤🙏
Thx
I wonder if anybody has ever replicated the bottom bearing edge of the Slingerland Artist snare that Neil used for years. I remember reading in an interview with Neil many years ago when he said that somebody had filed down the bottom edge of that snare and that the drum would never choke.
That is soooo sick, well done sir and RIP professor!!
You are so lucky, won all of those contests bro!
Can u play drums?
Have you looked at the rest of the channel?
Still lifting my jaw up from the ground. Unbelievable. ✌🏻🇨🇦
Absolutely incredible.
That is madness, sheer madness. What a kit. Rotating riser too -- wow!
Wow, amazing video and channel -- liked and subscribed!
Very obsessed fan !!!!!
Incredible. HOW do you keep that huge kit dust free?? \m/
I don’t. It’s a pain - I wipe it down every couple of weeks. The dust was the main reason I built the cases for the snares
This kit had to cost at least $1000.
I wish - 16 years ago the acoustic side only cost $30k www.musicradar.com/reviews/drums/dw-neil-peart-r30-drum-kit-78587 One sold last year for $120k (again acoustic drums only). This is the only full replica with electronic rear kit and rotating riser.
@@DigitalMan_2112 Yea, I was just blowing smoke. This kit even looks crazy expensive. I hope you're enjoying it and getting your money's worth out of it. It's almost like a museum exhibit.
Sweet
That is just an awesome collection, hats off to you sir. I might just have to get over to Dallas....
Absolutely- come play them!
Is this THE real kit????
Nice collection dude. For me though, I don't care what Neil Peart snare I am able to obtain........I'm playing that monster!!!!!
Totally agree! I PLAY THEM ALL!!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It’s good to be a billionaire.
I'll buy all these drums for the price of what you told your wife you spent on them.
lol - that was funny!
Damn. Such an amazing collection! You’re either single or divorced lol
Married with 3 kids. I had to remodel the entire house for her after all this. Those drums cost more than the price of buying them!
PROPS TO LOUIE GARCIA.. THE MASTER PAINTER AT DW DRUMS.. GREAT GUY.. IF YOU ARE EVER IN OXNARD CALIF. TAKE THE DW FACTORY TOUR.. I WAS LUCKY TO LIVE 2mi. FROM DW.. GREAT EXPERIENCE.. Wow, just wow…
This guy is my hero on so many levels. He converted his theater room to a shrine for NP ! And his wife's only complaint is the sound.🤗 My ex-wife would've killed me !. "Field Of Dreams" brother. You build it, they'll come (Kevin Costner) 🙏
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Stunning collection. You are a very lucky person indeed. Live Long and Prosper.
So cool!
Amazing! Awesome! Terrific! Love it! Thanks!
What an amazing collection! Thank you so very much for sharing it.
I wonder if this guy is a NP fan
I just went into more debt just watching this video
Do you have the Ludwig super made in 1959 brass it's on the 1960 catalog ?
Neil never played a Ludwig snare. And this video is about the DW collection.
He did play a supraphonic on the song T4E. You can see it on the Work In Progress video. Also a couple of Yamaha snares on VT. There, that should keep you busy for a while! 😂 Beautiful collection. I almost got one of those R30 replicas. The first one came in with the shell cracked. Returned to the factory and a second one sent, same thing but even worse! It looked like someone had stepped on it sideways. And then they didn't have any more of them. Kinda sucked.
@@brmperc 1st I’m not collecting every snare he ever played. I’m collecting the DW’s so no need for me to hunt the Roger’s he had before old faithful down etc. Which R30 are you referring to? The starman? The R30 replica’s were only sold with the 30 kits or with the evolution cases. The starman is the most common of all the drums and you can pick them up for about $3,500 on eBay
Sure. This was more about the idea that he had never played a Ludwig snare. Yes, it was the Starman drum. I'm ok not spending $3500 for a drum I'd never want to take out on a gig. I did recently get myself a slingerland to fix up and play, and that was always my favorite snare sound. Well, that and the cocobolo piccolo on Presto
@@brmperc got it. I’m talking he never played a Ludwig snare as part of his rig. I’m sure Neil has played virtually every brand out there before choosing his set up.
