  • In this video it shows my dad and I lashing about 6,000 ft of fiber onto the strand that I showed us building in the last video. Thanks for watching.

    Big shout out to all you phone workers and powerline workers out there. Thank you for all you do to keep the lights on in the phones ringing I’m going to work for the power commission when I get older soon I graduate high school I’m going to Lineman school in Nova Scotia work for NSPI

    In the oilfield you see a lot of cable with this lashing wire loose and hanging off from high oversize loads getting into them.

    4 days for 12k strand? What kind of running you guys got? Run 12k in a day and lash 6 or more. And word of advice, never wrap the rope around your hand. Had a guy do that and lose his fingers when a car blew through the signs a few years ago

    I'm a lineman for spectrum just a tip your not suppose to tie the down guides to the light company's anchor your suppose to put your own anchor

      It actually just depends on the company. In my area the power company’s are putting there own fiber up so they are turning into a power/communication company and they allow you to use there anchors. But yea a majority of the time you need to place your own anchor and guy.

    No way we have spans that long here in the northeast. If we run into a 300 footer that's a rarity. Cool vid, keepum coming. MEMORIES

    man i hated doin guy wires with preforms till i started usin my head try doin up like 3 wraps favoring one side and then pulling the now short side up to start the wrapping and it winds up being very tight

    be careful who ur prime is as a SUB... Time to put in for an Apollo. Check out GMP use the ring guard. Ur in production so itll save ya time and money

    Speed equals production 6k isn’t bad my supervisor can jig 20k in 2 hours
