Part of the fun of a game for some is actually being realistic.. aka D&D is about making potions.. having to leave a battle because your out of items.. Witcher is not Dark Souls....... if u dont like gathering herbs and being a "Witcher' that is core essential being of that character.. the very essence.. Just saying..
TLOU came out 11 years ago. The remaster of TLOU came out 10 years ago. So despite you being wrong about timelines, you're spot on that another remaster was not needed in the slightest.
That remake is fun though lmao. Sure, it’s terribly priced, but I got a physical copy gifted and it was absolutely fun. Better than the OG. Why are you mad about that lol?
Chances are that's just removing the sex cards and switching it to be a bit less teenage horniness and more tactful, a'la how romance works in Witcher 2-3.
I'm a big fan of the camp feature in Baldur's Gate 3, and I'd love to see something similar implemented into the Witcher games. Essentially, you can use camp supplies to set up camp pretty much anywhere, and while in camp you can talk to your traveling companions (if there are any), repair your gear, and brew potions. These menial tasks could be done manually, and automatically. I just think it fits the life of a Witcher so well. The vagrant riding the long, empty roads, miles from any civilization, having to make do with what they have until they reach the nearest inn. My favorite parts of the books were the stories of the long journeys Geralt and his friends went on, the struggles, from the basic need of food, to where they could sleep, to being wary of the raging war, bandits, or monsters. I always felt the Witcher games have been a bit too fast-paced in this regard. No need to eat, sleep, and brewing potions was done instantly by just pressing a few buttons without any immersive animations. It just doesn't do a good job at creating the Witcher lifestyle experience, in my opinion. I think skipping all of this should be completely viable, but I do think it should come with some consequences. Like, if you're using quick repair kits like in Witcher 3, instead of setting up camp and doing it properly, maybe you're missing out on a damage or durability buff. Same thing for potions, maybe you can make more of them in camp, as compared to quick and dirty, on the path.
That would be interesting. Perhaps there could be a difficulty option with this in mind, like 'witcher' difficulty or something so you get significant buffs in that difficulty from playing in a more realistic way. I'm all for more options for players.
Although tedious, I love that in TW1 you could stack potion effects by strategically meditating for a certain time at a campfire to lower toxicity, chug another potion, meditate again etc. You ended up with ALL the effects (although for a shorter duration). Before bossfights it was my go-to ritual to be as prepared as possible. That and being constantly drunk for a slight damage buff :)
@@Zerath0 True, and if you are pkaying FCR, you need to actually think what to make, yoy acrually need to find recipes, especially oil recipes, bot for collecting, but for being able to survive. I don't know how the creator of FCR was capable of making such a good improvement. Although alchemy may seem like "find the recipes, grind resourses, make potions" it is indeed really deep. I think it is the only existing game with alchemy where you can modify the recipes yourself to get the same potion. Though it would be very cool if in the remake they added some side effect gimmick depending on what herbs you use. Like, at least if instead of just Rubedo, you used a herb with both Rubedo and Albedo, it gave some unique effects to the potion
Didn't Geralt say that White Orchard was less than a days ride from Vizima when the Nilfgaardian commander told him where Yennifer was? Maybe we could get to revisit White Orchard. They could put an expanded version of the Swamps and Lakeside in between, and add a bunch of new random locations and villages to fill it up....
I hope it has a better gameplay than Witcher 3 u mean? Lets not forget Witcher 3 is 10 years old and by the time Witcher 1 Remake comes out it might be 12-13 years old
Witcher 3 was great. The only thing could been better was leveling system. I finished game with lot of unused points and a lot of skills proved worthless. I gave up from magic for instance because it's just wasn't significant in fights
What kind of Witcher are you? Brewing potions is a part of it! Knowledge about those and also which potion works against which monsters was part of feeling like a Witcher.
they need to be carfel with the open world thing. remember how close white orchard was to vizima in tw3? and how close the niffgarden camp in velen is supposed to be to Vizima. they really can't expand it too much without crossing into tw3's maps
As I've seen a few comments addressing this I'll copy my previous comment to share my thoughts: Although I am concerned about changes to the saga and hope they focus on good storytelling, established lore and characters, whatever the company decides is what we have to deal with I suppose. All you can do is let them know your thoughts on their product with your wallet and invest in the products that align with your interests, no need to feel like you have to like something. We already have the amazing original trilogy at least.
@@TESMediaGroup ofc they never said that, if they did it would cut their profits before they even released it lol Thats exaactly what they will be doing after seeing that woke vid they released
8:00 Easy fix - stronger/weaker items. You get stronger potions from campfire menu and weaker ones from inventory. Bosses require preparation, regular monsters.. not so much. These are basically extra, unnecessary options for the player that consume development time, but it's always nice to have more options in the game... I need more options like edible items giving you stamina bonus etc, kinda like they did in B&W with Corvo Bianco - bed, stables.. or em.. Reginald statue. Regular daily activities that give you small boost to few stats, that really don't affect the gameplay for majority of players but can add extra fun nerdy nerds
I've always been torn about the original Witcher 1 game because it's quite "clunky" and "dated" in its graphics and mechanics but there's also a certain "charm" that games like this from that era hold for 90s and early 2000s kids whose initial introduction to gaming was with games of that nature. The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) games hold a similar appeal. It would be interesting to see how the dialog changes in the remake because a lot of it felt like a poorly-rehearsed script in comparison with the more "cinematic" feel of the dialog in Witcher 3.
I hope it won't have nothing stupid in it like they did with the Netflix show but I'm hoping it'll be great I'm excited for it and the next Witcher game
@@LNER985 hey man more power to you I'm happy you could enjoy it I mean it's obvious that it's a train wreck on wheels with everything they changed and stuff they did Henry left because of that but if you like it that's awesome bro hey man you do you

I want Vizima to be as big as Novigrad and Oxenfurt together. I still want the city to be open, but we need a good excuse for the three main districts being separated, because the story needs that.
CDPR and as well as Fool's Theory have the original people involve. So I'm not too worry. There's still some uncertainly due to the nature of it being a remake. But man, it's been well over 2 years since the announcement of the remake. Can we get some actual news? WE need a trailer if it's coming out in 2026 lol.
As far as I know Polaris will be released first because remake will use the techonology made for that game in order to have a consistent gameplay philosophie.
I really like the potion system in W1! I like that you can stack bonus effects by choosing your ingredients right, and I REALLY like that you have to actually always have the ingredients to make a potion. It just feels cheaty to have infinite, instant restocks of everything. And the auto-restock makes all the alchemy drops and herbs useless - they should either be worth enough to sell or scarce enough to make finding them an active effort, imo. I really hope they do keep the drinking game. I feel it's quite likely that it gets cut, but I think it's a genuinely fun mechanic.
Great video with good thoughts imo. I think The Witcher 1 (I played it on PC for a long time ago) is a kind of standalone compared to The Witcher 2 and 3. It would be really cool if someone would spend the time to remake The Witcher 2 in the RED engine, that CDPR have set free to use by everyone who has a compatible PC. What a great fan spirit.
I personally wish it was open zone. Just because Witcher 3 is open world doesn't mean Witcher 1 needs to be open world too. But I guess I'll wait for the results.
As long as it not like assassins creed shadows where the base game is 70 f*ckin dollars. It's fine if they actually make it worth it but there's alot of games that are incredibly overpriced and without and extra stuff no season pass or dlc's
Been playing W1 since 2007, even before the Enhanced Edition came out, and still absolutely love this game, along with 2 and 3. That said, one thing I do hope they tighten up, without completely rewriting, is the script. Now that Doug Cockle is very seasoned and puts forth a much more convincing performance, as well as altered voice actors for Triss and such, I'd like to see dialogue at a level on part with W2 and W3.
This isn’t a video about everything we know. This is a video about what Witcher George wants in the remake. Also saying Baldur’s Gate 3 systems are good compared to Witcher 3 is not blasphemy. It’s 100% accuracy. 🤷♂️
Thanks for the video~ I'm quite looking forward to the remake and wish the fools theory studio luck with it all Having the open world for the witcher one would really great as would having the lore/storyline more balanced with the other games. I do not think it would take away too much from the game if they made a in depth open world for exploration as in the witcher 3, geralt didn't need to do ALL that exploring but it added alot to the game that was very enjoyable and I learnt alot more of the world by having that experience.
I'm hoping for a witcher ultimate edition where you can play 1, 2 and 3 seamlessly. But I agree, I don't want stuff to be time-consuming for the sake of making the game longer. Ubisoft does this a lot and it sucks.
I agree with many of the changes you mentioned. I have all 3 Witcher games and going back is the hardest. I still love them but the inconveniences they got rid of in the last one in particular make playing 1 and 2 more frustrating than they were at their releases. I know its not real life but I love being able to meditate any where any time, and having my potions refill automatically as long as I have strong alcohol. Controlling the time of day on the fly is awesome. I'm hoping that the remake and 4 won't have the "new" ideology that's destroying many franchises.
I think open-world is unnecessary, but it's happening; when you mentioned expanding Temeria, I would actually kind of like to see La Valette castle before the siege. Maybe Velen before it was war-torn. Mahakam would be cool.
4:00 The character of Alvin itself is a problem for the "trilogy". Problem is, Alvin and his storyline was the most intriguing thing I've encountered when playing Witcher 1 with no knowledge about the franchise whatsoever.
Sooo I have a pretty controversial opinion right there... They should TURN OFF the MINI MAP on default and only make it an option. This greatly enhances the immersion and makes the places much more memorable. On the smaller maps of the Witcher 1 it is possible to navigate doing this most of the time. e.g. Some Quests don't tell you where to go but the majority of places can be found by just walking around and talking to people(at least in the first two acts as I'm playing the original right now) If you get lost a quick look in the map makes you instantly know where to go next. The combat system is fiddely and they should definitely create a new one. The only thing that I want them to keep is the impact of alchemy. I really liked brewing potions in preperation of fights and you got used to it quickly. In contrast in my two playthroughs of the Witcher 3 I hardly ever used alchemy because it wasn't ever needed. A reason for that could be the skill that health regeneration lasts for insane amounts of time. But for making potions you have to meditate. Especially in Vyzima(idk how to spell that) there aren't enough spots to do that. Because of that I would like to meditate anywhere. If the devs don't want to risk loosing the immersion you could forbid to meditate outdoors. A personal point: I really like the uniquely looking water shader in the game which, at least for me, made the game instantly recognizable. It wasn't too unrealistic and it had a personal touch. They could also remove some of the unnessecary walking back and forth between some characters and of course they will fix some dialogue that doesn't make sense when experienced in the wrong way. I think they should definitely remove the trading card like images and overhaul some dialogues of getting there. That wraps up my collection of unrealistic wishes for the remake. Thanks for reading until the end.
My dream that wont ever come true is that they remake all three games into a single one (expanding content across the board, lots of plotlines and characters werent fully exploited or where cut from TW3). And add a final expansion covering the time period of the "A night to remember" trailer.
I'm so happy to hear that developers who were part of the original games are going to be part of this! I remember reading a bunch of them got extremely burnt out after prolonged crunchtime - something that should really disappear from the industry - and left CDPR. I hope some of these have made it back because of their very obvious love for the source material, the game, and what they can do with it. I trust them completely!
Completely agree with your views! - there are worse things and there are iconic and “true” things, and although they shouldn’t get get rid of the iconic and true things, there is some wiggle room in getting rid of or changing the worse things (if you can really call them “worse” of course!). I hope I kind of understood your view at least
Honestly this game has the potential to be way more fun than the witcher 4, it really depends on the implementation. Seeing Witcher 1 Geralt in a true open-world with Vizima in the unreal 5 engine would be amazing
i wouldnt mind a massive remake to make it akin to witcher 3 but give it the same story maybe branch out more via talking to the author to give side quests love but i dont trust a team to do that without cdprojekt
Speaking of game engines the reason that games that had the same engine felt the same is because they where basically game development tools built just to produce one specific thing it's the reason all ubisoft games feel like farcry because cry engine was built to make far cry unreal engine unity and gdot are general purposes. They are more of a completely blank slate that developers then built off look at are the mod kit for that game is a heavly customized version of unreal 5 when you built anything in it feels like ark
This video was great to help whet my appetite just a little. Gosh, CDPR has given me such core positive memories and am so greatful to them for the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Heart of Stone and Blood & Wine. I am absolutely excited to see how they rework TW1 and TW2. I must admit, I tried to play TW1 and it was quite rough. So I get you when you say it has aged terribly. I was not even able to swing the sword properly for goodness sake. I was hopeless.
It's one of those games that as a more modern gamer (although even for the time it was a bit outdated) the learning curve can be a little frustrating. Even replaying the final boss fight for this recording was like walking over glass. The mutants just spam you with bleeding so you can't move and the movement into future phases of the fight feels arbitrary. You basically have to spam potions then sit in a corner spamming igni just to not instantly die. It is still a really fun game with a very gritty and interesting setting but some areas have aged poorly.
I hope this REMAKE kicks off a REMAKE of the current TRILOGY. Of coruse this will take a lot of years. If it is a very-long term Trillogy Remake it needs to modernize every single aspect of the game to make it coherant with future remakes of the Trilogy.
Mega excited for this remake. While I loved the Witcher 1's atmosphere and charm, the gameplay was very hard to get into. Rebuilding that, and expanding the world and story sounds like it's gonna be great.
I kinda hope the remake the Witcher 2 as well that way later we can have a witcher trilogy bundle where the games kind of all come together and lead into each other more seamlessly. As of now for example only witcher 3 is available on ps5 but if they remake witcher 1 and 2 and release on PlayStation the less initiated into the franchise can enjoy the entire trilogy of games since most people myself included have really only experienced the last part of geralts story in this franchise with the Witcher 3.
Hearing you talk about not having the hardcore rpg elements would be up your alley made me laugh. They probably won't make it with that, we'll need mods for that again, I was a part of the crowd that needed the Witcher 3 to be harder, both in combat and mechanics. CDPR will probably make it casual af just so its accessible to everybody, thats the way it goes with games today. Witcher was never a hardcore rpg :)
I gotta say WitcherGeorge, I agree with most of your points. I just want them to TAKE THEIR TIME with these games. Dont need more possibly good games flopping because of impatience.
I disagree about the campfires, I think it would be SO awesome to have a RDR2 type vibe for things like that. Witcher and RDR2 are my absolute favorite open world games. Even for how undercooked RDR2 is
I didn’t get to play the Witcher 1 when it came out, so I’m excited to finally experience it through the remake. I just want the developers to stay true to the essence of what the Witcher is and no more “adaptations” !
tried to get into witcher 1 several times and never really got far most of att because its so different vs w3 in many ways still the story i want out of the game so its a bit sad i have so hard to just sit down n keep playing this 1st classic game that started it all and a series that i hope will survive me even.. So is there anything to think about when jumping into the witcher 1 game for the 1st time?? Is the 1st game still worth playing in 2024? Yes it is...but i never seem to take the time unfortunatly it ends up in w3 time n time again(well over 1000 hours at this pointg so a play through of w1 would be great to get more new story.. Thanks 4 this video(i will look around in the nexus mods for info on what there is for the w1 game)
@@WitcherGeorge your Witcher videos are the best and you are one of the only players that I ever seen that is a completionist you do every single thing there is on the map, which is hard work!
If they are remaking The Witcher 1, I’m pretty sure they’ll remake The Witcher 2 because it just makes sense: you want continuity in graphics and gameplay. TW3 is wildly popular and CDPR will most likely want the first two games to mesh with TW3 and TW4 so that it’s cohesive. It makes no sense to remake one older game and not the others. I’ve not played the first two: I’d certainly buy the remakes though. As for decisions made in one game going into the next… that’s one feature I love about Mass Effect: it feels like the world you’re in continues from one game to the next. Maybe the decisions don’t matter in a galactic sense but choosing between Alenko and Williams makes a difference because one or the other is out for the rest of the series, as an example. I think it would be great for a decision in TW1 to be felt in TW3 as well, rather than each game resetting everything and nothing you do matters.
I don't want to have to gather and pay for gear upgrades. It was a chore in Witcher 2 and I hated it. And every time I found equipment in Witcher 3 it was already useless due to the level system.
I’ve never met anyone that has played the first one and for good reason - it’s not accessible and if it is the controls are on a different level😂. Witcher 3 is my favorite video game of all time, but the thing that holds it back is its gameplay - even for 2015 standards as well. If they were to do the remake with Souls/Stellar Blade level combat, at the minimum, then it’s and easy GOTY contender
BG 3 better then witcher 3...OH HELL NO. Would love to play witcher I but digging into the old game with those graphics and outdated stuff...this could be a perfect remake to dig into it. I agree with most you say but I do love a realistic gameplay (especially for the witcher) where you have this complexity of mixing all these ingredients (and need to find them or go on a quest to find this organ, blood of a ghoul or whatever) and brewing potions and were you get sick from toxicity etc. It's super cool and what makes the witcher the witcher and not just a dude with a sword. Also makes the world more believable especially in a gritty rough world like this one. What you don't want to "deal" with is an integral part of the world i feel like.
I mean... it is better. Speaking as someone who considers TW3 one of the best games ever made and has put a combined almost 1400 hours into both games, BG3 IS, in fact, significantly better in terms of gameplay and narrative agency, slightly better in terms of acting, and comparable in terms of dialogue, while being easily six to seven times the size. TW3 has a better overall plot, sure. If they were movies, TW3 would win, hands down. But as games? BG3 definitely wins out.
@@blackshard641 BG3 doesn't have comparable dialogue lol. It is much worse than Wither 3's dialogue and it really isn't 6-7 times the size of Witcher 3. It is a big game sure, a lot of its size comes from its turn based combat which is slower and far more time consuming. But yes you do have more agency which is expected since it is a crpg and not an ARPG.
@@blackshard641 Narrative wise, the only thing bg3 has over TW3 is the depth of companion quests. The overall narrative and plot is a basic dnd story. BG3 does have better gameplay, and better, or rather just more, player agency. Both games are spectacular, one is almost 10 years older though
@@blackshard641 Very debatble, BG 3 fulfills another type of fantasy then TW3 does and is a world that appeals to me more. Gameplay wise is also very different, BG is turned based DnD combat, TW3 is a hack and slash 3rd person view. BG 3 is a very good game and a dream for all the DnD nerds come true... but i don't call it a masterpiece, maybe partialy because i don't really like DnD combat as much because it's more luck based (dice) and not so much reflex/skilled based. I mean i can trust my pro gaming reflexes, i can't trust a die. Is the Witcher 3 perfect...no, i recently went for the platinum and i could point out some things that could be better. It's clunky at times, combat is not the best but not as bad as people say, some potions/decoctions have no good usses, toxicity build is op, but i still love it so much. The story is masterfull, the charachters are wonderful, the world is gorgeous, soo much content, it makes you feel like a monster slayer. You could say my relationship with TW3 is like a good marriage, you see the flaws but you love it all the same and if this game was already so good i think Polaris could be the absolute best of the best. Think about it TW3 with modern consoles and tight, fast combat and gameplay. With a witcher that can take fall damage and jump...
I prefer Witcher 1's consumable potions over Witcher 3's just need alcohol, but Witcher 3 had the better crafting system. There's very little reason to collect ingredients for potions unless you have a recipe for a potion you don't have in Witcher 3 and you end up with 100's of ingredients you don't need and potions you will never use but cannot sell. Ingredients are everywhere and plenty of shops to buy them in Witcher 3 but for what reason? There's no challenge to getting what you need for crafting a potion, and there's no fear of running out, just have alcohol and meditate after every fight and I always have 100's of bottles of alcohol by the time I finish the game. Take Witcher 3's abundance of ingredients and shops with it's crafting and Witcher 1's/TES consumable/sellable potions and you have the best of both worlds. A reason to collect/buy ingredients and greater risk of running out. Also potions selling for more than the ingredients are worth is a great source of early game income rather than becoming Overencumbered Man.by collecting weapons and junk to sell.
I'm a simple man. I just want the story and characters of the first game, using the third game's engine (or newer) and the third game's mechanics. The first two witcher games have good stories and are "good" games, they're just old and janky as hell.
Ive only played TW3, ive been skeptical about playing 1 and 2 because i figured based on looks that they would be outdated and i was apparently right for 1 mostly with 2 still having some of it right Dont get me wrong, i love old games like KotoR, The Force Unleashed 1 and so on but TW1 being described as it was in this vid, i doubt ill get much enjoyment from it
Kind of odd for a Witcher focused channel to not be cool with a quintessential aspect of being a witcher, preparing for the fights. Gathering the ingredients, brewing potions and get yourself ready for each battle, like a....witcher.
To clarify I am not against making potions, just having to constantly remake them at a specific location. I saw some ideas about a portable campfire system (which makes sense as you can use igni anywhere) and it seems less annoying to me. However I liked the Witcher 3's system where you can make oils and potions then use them for 3 charges or something (as long as you have alcohol you can replenish). You can still prepare for fights but it takes out having to constantly gather new ingredients and travel to specific locations for a fight you can probably do without using anything.
@@WitcherGeorge To each their own, i guess. I suppose im too much of a traditionalist on that regard, as i really liked the lore-centric approach on W1, rather than the streamlined take on W3. But hey, options are always good, so i see where you're coming from.
Honestly, the RED Engine was quite great for W3 especially the Next Gen Version. And if they go Woke in the process they may lose 90% of their customers. Changing the Engine also means replacing a lot of great RED Engine people. And that worries me as well. Loved what they created so far. I don't need photoreal when playing a Fantasy RPG. That said, I still think the graphics of W3 hold up to this day.
i have never played witcher 1 and 2 i have played witcher 3 and its my fav game of all time i would love to play 1 and 2 but the games are just to old for my taste so i cant wait for the remake and i hope witcher 2 gets a remake aswell
I'll be honest, even though I love the Witcher 3 main story I kinda find the main story for Witcher 1 to be the best of the original trilogy. We spend more time with the gang and the villains are better than the Wild Hunt, etc. It's just inherently the better story, and while we don't have any Ciri, we got Alvin.
I agree to an extent. I think the thing about the witcher 3 is there is the 'main story' but the side stories are really where it excels (the baron, everything in skellige, the contracts etc.). Not to mention the incredible expansions' stories which definitely outshine the base game. But you're right about the witcher 1, it really has a strong 'witcher' feeling. I honestly attribute a lot of it to the inclusion of Vizima and a story including a proper Northern king and beginning with a battle at kaer morhen (not mystical elf soldiers, just a band of organised mercenaries and mages). It all fits with the classic sort of feeling. The Witcher 3 includes so many locations and awesome stories but it can get slightly diluted as the focus is so broad I suppose.
I got Witcher 1 on my pc and it was so frustrating to try to play gameplay wise it has aged very poorly in my opinion it’s the only game I haven’t played and beaten so I’m excited for the remake
I tried to play witcher 1, stopped and moved to witcher 2, and stopped. Then I went back to witcher 3. The reason why was because I only play on a PC. The controls for 1 and 2 are not PC friendly. Sorry I'm 65 years old I'm not going to buy something else and learn how to play it. I hope they make the game PC controls the same as witcher 3. I think they will. Then I will start witcher 1 and then 2 again.
same for me on PC, witcher 1 combat gameplay made me put on halt the whole serie. If it's reworked to my taste i'll read the books and play all the games.
Witcher 1 is best of all witcher games. Also witcher 1 and 3 are both open world games. there is nothing new in witcher 3 except quantity. Your whole video is one big mr mr mr mr mrmrmr
saying you prefer bg3 over witcher 3 is an odd take, its like saying you prefer painting warhammer figuerines over playing soccer...uhm...ok,but its a little apples to oranges lol
Well, think they gave us a taste of what TW1 remake could look alredy, with BAW, that's why they included couple of creatures from the first game into TW3. I am bit more "nervous" but about the rest, the story/narrative, alchemy, combat, world building, atmosphere, etc...and that they doest take ANY "inspiration" from Netflix🤷♂️😒Edit: For TW2 I am on board for a remake, if they keept untoched all the voice acting and not wash away the mature content about politics and violence, like that f-d up scene of what Radovid did at Loc Muinne😳☹️
I disagree with your take on the potion mechanic. Witcher 1 was the most immersive experience for me. Yeah its dated and the combat can get frustrating at times, but I loved the fact that you really had to prepare (like a Witcher). I LOVE resource management in games. Prioritizing certain options over others made the world more tense and gave choices more impact. Not a huge fan of “gamifying “ and just making things simpler. I’ve never minded a learning curve. Makes mastering the mechanics more fulfilling. Maybe it’s rose colored glasses, maybe I just love tedium 😂. I just know that I felt the most like a Witcher in the first game.
Personally, I got dissinterested on BG3 while playing it first time, leaving my game unfinished on chapter 3 for a possible future to continue it. Compare that with Witcher 3 and losing count of the playthroughs I've already done. Edit; I dissagree about the time skipping comment. Tell me, what happened around you when you where in that sweet REM phase? In real life we "time skip" each time we sleep 😂

That would be cool, doing the whole camp aspect with Witcher.
I liked that aswell, I think the whole alchemy thing had most depth in Witcher 1.
And it made sense since geralt is a cautious guy and if u wake up with a face like that every morning, chances are you gonna wanna stay drunk
Every time I see the Witcher 2 outfits, it makes me want to play it again. Loved the aesthetics even though the graphics are outdated
Really hope the remake has witcher 3 gameplay
I hope it has a better gameplay than Witcher 3 u mean? Lets not forget Witcher 3 is 10 years old and by the time Witcher 1 Remake comes out it might be 12-13 years old
@@guighee7310 Witcher 3 is 9 years old but it will be 10 years old next year
Let's hope it's a great blend of all the best parts of the saga with some modern innovations!
@@jonjonboi3701☝🤓 ''actually''
Witcher 3 was great. The only thing could been better was leveling system. I finished game with lot of unused points and a lot of skills proved worthless. I gave up from magic for instance because it's just wasn't significant in fights
The better keep the legendary line deliveries like “your ass puts others to shame”
I’m sure they will
"I'm Vernon Roche, commander of the Blue Stripes."
Geralt jumps on his back, "Faster Roach"
What kind of Witcher are you? Brewing potions is a part of it! Knowledge about those and also which potion works against which monsters was part of feeling like a Witcher.
they need to be carfel with the open world thing. remember how close white orchard was to vizima in tw3? and how close the niffgarden camp in velen is supposed to be to Vizima. they really can't expand it too much without crossing into tw3's maps
If they’re catering to “modern audiences” I don’t think we’ll get the hardcore shit like we did with the previous games as well as what’s in the books
They never said that.
As I've seen a few comments addressing this I'll copy my previous comment to share my thoughts:
Although I am concerned about changes to the saga and hope they focus on good storytelling, established lore and characters, whatever the company decides is what we have to deal with I suppose. All you can do is let them know your thoughts on their product with your wallet and invest in the products that align with your interests, no need to feel like you have to like something. We already have the amazing original trilogy at least.
@@TESMediaGroup ofc they never said that, if they did it would cut their profits before they even released it lol
Thats exaactly what they will be doing after seeing that woke vid they released
They could also just turn the more hardcore stuff to a higher difficulty which would be dope
Netflix Witcher didn't anything stupid in it.

I want Vizima to be as big as Novigrad and Oxenfurt together.
I still want the city to be open, but we need a good excuse for the three main districts being separated, because the story needs that.
there is a reason for it to be separated, its the reason they used in the first game.
@@_K_e_yI think the remake will come out before because wasn’t it announced that they’ve only just gone into full production for TW4?
@@JajsjNsbsvshana I don't know man, that it's just what CDPR said about it.
They didn't mutate Leo. He was a regular human that was learning witcher ways. Couldn't get mutations because he was too old, and would 100% die.
i hope it will be fairly priced
Free for the original's owners? Well I wouldn't be surprised
9:54 No joke, Dagon and tge Vodyanoi feel wedged in, like a side quest. It actually feel more side questy than the noon wraith.
Thanks for the video~
I'm quite looking forward to the remake and wish the fools theory studio luck with it all
Having the open world for the witcher one would really great as would having the lore/storyline more balanced with the other games.
I do not think it would take away too much from the game if they made a in depth open world for exploration as in the witcher 3, geralt didn't need to do ALL that exploring but it added alot to the game that was very enjoyable and I learnt alot more of the world by having that experience.
Looks like Dryad is back on the menu.
That would all be great. Especially a questline in Mahakam would be fun if it was separated from the main story.
Great video, as always! I can't wait for the remake.
I hope all is well, and I'm looking forward to the next video!
Great vid thanks for keeping us up to date man!
I would love to see Witcher I and II fully remade with modern tech. I tried to play Witcher I, but I just couldn't get into it, mostly due to tech.
4:00
The character of Alvin itself is a problem for the "trilogy".
On the smaller maps of the Witcher 1 it is possible to navigate doing this most of the time. e.g. Some Quests don't tell you where to go but the majority of places can be found by just walking around and talking to people(at least in the first two acts as I'm playing the original right now)
If you get lost a quick look in the map makes you instantly know where to go next.
A reason for that could be the skill that health
regeneration lasts for insane amounts of time.
I’m flabbergasted that it’s taking so long for a new Witcher game, whether the remake or Witcher 4!
PS Store have The Witcher 3 for 75% off and the 2 addons for 65% off 😉
Completely agree with your views! - there are worse things and there are iconic and “true” things, and although they shouldn’t get get rid of the iconic and true things, there is some wiggle room in getting rid of or changing the worse things (if you can really call them “worse” of course!). I hope I kind of understood your view at least
This video was so enjoyable to watch. Safe to say we all CANT WAIT for this game. More excited for this than the Witcher 4 even..
Limit your expectations guys, best way to go forward. We all have been let down by developers and publishers for our favourite games.
You should cover Rise of the White Wolf, the cancelled console remake of Witcher 1.
Nice suggestion!
I hope they recreate the second one as well. That hurts my eyes
Witcher 1 still has best potion and oils system,
I hate how short durations and nonse refill is in 2 and 3
I gotta say WitcherGeorge, I agree with most of your points. I just want them to TAKE THEIR TIME with these games. Dont need more possibly good games flopping because of impatience.
I cannot agree more!! Although some more communication with the fans would certainly help to ease the wait 😂.
I disagree about the campfires, I think it would be SO awesome to have a RDR2 type vibe for things like that. Witcher and RDR2 are my absolute favorite open world games. Even for how undercooked RDR2 is
Will it be released as a separate game or an update to the old one? Also what about the price?
Hope the gameplay and combat is similar to Witcher 3 with some upgrades
Unreal 5 is cool, but I always thought Witcher 3 with their own engine had its own charm
A lot of Witcher 1 was outdated on release. That combat gameplay.
i won't lie, combat in witcher 1 was such a turn off for me i'm waiting for the remake to begin this adventure.
I didn’t get to play the Witcher 1 when it came out, so I’m excited to finally experience it through the remake. I just want the developers to stay true to the essence of what the Witcher is and no more “adaptations” !
You will experience the remake, not W1. If you want to experience W1, play W1.
You might as well play the original since the remake is still years away
Oh god! Changing parts of the witcher 1? I hope that’s not code for “updating it for a modern audience”.
tried to get into witcher 1 several times and never really got far most of att because its so different vs w3 in many ways still the story i want out of the game so its a bit sad i have so hard to just sit down n keep playing this 1st classic game that started it all and a series that i hope will survive me even..

Thank you :)
@@WitcherGeorge your Witcher videos are the best and you are one of the only players that I ever seen that is a completionist you do every single thing there is on the map, which is hard work!
I’m really excited about the remake
He’s back
Guess who's back. Tell a friend :)
They won't allow some of the scenarios
As long as they have SOMEONE MENTION Ciri and Yennefer to Geralt, I'm fine.
agree about potions and the like too, i´m bored of hyper-survivalism in games.
What Steel Sword is that with the Red Handle??? 3:25
Ive only played TW3, ive been skeptical about playing 1 and 2 because i figured based on looks that they would be outdated and i was apparently right for 1 mostly with 2 still having some of it right
Dont get me wrong, i love old games like KotoR, The Force Unleashed 1 and so on but TW1 being described as it was in this vid, i doubt ill get much enjoyment from it
W2 is perfecly playable ,W1 is preety dated like you said
Kind of odd for a Witcher focused channel to not be cool with a quintessential aspect of being a witcher, preparing for the fights.
Wait, why are they remaking? I was looking forward to a continuation...
The NPC lines are fantastic, I hope they keep them. Like "die s*iteater!"
Limit realism for the sake of fun? What? You mean you don't want Geralt to need to take a shit a couple times a day?
What you mean? It’s totally fun to lie in bed for a week after getting bitten by a ghoul.😂
I only want them to keep THE cards
Did I hear bro say Witcher trilogy retrospective 🤤
i always can not finish the collecting the teeth of monster quest of witcher 1
NO more DEI, but much more B & G and T n' A!!!
The dreaded modern audience
I can't wait
Your whole video is one big mr mr mr mr mrmrmr
saying you prefer bg3 over witcher 3 is an odd take, its like saying you prefer painting warhammer figuerines over playing soccer...uhm...ok,but its a little apples to oranges lol
very good video
I just know that I felt the most like a Witcher in the first game.
immersive does not have to be clumsy and badly designed, all traits of the first game
Personally, I got dissinterested on BG3 while playing it first time, leaving my game unfinished on chapter 3 for a possible future to continue it. Compare that with Witcher 3 and losing count of the playthroughs I've already done.
Edit;
I dissagree about the time skipping comment. Tell me, what happened around you when you where in that sweet REM phase? In real life we "time skip" each time we sleep 😂
They should just do a trilogy remake in unreal 5...
