    I just did this your way. The only difference between what I did and what you did is that I only replaced the right side, and my hubs and wheel bearing were easy to come off. You are spot on! It took me all told about four hours with a lot of extra time spent trying to get the exact tools I needed. I was quoted $1575 buy a repair shop to do this and I did it for $40.

    Hammer the joint out while holding the stun shaft was pretty slick I must say I just did it

      Nice! Just remember, if the hammering gets too intense, don’t be surprised if the joint starts calling for a lawyer! 😂
      Just kidding Great Job!!!!

    Great video, very helpful. I used a sacrificial socket and a air hammer on the bolt into the hub although pushing it with the power steering looks like a good option too.

    Very obvious you know what your doing thanks for all the little details! I came up with something a while back on a stuck rotor I use heat like you but it was rusted so bad I couldn't get it . I ran two bolts with jam nuts through the mounting holes for the caliper pushed it right off!! I did put a scrap peace of flat bar between the rotor and the bolt end to protect the rotor.
    Thanks again

    Use a air hammer with a flat bit on the rotor surface where it sits on the hub. Comes off everytime.

    Instead of beating hell out of it, I use 2 1/2 inch bowls with 2 nuts on each through the caliper mount. Have the nut(and maybe a washer) against the rotor side of the caliper mount and the othe nut right at the base of the rotor. Begin tightening the nut against the caliper mount, both top and bottom, until it pops the rotor off the hub.
    Easy peasy

      Awesome tip, man! I love that idea-way less hassle than just hammering away! Gonna give that a shot next time!

    When you tightened your axel nut how did you avoid the nut from pulling the axel out of diff making it unsealed ?

    • @CudaFishEStories
      @CudaFishEStories  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think i understand what your asking? if this don't answer your queston please ask again
      look at the video again and you will see there is a sholder on the axle, just past the spline. when you tighten the nut you are pressing that sholder up against the back of the hub bearing. So the nut sandwiches the axle to the hub bearing and then, them 4 hub bearing bolts hold it secure to the knuckle or the part that turns back and forth as your turn the steering wheel.

    Would it ruin anything if u had grease in the new cap so the needles wont fall out ?

    • @CudaFishEStories
      @CudaFishEStories  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They have grease in them already, but adding more could help as you have said.

    Ya know what? I've removed u joints, all kinds of ways usually use impact sockets and a pound away never ever thought of just hitting the end of the spindle. Doing the job today, hopefully the New york rust doesn't tell me no on that method, haha

      Good luck, hope it works out for you. if your not going to do the job for a day or so, spray some penetration oil on every thing. This tool amzn.to/4fX3ONq will save you hours on removing the hub bearing.

    • @CudaFishEStories
      @CudaFishEStories  หลายเดือนก่อน

      which part? If your taking about the hub bearing, the tool i showed has never failed.
      If your talking about the rotor.......Lots of heat, Lots of hammering and Lots of wax to melt in after its hot.
      If you can get the bearing loose you can remove the axle with out removing the rotor or the axle nut. BUT the chances of damaging, the seal in side the axle housing, is Vary High.
