My pick for Lanterns is Green Arrow. A lot of people were expecting him to be part of the slate, and the iconic Dennis O'Neil/Neal Adams Green Lantern run, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, has a strong focus on Hal and Oliver's friendship and it's also where John is introduced. I really want Etrigan to show up in Swamp Thing, he's such a great less-popular character.
Green Arrow in Lanterns would be great, Hal and Ollie have teamed up a lot and have great chemistry. I can see having John in the mix working well plus it'd also set him and Black Canary up for a future movie or series.
I really think he's gonna be in the series. James Gunn said Lanterns "it's like True Dectetive" and the plot is gonna be "a terrestrial mystery". The way is more than paved.
Insane how three characters in Legacy (Mr Terrific, Guy Gardener and Hawkgirl) were all predicted but only in the projects immediately before and after Legacy
A animated Teen Titans movie made with care and creativity that understands the potential of animation like Puss N Boots 2 or Spider-Verse would go so unbelievably hard!
@@suto5704 yeah that's fair, although I feel like it's easier to put characters in Live Action and transition them to animation rather than the reverse
I would really love a teen titans movie in James Gunns New dcu rather a live action or a animated film And I can definitely see the teen titans look cool in the animation of the spider verse and puss in boots 2
I would LOVE to see The Question appear in either Peacemaker or Waller. Mainly Peacemaker cuz I love the idea of all the Charlton characters being in one show. But he’d honestly work better in Waller cuz I can see Amanda needing some dirt to expose a big secret nobody knows about, or vis versa he can be an antagonist to Waller as a crimefighter who wants to expose her whole operation. Either way there’s no other person in the DC world to expose a crazy conspiracy than the crazy conspiracy theorists himself.
having him be a legit well founded conspiracy theorist unraveling real conspiracies in the government while peacemaker is the sillier type of conspiracy theorist who believes the most absurd things imagineable would work extremely well as a point of reference for both Waller and Peacemaker, hope they do this it'd be great
@@Marabcd315 the contrast would be amazing. Imagine the banter dude, just two tin foil hat nutjobs beefing with each other. Then having him pose an actual real threat to Wallers operations. It’s so juicy bro
I don't think he should be the conspiracy theorist like in the DCAU. I really want them to stick with the objectivist version of him, then make a transition to the Zen version in the future.
@@akwilson1676 I think they can do a mix of the Comic version and the animated version. But honestly Question from JLU is just 100% more interesting than the comic version. They really made him stick out in a show filled with unique characters, he was one of the most unique. His whole MO and personality was strong enough to practically be a superpower on the Justice League, that’s how potent it was, a perfect personality fit for a guy that calls himself The Question. It’s the iteration that pops up in fans heads first when you mention the character
@@RomanceRoach Yeah but imo that version of him mostly works in a show like JLU. If he is to have his own show I don't think it would work quite as well. The comics give him a quite well defined arc that he has to go through so it's much easier to build from there.
I think Gunn could do a very funny version of the Legion of Superheroes as antagonists for Booster Golds. Have them be super heroic young teens trying to track Booster down for doing some time shenanigans
1. Secret/Unannounced project is probably Wonder Woman after Paradise Lost, they're holding off on announcing it until they can say they've fired Gal after Flash comes out so they can still use her to sell the movie, because I dont see them only having projects for 2/3 of the trinity. Either that or Flash himself as the hidden project. 2. Since Tom King is involved in the creation of this slate, I feel like Christopher Chance/Human Target might pop up in the Waller show. He just feels like he'd be someone who Waller has in her call-book. 3. Grifter REALLY changes depending on the writer, but he's basically Deadpool without medium awareness. Same job, similar powers, same GENERAL disposition. 4. People have suspected Gunn's "Thanos" is going to be Vandal Savage, and his first tease/appearance makes sense to be in Booster Gold in a similar capacity to Kang in Loki.
@edittzz4175 I think, considering King's involvement, we might get a Mister Miracle show at some point soon (end of Phase/Chapter 2, maybe) and I think JUST having Darkseid be the villain of that would be great, especially if they stick close to King's run where his villainy comes more from his mere existence and what he represents to SCOTT more than the threat he poses to the world.
Vandal Savage would make a good Chapter One antagonist, but considering the MCU differences, I have a bit of doubt that they'll go with one unifying antagonist at the end of this initial plan.
Waller would be a good place to introduce a lot of the espionage characters at DC. You could bring in Nightshade who was in the Suicide Squad and if they’re going with “The Trial of Amanda Waller” as was the rumor for a while her dad could be the Senator leading the hearing. You could also bring in King Faraday or Cameron Chase or, since we’re getting an Authority movie, Henry Bendix.
And I’m going to throw out a really weird wild card. Maybe the main character of the Paradise Lost show won’t be Artemis or Nubia but Exoristos from the Demon Knights and we get Etrigan or Ser Ystin and the crew at some point.
Would I be right in thinking DC have more of an espionage side than Marvel. I feel like in Marvel espionage is really just old Nick Fury books and some Captain America or related characters. I really don't have a massive grasp of DC beyond a passing knowledge of the League and the bat family
I think Green Arrow and Black Canary are co-leading a movie really soon as well and could appear. I'd be thrilled to see you fancast every corner of this DCU like you did the X-Men!
I feel like they have to take advantage of Zantanna in chapter 2. Very interesting character that doesn't get enough of a spotlight. Plus her character is like if John Constantine or Dr Strange had more sex appeal and were less brooding
Just as a thought, if they did introduce Elongated Man in the Booster Gold series, I think it would be more interesting to go back to his earlier comic book roots and make him a regular human detective who drinks his own Gingold soda temporarily going him powers of elasticity. Not only to differentiate that version of the character with the one we got on The Flash tv show, but to also to parallel Booster Gold, who’s a regular guy who uses future tech and museum artifacts to give him superpowers. Booster may be the “fun and games first, work later” kind of guy while EM is the “get work done first, fun and games later” kind of guy, at the end of the day, they’re both ordinary goof balls trying to do the right thing, even when others don’t give them enough credit or recognition. Just realizing that that last part is pretty much the same if it was Blue Beetle.
Since Booster is time traveller, I could see him meeting other heroes from different period in DC history, like Jonah Hex, Etrigan (who has being around since the middle age) or even Kamandi.
Ostrander Suicide Squad, which Gunn based his TSS on, has a lot of darker and interesting backstory for Waller that no movie or tv show has touched. I think he’ll pull from that.
I highly recommend Hawkworld by John Ostrander and Hawkman by Robert Vendetti. Also, Shayera (Hawkwoman) and Kendra (Hawkgirl) are two different characters. The more popular redhead goes by Hawkwoman, but the JL animated show went with Hawkgirl for some reason
Not sure if you've seen Superman and Lois but definitely recommend it as a Superman fan. Steel is also in that show and he is one of my favorite characters!
I bet Lobo would show up as a criminal in the Green Lantern show, maybe on Earth to collect a bounty that the Lanterns are trying to protect or avenge.
I wonder who the villain is going to be in The Brave In The Bold, maybe a version of Ra’s Al Ghul that can actually resurrect himself, he is Damian’s grandfather after all
I imagine they'll go a lot more fantastical with it to separate it from the Reeves movies as much as possible, so a super-mystic Ra's would be cool. Especially if they used it to bring in Cassandra Cain as Batgirl.
I would say Ted Kord appearing in Booster Gold, but considering Blue Beetle is coming out before any of the mentioned projects, it'd make more sense to have him appear there, even if it's just in a flashback.
I would love Rip Hunter to appear in Booster Gold because we know in the comics, he's the future son of Booster Gold and it could be great for him to mentor his father on how to be a proper hero
Call me crazy for thinking this but how cool would it be if in the Paradise Lost they introduce Darkseid’s half Amazonian daughter Grail? She’s a pretty powerful threat and you get a nice Easter egg for Darkseid. Idk, maybe it’s too early to tease Darkseid?
I would love the Green Lantern Tomar-Re in Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, having Kara meet the Lantern who was in charge of protecting Krypton but was too late and was a failure and have Kara forgive him would be great
I could see Red Hood being a guest (anti-) hero in the Authority. While Grifter would make sense given the Wildstorm connection, Red Hood basically fills a pretty similar role (minus the telepathy) and helps to set up a personal stake for Batman in the inevitable Justice League vs Authority movie (I agree that's looking where things are going). For the Brave and the Bold, I think that movie will be crowded as it is with the Bat Family, so adding in an outside character seems like it would be a bit much (even though I agree that Zatanna would be a good pick). I agree with all the other picks, but would like to propose an alternative for Elongated Man in Booster Gold: Rip Hunter. He fits the time travel theme and could play the straight man to Booster's class clown. Plus if Gunn is basing these projects heavily on the comics, we could see an adaptation of Booster's story from 52 with Rip as the co-lead.
I would love if The Authority introduced the Planetary team. They’ve crossed paths in the comics a couple of times; could allow Planetary to exist in the background for other movies/shows; & could allow DC to take a swipe at the FF since their doppelgängers are the enemies of the Planetary team.
Here's how I see DCU coming together; 1) If James Gunn is serious about creating a connective Universe for DC, he should introduce Booster Gold into Blue Beetle movie by revealing the Scarab came from Boosters future and Booster was hunting it down through time, I know that typically Khaji Da Scarab is from present time but having it come from the future would be unexpected plot-twist. 2) The Season finale of Creature Commandos could introduce Swamp Thing since he's a monster charatcer too, it's a perfect fit either way 3) I'd much rather see Vixen star alongside John in Lanterns movie before Hawkgirl cause it's too early to introduce her into the DCU plus you can't force John and Shieras relationship out of nowhere, it has to gradually be built up like in the cartoon. 4) Martian Manhunter could be introduced in Authority since he worked for that group in comics, I can see a post-credit scene where either Batman, Superman or both recruit him into the Justice League. 5) As for Lex, they should save him as overarching threat that operates in the shadows and have him gather Legion of Doom for a grander plan in mind
This video definitely is something I was thinking about. How each project can expand the universe in terms of new heroes, villains and other characters that aren't the protagonists..
I’m definitely hoping for Zatanna, Constantine, Bobo, and more in the magic department. I would prefer that Zatanna is actually of Italian origin, Constantine sounds like he’s from Liverpool, etc.
I wish JLD was announced instead of Creature Commandos honestly considering that they own all their IPs but let's see in the future, I hope there will be a JLD adaptation.
I really like the idea of the BatB (or it's sequel if continues developing the same thematic throughlines) being a pseudo adaptation of Under the Red Hood with newlyish revived Jason being the antagonist in a similar way as that story. Lots of dramatic potential and parallels with that concept. Bruce's anxiety about failure with Damien now in his care a more literal son than ever, Jason having some simmering bitterness about Bruce moving on from him combining with insecurity about being and not being his son (previously compounded by Dick's presence in the timeline) to make a really tragic dynamic with an even deeper protag/antag emotional connection on the Robin side of things rather than just Batman, Bruce owning up to mistakes and both learning not to let who you were and what you've done/been rule your present and future, culminating in his eventual re-edemption. Fatherhood. Trauma. Mistakes and responsibility. Betterment. Hope. The different ties that bind us. Actually on second thought I think I like this more as the sequel rather than original, partly because Jason might feel a little more natural for a 2nd outing rather than a 1st. But mostly because I think the emotional tension is well realized by a Damien & Bruce that have just met and are skeptical about each other but develop a bond of trust through traversing this deeply personal ordeal, I think it's a lot more well suited to a dynamic where their bond has only just been forged, and all these revelations and traumas and hard questions and difficult personal truths (especially if Bruce has yet to tell Damien about Jason) seriously test this newfound bond they've dedicated themselves to. Not to mention the antagonist connection between the two Robin's is massively more effective if Damien is filling the mantle under his own conscious choice and initial pride, rather than a largely contextual, semi arbitrary obligation.
Green Arrow needs to appear, most probably on Green Lanterns. Also, maybe Lobo in Superman? played by a certain Jaon Mamoa? Lol. Lobo is a good antagonist for the Man of Steel. He is not really a villain but can hold his own fighting Supes and would make a heck of a character.
I also think Constantine is getting made stat because James Gunn seems like the type of guy who 1) knows the stories of people meeting him in real life and, 2) wants to meet Constantine in real life
I think Paradise Lost will be about Hippolyta and the Themysciran’s conflict with the Bana-Mighdall Amazons (Artemis and Antiope’s tribe) before they left the island. James might use the WW: Historia black label book as inspiration for their origin!
introducing poison ivy in swamp thing could be sick asf. ivy is a fan favorite character and anti hero at this point so she could start there as someone that swamp thing saves using the green or something then spiral off into gotham.
Doing Steel so quickly seems like it might be rehashing Superman & Lois a bit. I feel like Star Sapphire would be a safer bet than Hawkgirl. Plus, Hawkgirl seems like a weird inclusion to me. I think someone like Rip Hunter or even some of the Legion would make more sense, or even reintroducing Maxwell Lord as a sort of wheeler-and-dealer talent agent-type.
Zatanna is more likely for Swamp Thing - I can imagine her showing up and taking ST to the House of Mystery - tying in Constantine etc. BUT we are definitely getting Etrigan wherever we get Constantine and I'm so excited to see him in the grand scheme of things.
Had been thinking about Brainiac as the big bad of Gods & Monsters since the reveal, it can tie up with Superman: Legacy, obviously Woman of Tomorrow (Cause he could destroyed Krypton like in Injustice) and the Lanterns can disciver that he is in Earth for some time, undercover
Lo mismo pensé yo eliminando a darkseid y ya vimos una adaptación live action del antimonitor recientemente brainiac es la mejor opción para un thanos en este dcu
I’m hoping to see Duke Thomas in the brave and the bold. There are 3rd act moments in we are robin that would be cool action set pieces and emotional moments for Damian’s arc.
I think for superman legacy I could see the bad guy being Livewire among others - if presenting a division between the optimistic superman and the cynical world around him - his biggest critic who had a radio show against him would be perfect for it. Maybe she is backed by Lex and others
I’m really hoping Martian manhunter is going to be on the main justice league. Such a underrated character who is truly the dark horse of the team. Other characters I’m hoping for are Lex Luther, John Constantine, Mister Terrific, Zatanna, and Killer Croc, though I mostly am hoping to see Luther in Superman Legacy
the one very random character ive been lobbying for to appear in one of these is the classic batman villain the mad hatter. i justn think hes fun. and we could use him to get back to the old tradicition of silly batman villain temup movie, with him and like killer moth and clayface vs bruce and damian. could be fun
@@thephony1651 I think it will be cool if Damian finds his father Bruce which is Batman, only to find a different person in the cowl which is Dick because Dick is also finding Bruce. That would be cool, but I don't think they'll go with that route but let's see.
As much as I love Brainiac, I don’t know if he quite fits the theme of “gods and monsters,” not that everything that’s on the slate does, but i think as more projects get announced that theme will start to become more apparent and brainiac should be saved for the future when this universe is more established. So hear me out - demonic elements and the occult side of the dc universe is introduced in swamp thing with the appearance of Jason Blood aka Etrigan the Demon. Bat-family plot lines established in the brave and the bold continue into a Teen Titans project where we are introduced to Raven. Maybe its a show maybe its a movie but whatever it is of courses establishes her, shows off her powers and teases their origins but revealing them. End with a post credit scene that sees Raven’s meditation being interrupted due to making psychic contact with her father and she is horrified. Continue to add more characters in more stories, but stick to furthering two overarching plot lines: building the justice league, and the development of characters and teams related to the occult and supernatural. The culmination of the two is the official formation of the justice league, and the arrival of Trigon. DCU chapter 1: Gods and Monsters then reaches its climax with Justice League: Dark, a massive crossover movie that pits the Justice League, the teen titans, maybe even suicide squad, and other characters like swamp thing, etrigan, zatanna, Constantine, etc, against Trigon and the forces of hell. I think Justice League Dark gives the DCU a chance to do something different right off the bat. The many superhero team up movies that have been made over the past two decades are sort of characterized by their villains, and those villains are typically tech or space based. Trigon is as big and as bad as any of the other heavy hitter big bads in the DCU, but because he operates in that occult side of the universe and is primarily magic-based this movie can be something entirely different than anything from the Snyderverse and more importantly the mcu. TLDR: Justice League: Dark with Trigon as the main villain to end Chapter 1
I just watched the Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox animated movie and it had the Grifter in it. I think it was the first time I came across him. He seemed like a Red Hood type with double guns. Didn’t appear to have any powers, but he wasn’t on screen all that much.
Creature Commandos could introduce a few different gothic or weird characters. With the art featuring a fish-person, I kinda wonder if the comments about the Aquaman 2 film might just maybe mean Lagoon Boy will be introduced there and wind up on the Creature Commandos. Maybe they already have someone picked out. Otherwise, it really is an obscure title they could in theory do almost anything with. Maybe Deadman, he's a ghost and also in Justice League Dark with Swamp Thing. With Superman being focused on "Legacy", and the Batman film, I can see a couple of different routes they might want to go. Steel is a definite possibility, but with what's slated for the Brave and the Bold, I'm thinking either Jon Kent (to pair with as a foil for Damian) or Conner Kent if Tim Drake is going to be in it. If you're wrong about Jason Todd being in play, or they decide to specifically tease his return, Bizzaro might be another possibility. A younger Superman actor might not necessarily mean a younger Superman. He is supposed to age slower and maybe with the snail's pace of the previous projects, and wanting to sell that idea they might go with what they're currently doing in Superman and Lois, with an actress that's a bit older for Lois Lane to kinda sell the idea Superman is aging slower. Waller is really the biggest enigma for me as far as who that show might possibly springboard. Now you did mention Grifter, for the Authority and during the New 52, which first brought the Wildstorm characters into the mainstream DC continuity, a younger Amanda Waller was rectoned to have been on Team 7 with Grifter (and so was Steve Trevor), so if he is going to be in this, this might actually be a place to first introduce him as someone who knows Amanda Waller. Lobo has been paired with Supergirl as a foil before, so he might show up in her movie. I could really see that. Brainiac in her movie could maybe be a setup for the rivals to lovers take with Brainiac 5 in the animated Legion movie that came out recently, if they're going to have her associated with the Legion of Superheroes. Like let her have a really big reason to absolutely hate Brainiac, then throw her into the future with his descendant, who she has to work with. Another interesting thing is if we have Brainiac and Lobo, is Lobo was in Brainiac 2's L.E.G.I.O.N. team, so that could be another potential setup. Heck with some interpretations of the character you could have the multiple iterations of Brainiac all played by the same actor, like what they did with the character of Harrison Wells they invented for the CW Flash show. For Green Lanterns, I also think Green Arrow is a strong possibility. Especially if Roy Harper or Black Canary might also be a possibility as Roy could be a Teen Titans or Outlaws tie-in or Black Canary could be a Birds of Prey tie-in. My guess is they'll probably be investigating something alien or of cosmic significance on Earth that really shouldn't be there. Depending on the level of build-up they're willing to do this could be anything from the usual alien shenanigans, to maybe Black Hand and setup for Blackest Night in the future. A Guy Gardener introduction could potentially lead into a Justice League International lineup. If they are doing Black Hand he was originally a Flash villain, and if they're re-casting the Flash this is another possible introduction. They might skip Guy's official Green Lantern Corps membership and have him as their "man on the inside" for the Red Lanterns like in his early New 52 plot line if they are going to do Blackest Night, basically switch the order of those plot lines maybe. For your Paradise Lost takes, you've actually been switching Nubia and Artemis. Nubia is part of the Amazons from Themyscira, and Artemis is from Bana-Migdal. Donna Troy (take your pick of origin) or Cassie Sandsmark, or Yara Flor could either be a thing (if Wonder Woman is already running around) or teased. Really depending on who else is going to be in, or teased the other projects. Donna if they're trying to set up another Teen Titans project, or Cassie Sandsmark if they're trying to set up a new Young Justice based project, and Yara Flor, if they're having both Jon and Damian for some Future State type Justice League. If I remember correctly Jason Blood actually lives in Gotham, so if we're sticking close to comic lore he might be the best bet for the Brave and the Bold. I think that movie will either A. Be very Batfam heavy, with Dick or Barbra or Tim or all of them playing big roles, or B. Be like the comics or the cartoon show and have a pretty major Batman team-up. I will say that having lots of Batfam characters might be a count against the latter, as this could potentially be a springboard for a Dick Grayson led Teen Titans project, or Barbra Gordon led Birds of Prey project, or Tim Drake led Young Justice project, or goddammit, maybe Jason will come back too and with Artemis in Paradise Lost this could be a Red Hood and the Outlaws springboard. I only mention that because Outlaws seems like it might be more James Gunn's flavor. Like with the not wanting to pair Booster Gold with Plastic Man, I actually think Swamp Thing and Etrigan/Jason Blood are maybe a bit too much alike, and Swamp Thing might do better paired with the rather totally different Zatanna. Although Zatanna can get a bit dark and edgy too, especially since she's in and out of Constantine's circle. For the Authority an interesting character is Jenny Quantum, a "century baby" the physical manifestation of the "power" 21st century (Quantum Mechanics), and kinda the team mascot and Midnighter's and Apollo's unofficially adopted kid, she and The Engineer are in most incarnations of the team (as either The Authority or as Stormwatch), and Natasha Irons seems to kinda be a replacement for her in the latest version. If both Jon and Damian are going to be in play she might be an interesting character to throw into the mix with the two of them in a potentially similar age range. A bit more direct link might be Henry Bendix, who is also from the Wildstorm continuity and is leader of the Island of Gomorrah in the new mainstream continuity, where Jay Nakamura is actually from. He was a puppet master character and leader of Stormwatch, the team that was the predecessor of The Authority in the original Wildstorm continuity, and also responsible for basically creating Midnighter and Apollo. So depending on relative ages a young boy with pink hair that walks through walls might appear, or otherwise be teased. As I'm guessing with using human actors they can just actually have Jon Kent age up in real time if he's going to be a thing. Just have him start as the older member of the pair with Damian. A distinct possibility for The Authority, might actually be to have something similar to the current Gomorrah plot line be in play: IE a rogue island nation of mostly meta-humans run by an evil dictator and have them at least be kinda the good guys overthrowing Henry Bendix, but also making the rest of the world nervous at the prospect of them having the reigns of power. So if they do face off against the Justice League, it might not be quite so cut and dry good guys versus bad guys conflict.
My impression of Grifter comes from the old Wild C.A.Ts cartoon so it might be out of date, but back then at least he was basically "Gambit, but with guns." He's morally grey but generally a good guy, he's flirty, and he doesn't take himself too seriously.
My bet is that the brave and the coke franchise will be these stories: 1.Batman and son 2.Batman Black glove/ RIP 3.Dick Grayson batman and Robin 4.Batman in time 5.Batman incorporated
The WildStorm Universe is the topic I could do a dissertation on right now with no notes. I think you're off a bit on those characters, but they were from a time
I love Zatana as a love interest for Bruce, its a ship I don't see talked about enough and wasn't on my radar until I read Batman Urban Legends, but it makes a lot of sense to me
I think that Grifter fits more with Amanda because they were in a team once. With this they can also have Kurt Lance, Dinah's ex-husband, so they could have a hint that Dinah exists in the DCU world. In the Authority, it maybe assumed that they are gonna go with the Jenny Sparks century baby or possibly other century babies might come in play.
Dude they're not going to forsake the Justice League title, they'll just give it a subtitle. That was to be expected anyway since they wouldn't likely have two films in a row titled simply "Justice League".
I would not mind seeing Atrocitus in the supergirl show as a quick cameo.. Especially since she is a more messed up version of the character. I don't think it will matter if Atrocitus is a lantern yet or not though..
BoosterGold TV Show is an EASY gateway to Ted Kord! And the fact that he's a Time Traveler from the Future, they can make it be that he's from the 25th Century and Traveled to the 80s or 90s and meets Ted Kord. Like that they can still have Jaime Reyes while still showing Ted Kord still owns the Scarab... Even if he doesn't use it.
I think that instead of Steel, Superman Legacy will rely on teasing the Legion of Superheroes (you know, because they are Superman´s Legacy?). Maybe we will get an adaptation of that moment when superman teamed up with Supermen of other eras and will have the "superman cant save everybody" scene with Pa Kent.
I am really hoping to see Grifter in the authority movie, i never thought we will ever see Wildstorm characters and when they announced the movie, out of everyone i was more excited for a chance to see Grifter since they try to bring him so often in the main DC comics
maybe this is just cuz im a big poision ivy fan but id really love to see her show up in swamp thing and have that also be a psuedo origin for her. Maybe shes investigating swampthing and thats how she ends up getting connected to the green.
please make a focus episode to talk about The Authority since that is gonna make the second movie of DCU, i think Superman Legacy gonna connnected and kinda build up what The Authority about
it really depends if he's even in the Blue Beetle movie We have no idea if he'll even appear in the movie or what his status is. If Jamie Reyes is the DCU's Blue Beetle then Ted might not be in this. Otherwise Blue Beetle in the Booster Gold show is a no brainer.
They could easily fit in Guy or Maxwell Lord into Booster Gold. If it's not Ted, of course. I can't see him working with Elongated Man. I'm pretty sure the last time they talked in comics was when Ralph was yelling at Booster for not warning him/caring to know about Identity Crisis.
I wish Paradise Lost would show Troia's New 52 retconned origin where she was made to kill Wonder Woman and it will be about Hippolyta or Nubia slowly discovering her origin. That would be epic.
Personally I think we actually could see Jason Todd Red Hood in The Brave and the Bold as some form of personal antagonist who blames Batman for what happens/hates him for not killing the Joker
Nando Nando! Captain Adam is GREAT because we should have been introduced to Major Force in Black Adam as the antagonist. Side door introduction to one of Atoms pastiches.
Jason Momoa should play both Aquaman and Lobo at the same time. He should also play an alternative Superman, and Batman, and Wonderwoman. Have one movie with a Momoa Justice League.
It’ll probably be Green Arrow who cameos in Lanterns b/c of his relation with Hal & it’s on Earth. Solomon Grundy maybe for C. Commandos as a villain of sorts ; use monsters to stop a monster. If C. Commandos needs a hero who could mesh well with them & their theme, there’s Metamorpho. Legion Of Superheroes for Booster b/c of his stolen Legionnaire gear. With Gunn’s fascination with team heroes & the obscure, wouldn’t be surprised if he introduces the Metal Men as another project. Really wish they did a good Static show cuz man that has so much potential. Same with The Question & his question askin powers
Zatanna has appeared in comics brave and bold I think. Constantine origin was with Swampy, but wasn't there Gods and Monsters animated already? Or was that the vampire batman one? Etrigan, Z, Deadman, and Constantine would fit. I am still holding out for Detective Chimp!
James Gunn is giving me a lot of hope as someone who loves comics but I feel like they are fumbling the bag on focusing on singular stories instead of copying marvels success. DC should have explored the singular stories so themes of the movies weren't all forced to be similar.
It would make sense to try a proper JL route like how marvel did with avengers, but like nando said why build up to a team up movie? Build the universe first
"copying marvel's success" is what killed the DCEU, because they tried to emulate Marvel we ended up with Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad JW's Justice League and a failed universe. the best DC movies come when they do their own things and focus on their strengths.
If Darkseid were to be introduced (personally hoping for Vandal Savage for the first major arc of the DCU) I’d like to see him introduced via Mister Miracle & Orion.
tbf Peacemaker wasn't a compelling or well-rounded character in the suicide squad. Waller could absolutely do that. She also has a lot more depth in the comics that could be explored.
With dc doing animation crossing over into live action I do wonder will they take a spider verse stance to the movies, having insanely good animation and doing different styles and that
Ted Kord co-stars in Blue Beetle. Guy Garden shows up in Green Lantern. Add Booster Gold and you're already halfway there to JLI movie or TV show. OR Introduce The Question in Brave And The Bold, Captain Atom in the monster cartoon thing. Pair them up with Ted Kord and Peacemaker... PAX AMERICANA!
I will be VERY surprised if Ollie doesn't show up in at least one episode of Lanterns.
Etrigan would be a really cool addition, would love to see him.
Oh, I’m SO down for that. Seeing how Ollie, Hal, and Jordan interact and fight crimes together sounds great.
I really think he's gonna be in the series. James Gunn said Lanterns "it's like True Dectetive" and the plot is gonna be "a terrestrial mystery". The way is more than paved.
Etrigan would make a great secondary antagonist for a Swamp Thing project imi
Insane how three characters in Legacy (Mr Terrific, Guy Gardener and Hawkgirl) were all predicted but only in the projects immediately before and after Legacy
A animated Teen Titans movie made with care and creativity that understands the potential of animation like Puss N Boots 2 or Spider-Verse would go so unbelievably hard!
A Teen Titans movie in general would be great
@@charlesgonzalez1406 definitely, i wouldn't be mad at all if it was live action. I just think there's a bit more potential in an animated version
@@suto5704 yeah that's fair, although I feel like it's easier to put characters in Live Action and transition them to animation rather than the reverse
As long as it is not Teen Titans Go to the Movies Part 2...
I would really love a teen titans movie in James Gunns New dcu rather a live action or a animated film
And I can definitely see the teen titans look cool in the animation of the spider verse and puss in boots 2
Yeah I do think it’s kind of a nobrainer getting the legion in BG, I mean they gotta explain where his flight ring and forcefield belt come from
Whose Corn Flakes did LSH piddle in that WB hasn't already adapted their superhero Hogwarts/Star Wars/Star Trek franchise??
People I hope show up: Nightwing, Sinestro, and Kilowog
You had me at nightwing 😂😂
I love vandal savage and yes we need more peacemaker
Vandal Savage would make a good Chapter One antagonist, but considering the MCU differences, I have a bit of doubt that they'll go with one unifying antagonist at the end of this initial plan.
@EdittZz espero que sea brainiac si se que es más bien un villano de superman pero darksied lo era también
Nubia is also Diana's twin it makes perfect sense for her to be the lead
@@faherty87 There’s a pretty deep bench that they never access. It same with their Mystical characters and their Western characters
Weatherman could honestly be a cool villain in the show because in the stormwatch comic he was kinda shady
It's so funny to me that several of these characters are already announced for Superman, which at time of writing is still almost a year away
Constantine definitely has sex appeal, this is slander
@@shuofsin ok fair enough i was wrong. He is pretty sexy. But will the masses see what we see???
@@suto5704 oh deffo
@Suto Constantine is sexy af but yeah zatana had legs of a goddesses God damn she would look so fine
Yeah Zatanna ned to appert in movie!
The Hawkman/Hawkgirl reincarnation story is one of my favorites in the intergalactic stories in DC I hope we get that in this version of DCU!
Since Booster is time traveller, I could see him meeting other heroes from different period in DC history, like Jonah Hex, Etrigan (who has being around since the middle age) or even Kamandi.
I thought of Jonah Hex and Waverider too for some reason even though Waverider is a super obscure character.
I just wanted to say I love your videos. I’ve been binge watching them recently and they’re amazingly put together. Keep it up!
Same!
Same, I was just re watching his Best of Thrones video and his one X-cellent scene video. God Oberyn was so much fun in GoT
Vendetti’s Hawkman run is so much fun! Glad someone else shares the same love for it
I love Etrigan in the DC animated movies and shows. Hes such a cool character. Hopefully they bring him into the new DCEU and do him justice
His poetry speaking it awesome
Espero red hood sería genial tener a un miembro de la batifamilia en un live action como villano
If I had a thought, it would be someone who might show to Damien what hus future would be like if he doesn't change. Would that be his grandfather?
Villain could still be deathstroke, imo it works quite well with what we've been told
@@timisunder1404 yes he does maybe working for Talia and Ras
Here's how I see DCU coming together;
1) If James Gunn is serious about creating a connective Universe for DC, he should introduce Booster Gold into Blue Beetle movie by revealing the Scarab came from Boosters future and Booster was hunting it down through time, I know that typically Khaji Da Scarab is from present time but having it come from the future would be unexpected plot-twist.
2) The Season finale of Creature Commandos could introduce Swamp Thing since he's a monster charatcer too, it's a perfect fit either way
3) I'd much rather see Vixen star alongside John in Lanterns movie before Hawkgirl cause it's too early to introduce her into the DCU plus you can't force John and Shieras relationship out of nowhere, it has to gradually be built up like in the cartoon.
Got guy gardener, mr terrific and hawkgirl!( Just wrong projects
I’m definitely hoping for Zatanna, Constantine, Bobo, and more in the magic department.
I would prefer that Zatanna is actually of Italian origin, Constantine sounds like he’s from Liverpool, etc.
love me a scouse
@@oscarkamala To me, his speech is part of his character, so not having it would be strange, imo
I wish JLD was announced instead of Creature Commandos honestly considering that they own all their IPs but let's see in the future, I hope there will be a JLD adaptation.
swamp thing might have constantine imo
Tuve la misma idea
Green Arrow needs to appear, most probably on Green Lanterns. Also, maybe Lobo in Superman? played by a certain Jaon Mamoa? Lol. Lobo is a good antagonist for the Man of Steel. He is not really a villain but can hold his own fighting Supes and would make a heck of a character.
I also think Constantine is getting made stat because James Gunn seems like the type of guy who 1) knows the stories of people meeting him in real life and, 2) wants to meet Constantine in real life
Nando called Mr. Terrific, Guy Gardner, Hawk Girl. Damn!
I agree
Doing Steel so quickly seems like it might be rehashing Superman & Lois a bit.
I feel like Star Sapphire would be a safer bet than Hawkgirl. Plus, Hawkgirl seems like a weird inclusion to me.
I think someone like Rip Hunter or even some of the Legion would make more sense, or even reintroducing Maxwell Lord as a sort of wheeler-and-dealer talent agent-type.
I hope we will see Zatanna and Etrigan too!
I'd love to See....
Zatanna
Ambush Bug
Detective Chimp
B'Wanna Beast
Plastic Man
Titans
Zatanna is more likely for Swamp Thing - I can imagine her showing up and taking ST to the House of Mystery - tying in Constantine etc. BUT we are definitely getting Etrigan wherever we get Constantine and I'm so excited to see him in the grand scheme of things.
Rumor is their JL movie will be an adapation of The New Frontier, with The Centre and all
Had been thinking about Brainiac as the big bad of Gods & Monsters since the reveal, it can tie up with Superman: Legacy, obviously Woman of Tomorrow (Cause he could destroyed Krypton like in Injustice) and the Lanterns can disciver that he is in Earth for some time, undercover
I’m Lanterns I could see the teasing Atrocitus with a little Dex-Star origin!
Vas a hacer videos de diseñando brave of the gold o woman of tommorrow?
My guess is that Martian Manhunter will make an appearance in Lanterns.
The lanterns vs manhunters arc was a huge arc that would definitely fit with James bigger DCU story
I really hope we get Nightwing in the Brave and the Bold.
My prediction is that Batman’s actually Dick Grayson in Brave and the Bold but there’s really no evidence to support it. Just think it would be cool.
@@thephony1651 that’s actually not a bad theory. Granted we don’t know much details except Damian is gonna be the Robin
@@wesstewart2677 True. It could also help to differentiate him from Battinson for people who might get confused
@@thephony1651 I think it will be cool if Damian finds his father Bruce which is Batman, only to find a different person in the cowl which is Dick because Dick is also finding Bruce. That would be cool, but I don't think they'll go with that route but let's see.
@@thephony1651 A live action kingdom come Batman/Bruce Wayne would be awesome too

No puedes usar a trigon no tienes unos teen titans y más importante no tienes una raven
Nando, it is Etrigan, not Entrigan
Leo Fong should play Lobo.
I really like this as an idea for a video. It's so different and fun.
My bet is that the brave and the coke franchise will be these stories:
1.Batman and son
2.Batman Black glove/ RIP
3.Dick Grayson batman and Robin
4.Batman in time
5.Batman incorporated
I swear to God I thought you were gonna say Damian's giant pet bat-monster Goliath at 13:35 (I'd probably see that more than Etrigan).
"I DO think there's a good chance that we'll see Dick"
👁️👄👁️
I expect Grifter to show up somewhere during Chapter 1 of the DCU...
Grifter is a cool character honestly I liked him in flashpoint and in his teamup comics
Omg, you have a Boostle figure? I want to see a close up so badly! Their bromance and friendship was my favourite thing about JLI.
I am really hoping to see Grifter in the authority movie, i never thought we will ever see Wildstorm characters and when they announced the movie, out of everyone i was more excited for a chance to see Grifter since they try to bring him so often in the main DC comics
12:56 cool phrasing bro
maybe this is just cuz im a big poision ivy fan but id really love to see her show up in swamp thing and have that also be a psuedo origin for her. Maybe shes investigating swampthing and thats how she ends up getting connected to the green.
please make a focus episode to talk about The Authority
since that is gonna make the second movie of DCU, i think Superman Legacy gonna connnected and kinda build up what The Authority about
What about Ted Kord for Booster Gold? They’re best friends
it really depends if he's even in the Blue Beetle movie
We have no idea if he'll even appear in the movie or what his status is.
I just want to see Red Hood in a live action movie atleast once in my life lol.
I'm hoping to see the Lanterns question Lobo as part of their investigation.
Grifter might actually be your best pick ngl, pretty spot on
I just want the Teen Titans. How have we not gotten a live action TT film yet, it’s one of DC’s biggest and most successful brands.
Build the universe first
"copying marvel's success" is what killed the DCEU, because they tried to emulate Marvel we ended up with Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad JW's Justice League and a failed universe.
the best DC movies come when they do their own things and focus on their strengths.
remember this is "the biggest story ever told" so this is one story with themes and ideas that interweave between the movies
If Darkseid were to be introduced (personally hoping for Vandal Savage for the first major arc of the DCU) I’d like to see him introduced via Mister Miracle & Orion.
Nope it’s the Centre.
tbf Peacemaker wasn't a compelling or well-rounded character in the suicide squad. Waller could absolutely do that. She also has a lot more depth in the comics that could be explored.
will mostly nitpicking have an episode dedicated to the DC slate or is it interwoven into the recent twilight episodes?
Anyone know what the Cult Pop Podcast is? I can't find it anywhere online.
I think that Paradise Lost will be the origin of Wonder Woman's weapons.
My only exposure to grifter was in the flashpoint movie where he is just red hood with a napkin for a mask. Seems fun i guess
LOL
Zatanna feels like a chapter 2 character but be cool seeing her here.
As long as Dua Lipa or Eiza Zatanna, let’s run it
Hi! nando can you make a fancast of your justice league 🙂🙂 and teen titans
OR
Introduce The Question in Brave And The Bold, Captain Atom in the monster cartoon thing. Pair them up with Ted Kord and Peacemaker... PAX AMERICANA!
I was waiting for you to say Martian manhunter in Superman or supergirl or lanterns
