That’s good to know, I have so many NBA Draft redemption cards from the mid 90’s that I never mailed in. If I ever find them in my storage, I’ll send them in. If I find my redemption cards, should I send them one in its own envelope or just a stack of them in an envelope? I also remember that you were supposed to pay shipping & handling for your redemption cards, pretty much way I never redeemed as a kid because I didn’t have stamps, envelopes, and money for all the shipping & handling, do you still have to do that?
This is so awesome. I sent an email to topps before even sending them these redemptions. The representative sent an email back that said sorry there is nothing we can do for you. After seeing this I will send them to them and see what they send me.
I have 91' card A and B i thought about sending them in after going through my cards after years !! But they look great and probably keep them since ive had them soooo long. 🤔
Oh man I have no idea. I looked up what the card had sold for on eBay to make sure I wasn’t giving away something valuable. I also made peace with never hearing anything back. If you like it I would hold onto it.
I'm pretty sure I have one or two of those in my collection. I live in Japan so I'll have to get my parents to check my collection back home in Canada.
Thanks for the video I’ve got one of those I was wondering what to do with also I’m interested in the Ashcraft auto it’s a pc and I umpired graham from the age of 14-18 here in Huntsville
Nice trade. Back in the day people would say someone was dead so I reported on YT and they were not dead.. You would not believe how many times HOF Bobby Doerr died.
This seems so hard to believe after 30 years expired promo still works? The reason I say this: It's a far fetched idea and remember people will do anything to get more subs & likes, I did click on like but, remember the old saying: If it seems to good to be true, then it is exactly that? I will not be sending in my old redemption to Topps for 2 reasons: 1). If they send you back 1 auto and this guy got 2 autos and a relic, plus 2 packs of free cards. Have you ever wondered that card sent in to Topps was probably worth at least 20 times more than what Topps sent back? They are not going to lose and waste thier time by sending you back cards that are worth that much? 2). The Topps company was looking for this card because it was a rare card with higher end value than what the marketed was listed as, plus Topps was wanting that card back in thier hands to keep collectors from profiting from the card, think about that? I don't doubt this instance but, just making facts aware because some will get burned. I want you to imagine the card he sent in was may-be worth $ 2,900.00 dollars, Topps sends him back 2 autos, a relic and 2 packs of cards even though the redemption expired 30 years ago. I would say they sent him back about $ 100.00 dollars value of cards which much more than 35 dollars but, do you really believe Topps lost $ 65.00 dollars in this transaction? You have to realize real collectors like myself put in lots of $$$ into Topps from buying thier products which are still higher priced? I'm 63 years old and been doing this since I was 6 years old, I have older T206 Tobacco cards, cards by Topps from the early 1900's and newer cards from 2024 and all in between them years. The only thing I'm saying is don't beleive everything? There is a catch to everything, I dont know what it was but, something is not being told? The Topps company gave him a great replacement: 2 autos, a relic and 2 packs of cards.
So im guessing that it depends on the representative who receives the letter and redemption. If they feel that you are worthy enough, then you may get something in return. I sent an email and the representative pretty much said if it is expired over a year then it cannot be redeemed. They did not say anything that showed they will figure something out in exchange for the redemption.
Regardless of the expiration date.. I always send them in and 95% of the time that have always sent cards back in return

Hey Hey! Thanks for sharing the love! Happy collecting! Might need to look for some redemptions might work for us!
This is so awesome. I sent an email to topps before even sending them these redemptions. The representative sent an email back that said sorry there is nothing we can do for you. After seeing this I will send them to them and see what they send me.
Pretty cool of topps to do that. I have a few redemption cards. I might just have to send one in and see what happens. Thanks for video.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate you.
the card you sent in is worth more than all that junk
just a heads up, its a different jacoby jones from football lol
Totally! Was thinking of the Texan but might not have said it.
lol bro got so confused when he said that lol ran to google immediately to see how he died before I realized he was talkin about the other one lol
I got that exact reception card when I was a kid I sent it in had the AB set in a binder.
How is it possible that you had the exact redemption card when you were a kid? How did the Hobby PhD get ahold of the exact redemption? Doesnt add up.
I found an old Topps basketball draft pick redemption card. I think I am going to send it in after seeing this!
I have 91' card A and B i thought about sending them in after going through my cards after years !! But they look great and probably keep them since ive had them soooo long. 🤔
If you like them that’s all that matters.
Nice. Great decision, plus, resale value on those in total probably close to $20 bucks so you definitely made the better choice money wise.
Wow! Pretty cool. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Topps is awesome! Nice packs.
I have several of those redemptions. Should send them in. Thanks....
I am going to start sending mine in, thanks!!!!!!!
Did you fill out the information on the back of the topps black gold card before sending it in to topps?
Also, when you sent it to Topps, did you fill out the online form or did you just send it to the address as is?
Just sent it in with a hope and a prayer
Can’t be disappointed with that!
So I have a upper deck draft card that ended up being for Shaq. Do you think upper deck would do the same? Any recommendations?
Oh man I have no idea. I looked up what the card had sold for on eBay to make sure I wasn’t giving away something valuable. I also made peace with never hearing anything back. If you like it I would hold onto it.
Nice I'm definitely sending my hockey one in
Did you mail them a check for the amount they requested on the back? I have one and thought about sending off, it would be for my son
I sent no money. Only thing I paid for was the stamp.
@@thehobbyphd thanks for this!
Good on Topps for doing that!
Dude that is totally awesome!!!! Super cool of Topps! Autos and shiny cards from the pack too!!! Super cool!!! I’m subbing you up too!!! Thanks man!!!
Thanks for the sub!
Nice to see Topps send you this awesome congrats
I'm pretty sure I have one or two of those in my collection. I live in Japan so I'll have to get my parents to check my collection back home in Canada.
Topps is awesome when it comes to redemptions.....new or expired.
They’ve really turned it around - I also love the new 10 year redemption window.
I think I still have that redemption. Just like it. I have to find it
Wish I kept my Chance Adams auto redemption to do this instead of redeeming it out of spite. "Topps has to pay postage to send this."
I have one or two of those still pretty cool of them to send you some cool stuff might have to try my luck
I pulled one of these back in the day and topps screwed me by just spending me a stupid letter
Thanks for the video I’ve got one of those I was wondering what to do with also I’m interested in the Ashcraft auto it’s a pc and I umpired graham from the age of 14-18 here in Huntsville
Which huntsville?
@ Alabama
Was hoping it was Texas, I drive through there all the time. Yea send me an email: thehobbyphd@gmail.com
Nice trade. Back in the day people would say someone was dead so I reported on YT and they were not dead.. You would not believe how many times HOF Bobby Doerr died.
The internet is very helpful and constructive in these types of scenarios lol.
I opened a factory sealed set that included 10 black/gold cards and one was the unredeemed A/B/C/D group card. Auctioned on eBay for $265.
That’s awesome! When was this?
Yea it sold on ebay but that card was graded a PSA 10.. makes a huge difference from raw ungraded
@@thehobbyphd I had just started doing eBay, I believe summer-fall of 2022
@@breakingchris6889 nope this one was raw
@@InvisibleKnight7 wrong
wrong jacoby jones, the one who died was in the NFL
Yes I think I said Texans. But that’s who I was thinking about.
I have one of those same ones from 94 Series 1 I’m going to send for Group B
I kept thinking Ben Shapiro was talking.
I wouldn't of sent that card in. An A/B winner card is rare. The cards Topps sent you are more valuable than the cards on the redemption card.
Wander Franco. Gross.
Awesome reaction!
Like that graham ashcraft auto as a reds collector. And i Know a cubs collector who would like that rizzo. Do a trade?
Yea that’d be great! Email me.
I know it was a mistake but u might want to edit out the error. Just might be unnecessarily harmful for family, friends or fans.
Hey that's a good call.
Topps did you decent.
That the wrong JaCoby Jones who passed away.. the player in the NFL is the jones who passed away
That’s who I was thinking of. I could have sworn I said Texans but guess only in my head lol.
that’s crazy! lol
Wow, that's a hook up

You must be fun at parties.
They gave you the garbage, but that's cool they sent you something.
From between the couch cushions lol! But yea was more fun than selling it on eBay for like $5 after fees or whatever it was.
i sent in a printing damaged
/150. w/ letter i got nothing,…
