@@JumpRopeDudes Hello sir. Interesting channel. Regarding Crossrope. I'm 5.8 & quite slim & I want to Train Muay Thai. I already have the Light Money Rope for speed purposes. I'm interested in the Crossrope with so many good Reviews. I was wondering about the get strong set for Muay Thai. What's your opinion sir? Thank you for your Time.
Exactly. I have a beater clone in my truck for impromptu workout . A dozen different cheapies I bought but my light and heavy crossrope setups are my go to for indoors
Yes, we all NEED a Crossrope. I finally got one and it got me addicted to skipping. The other jump ropes don't come close to being as fun after I've tried the Crossrope.
I've been using crossropes sinceJRD was dropping videos from rooftops in south america. I love them. For me it simply comes down to skipping being the core of my fitness routine. If I'm feeling "ugh" I still commit to jumping a bit. The majority of time that commitment to jump is enough that I perk up want to finish my full workout. Having a quality, and adaptable, tool like crossropes is just too valuable to say they aren't worth the investment in my mind. The half lb rope is just amazing. It can do everything. My old gen 1 handles are still rocking and see use a few days a week with my old heavy ropes. Crossropes were critical tools for my 6ft frame dropping from soft but strong 225 to an athletic, lean, and maintainable 178lb. Look, put simply. I love jumping and crossropes. As a 40+ year old guy jumping combined with calisthenics and some basic flxibility work has returned at least a decade of dwindling mobility, agility, balance, and athleticism.
I just recently purchased the Amp set to help me in losing weight and future maintenance to maintain that lose. I didn’t originally know that the inventor & CEO of Crossrope was a former military veteran before my purchase. Because of his former service, I would think he would offer military discounts for the Amp monthly or yearly service to other military personnel or veterans. Yes, I agree that Crossrope is a quality product and will continue to use and support it. I’m a 32+ year military veteran and just turned 72 on December 31st! 🇺🇸👍
I can attest that Crossropes bring a skipping workout to another level! Been using them for 4-5 years now and it’s always helped me have a solid workout over a standard wired rope. AMP has heightened that and motivates me to workout even more and track those metrics. Cheers for the great videos, Dan!
Crossrope was great but I noticed mine started to rust around the handle where it clips to the cable. It's never been brought outside, only from my own sweat which I was pretty disappointed about. EDIT: Reached out to crossrope about warranty and it's covered.
My orange gen 1 cross rope is still used multiple times a week. I always use it with a 3x5 out door mat i keep rolled up by my back door so its stayed nice. I think its the 1lb rope. I don't do anything fancy and its ruined me for other ropes... i just use this one... but i get my reps in after my workout and/or before my walking and its all i need. Thankful for JRD...will be 57 this year and hopefully still jumping rope to 90 and beyond, lol.
I love my CrossRopes. Thank you for introducing them to me a few years back. (Found you during C*v#d). Jump Rope Dudes and CrossRope have changed my life!❤ (And Phoenix Nation and La Jumpeuse and Tori Boggs and Lauren Jumps too)❤... I understand they're pricey, but I consider them as an investment (for my physical and my mental health). They're the only equipment (besides shoes) I feel like I need!..... Long time subscriber, first time commenting!... DO THE THING!😊❤
I purchased an AMP set and it's hands down, the best money I've spent in a long time! Also, coming across your channel has been a life changing experience for me! I appreciate all that you folks do and I've been recommending your channel and the Crossrope app and products to a lot of my friends! Keep rocking! \m/
Well stated, Dan! Been a @crossropes addict for 5+ years now. Got hooked after watching some of your early Zen Dude videos when I first started my journey into to jump ropes. Haven't looked back since, and Crossrope workouts are an integral part of my daily fitness routine. Thankful for all that Dave and his team has done to elevate the system - especially bringing AMP to market last year. What a game changer!
I too thought any rope will do but today i came across Declan's interview with you and Brendon. Definitely changed my mind. Gonna get crossrope in two months. Im in a 100 lbs weight loss journey. #do_the_thing.
First i wanna say im a big supporter of the product. I just added the ultra heavy set and also have been using amp handles. My complaint is through the app the workouts are not near as consistent or challenging as they use to be. Back around 2020 there use to be maybe 8 different kinds of tricks mixed with body weight exercises. It seems like they keep adding more tricks for no real reason and more exercise movements that are unnecessary. I just wish it went back to challenging workouts mixed with pushups squats and some variations of those
Crossropes rock, no doubt about it!!! I started out with a $10 vinyl "speed rope" that I got from the local sporting goods store - *big mistake!* After a couple weeks I bought the "Get Lean" Crossrope set and life was good again. Quality equipment makes all the difference in the world. My goal for 2024 is 1MJ (1 Mega Jump = 1,000,000 jumps) with the 3/4 pound Crossrope. That would be *no fun* with lesser equipment.
I have just changed my Everjump (German) rope to Crossrope. What I do not like in the crossrope's ropes comparing to Everjump's is that you cannot adjust the rope's length. Everjump has a special adapters with Trex bolts, watch a video on TH-cam how to trim an Everjump rope. As you polish your skill while skipping a rope you want your rope to be as short as possible. Nowadays I feel comfortable when my hands close to my heaps. With the Crossrope I cannot jump properly since I have to keep my hands as wide as I can to compensate the hits the rope making against floor. Each time it hits the rope stars reverberating. It really annoys me. Overall, the community, the crossrope's app, its widget for apple watches, the responsiveness of rope (the amount of rotations it makes until it becomes still) - is absolutely insane and I like how David? (the founder) brings people together. The love he has to his product shares with other people. I wanted to buy crossrope initially but it took me more than a year to understand that I had made a mistake buying Everjump.
You don’t need a Crossrope (any jump rope works as long as you can do the workouts with them), but I have to admit that I use Crossropes more than any other jump rope I ever bought. They just feel more solid to me compared to my other (cheaper) ropes
I have the Crossrope and I suggest you buy something more substantial in the above $30 to$50 range . Do not get the $10 ropes. You need the rope to have some weight to it to avoid tangling when skipping.
I wasted a llot of money trying to find a cheaper alternative to Crossrope, but eventually i caved and am so glad i did. The money i soebt on the alternatives was a complete waste when i compared the quality - and the ergonomics of the handles in particular. Theyre THE best handles on any of the 7 different ropes i tried. And the clip system is 100% better (ease and speed of use) than the nearest alternative. Thankfully ive found them to be so sturdy that i dont feel annoyed at my long journey to get here, just glad that i am.
I live in Brazil and tried several ropes before using Crossrope. The difference is enormous. I have no doubt that Crossrope is the best rope in the world. I had to pay a lot in taxes to import Crossrope, and it was worth every penny.
Have been using 2 different jumpropes before having enough for a jrd one. With these I can do all tricks which was waaay more difficult with them others. The other two also worn out.
i'm round 80 pounds overweight atm. i stopped running and opted for longer walks. skipping would rekt my body. when i'm in a healthy weight, i'd start jump roping again. i have a weighted one!
They are definitely at the top of the chain. I’ve tried other ropes and there’s no comparison. Expensive but buy once, buy right. I just wish they would get different color ropes and handles. Come on Crossrope. The mint green is tired. This isn’t 1984. Give me a black or red. I’d buy extra just to switch it up.
Still salty on Crossrope, I bought the handles a 1 pound rope and a 1/4 pound rope years ago, the speed rope fell apart because of my intensity level. I called the company for a replacement, they changed their rope style so no replacements available. They offered me a discount on a rope. But when you pay $80 for a rope, you don't expect it to snap. Didn't use a mat though. So the handles I have are outdated and can't be used with the new cables.
I have all 4 Crossrope since 2020 but I use it with a ticker Matt. They look like new and I’m super happy. Try to jump on a Matt and you’ll be having them for years
I love my crossropes! Of course, I made sure to use a mat. Had mine since 2019, and the handles are wearing out just a tad bit (not to the point I can’t use at all). I’d suggest using a mat for your ropes (and to cushion your knees!)
I use a 1/4 and 1/2 pound Crossrope. While I do not use a mat they get worn down a decent amount, I do not mind. You can't expect ropes to last forever. Would you ever use a weighted vest or backpack while you jump rope?
I first began with the crossropes, including both lean and strong sets. Don't get me wrong. They're fine. Especially the 1/2 pounds rope. However, I'm not a fan of mechanical handles. The crossropes handles specifically getting rusty overtime and then you'll need dw40. My biggest gripe with Crossropes is their overpricing. They're just too expensive for PVC ropes. Props to Crossrope quality customer service though. Although I bought into the crossropes system, I switched over to Elite SRS beaded ropes and I don't even use my Crossropes anymore. I love their 2 inch bead version as it provides a little more weight. Non mechanical handles work sooooo much better for me. I've had them now for 3 years and no issues at all. And they're not expensive. I would recommend Elite SRS Beaded ropes to anyone over Crossropes. I say use you should stick to the rope that benefits you most and that you enjoy using. With that said, I recommend Elite SRS. And I have no allegence to them. Thanks for the vid.
I skip as a Warmup, and between sets; and it just feels good to skip with a rope. Leaning out is important too. Still using old leather rope with wooden handles.
the best jump rope in the market hands down, i been using this ropes for over 6/7 years, I already broke in half the green one after maybe 5 years hahaha, i am in my second rope but the handle is still amazing. Loving the product, i think i will be buying new ones this year hahah
Tonight I worked out with you with the CR rope that I bought in the last 2 months: power starter set (1\2lb with power handle), 2lb blue rope (not the classic black one), and the 3lb rope). I alternate workouts with cr and rush athletics, so that I have more lasting rope. Crossrope is excellent For getting on shape, even thought they’re pricy, and I’m thinking about buying ultra heavy rope or even just the 5lb one. Would you recommend me it?
The 5 lb is a beast but I love it. The way it works the shoulders, back, upper body, it's a killer workout 🔥. There's a money back guarantee if you get it and have buyers remorse lol
I used to like my crossrope, until I started trying to learn double under crossovers. If I mess up by stepping on the rope, it sometimes smacks my hand so hard and hurts so bad that I just want to burn the stupid thing and never jump rope ever again. Biggest waste of money ever, I just use my cheap speed and beaded ropes
My advice. Buy a Crossrope ! Made a world of difference learning to skip imo. You can feel the weight moving around you and get your timing synch'd to the rope. Awesome workout with the different weighted ropes !
In the end its just a jump rope like any other out there sure its more durable and better quality but it does the same thing like a cheap no name brand would do. I have used 100s and 100s of ropes for 14 years and since i am consistent most dont last for more than three months. I have spent 100s of $$$ on ropes even cheap ones and for me as long as a rope has some weight to it or specifically weighted ropes those will last longer. I have used cross ropes no real difference its all really marketing like any other company who wants to be a monopoly in the fitness market. For me when it comes to these two types Speed ropes i use: Buddy Lees ropes they are smooth and very fast and a great way to learn tricks. Weighted ropes i use: Cross rope they are durable and strong and they will with consistency give you a hell of a workout.
Thanks for the video man, I’m 6’5 I notice the jump ropes are too light for my height and they won’t swing well, I’m gonna grab one of these. They look smooth, I’m pretty tired of jumping rope with bad ropes
I dislike the green color and the fact they aren’t adjustable in addition to the high price. I’ve seen folks tie knots in them to get sizing right. Pretty much *everyone* making vids about these ropes has some kind of sponsorship with them, too. I will try one eventually as I am curious, but I’ve been very happy with beaded ropes and adjustable ropes from Elite jumps. There are a ton of excellent /professional jump ropers on TH-cam that don’t use these ropes. Huge fan of Dan and Jump Rope Dudes, regardless.
A pushup works complete muscle group. Well spoken when getting free, I've boxed and used boxing type ropes I still use today, and customer service has been misleading cost me all my 40 workouts, no longer visible because of their help
Hi JRD, thx for all the videos you make, the motivation is on point. 👏🏼👌🏼 I have a question. I’m not an expert on jump rope but not a beginner either (I jump rope for boxing since years - basic skills). I used to skip with classic ropes with heavy handles and light pvc or metal with vinyl but not weighted ones. I have pretty good form and rhythm with arms close to body. I just bought the lean set from Crossrope and the material feels really good quality. I tried the 1/4 lb rope and I can’t do more than 3-4 jumps without tripping. It’s like my rhythm is off and the swings are like slower than I’m used to. I really feel like a beginner again with this new rope, is it normal to have been able to jump rope like 3-5min straight without tripping and now not being able to jump more than 3-4 jumps in a row?
I recently went down to a large and found I have more control over my rope. use the sizing guide and try a size up or down if you're feeling like it's not a good fit
I’d love to see a video about the jump rope mats. I see you guys jump on tennis courts and stuff. I’d love to see which surfaces are the best and worst for a cross rope and how well a cross rope does on each surface? Do you already have a video like that? Let me know! I’m a new subscriber, love the videos
Bruh, on the other hand, if you've been able to teach yourself to do hard tricks using very cheap and shitty ropes, you'll be literally flying when you decide to move on to a high quality skipping rope. Also I think that the more advanced you are the better equipment you will need, not the other way around. Beginners can use the cheapest ropes available and still make a ton of progress in a matter of weeks. And maybe that's all they will ever need - just a few jump variations that can be done with anything that resembles a rope.
I don't doubt your intentions and non-bullshitness but I wonder how many decent ropes have you used over prolonged periods of time, because there is a lot of cheaper stuff (at 20-30$/rope) that will also last you years unless you keep hitting it against concrete. Personally, I see Crossrope as the equivalent of Apple in tech - you're getting very high/highest quality, but you're also paying 2-3x more compared to what you'd pay for the next best thing (that would maybe get you 80% of the features). Even their mats and bags are in the 50-150$ range... The AMP app would be the only reason I'd go with them since apps like this really deliver for the reasons you already mentioned, but there ain't no way I'd pay 100$/year on top of a 200-300$ of equipment lol. Not mentioning it's a closed ecosystem that requires you to have compatible handles to work in the first place (very similar to what Apple does).
i like that you tell it like it is...i hate that fuckin phrase..but its true.i like the crossropes..they are great..but i hate that fuckin skinny little fucker green one..i know its that it has no real wt and im not experienced enough yet..the white 1/2 pounder is working for me and in time i will get better on the greenie winnie..thanx for all the good advice..but if you dont get off your ass ..it all for not..
Before I get into the negatives let me say that I own 4 Crossropes. The get lean set, plus 2 of their speed ropes. How come you never talk about or review their speed ropes? It's like they don't exist. Anyways, I love my crossrope speed ropes. Now for the negatives. Crossropes only come in 6 inch increments, which means I have to tie knots to get the sizing right. They should be offered in 2 inch increments! If spending $100 plus dollars on ropes you shouldn't have to tie a knot in them. Crossrope is saving money on inventory at the expense of the customer, plain and simple. OK, that's just the way it is, so end of that gripe! I also think the get lean handles are kind of clunky feeling and sounding. They rotate OK, but the clip on system is just too bulky and clunky feeling. Don't know how else to describe it. I own about 35 jump ropes, ans crossrope is my second favorite. RXSG originals are my favorites. They come in 2 inch increments, have a very smooth direct handle connection, and are cheaper than crossropes! But to each his own, just keep on jumping!
I am sooooo disappointed: it charged my card without letting me enter the discount code. Then asked if I wanted to cancel the order, to which I answered “yes,” given that I wanted to figure out how to submit the “SUMMER20” discount code. But it said I they could t process my request. Just another poorly designed, poorly thought out, customer disregarding online experience that left me bitter and angry. I thought this company looked truly different.

yeah, but that monthy app subscription killed my interest in it

I did a lot of road biking when I was younger and I was told it’s not the machine, it’s the motor.
I have the Crossrope and I suggest you buy something more substantial in the above $30 to$50 range . Do not get the $10 ropes. You need the rope to have some weight to it to avoid tangling when skipping.

For learning, yes. Without the weighted rope from Crossrope, I would not have been able to learn how to jump rope in the first place.
weighted ropes help so many beginners learn how to skip!
People learned how to jump ropes loong before crossrope was invented 😂

the best jump rope in the market hands down, i been using this ropes for over 6/7 years, I already broke in half the green one after maybe 5 years hahaha, i am in my second rope but the handle is still amazing.
Loving the product, i think i will be buying new ones this year hahah
You're right, nothing compares to how durable they are, and fun to work with.
@@JumpRopeDudes they really are, and one other thing is that I bought them when I was living in Argentina, they came after one week, that's impressive
I just got mines, pretty difficult to use but I do feel the difference compared to a normal jump rope
You'll be obsessed very soon, you got this!
Thanks for sharing and I agree 💯
Love the straight up honesty
thanks
I love them, a must get
Congratulations on the channel." !!
I bought my first crossrope should be here in a few days I can’t wait.
woohoo, do the thing! 💪⚡️
For me when it comes to these two types
Speed ropes i use: Buddy Lees ropes they are smooth and very fast and a great way to learn tricks.
BUT YO! Crossrope has a beaded rope and it’s awesome (tricks & releases). Best grip on any beaded rope on the market.
Love my crossropes best ropes I invested into
A pushup works complete muscle group. Well spoken when getting free, I've boxed and used boxing type ropes I still use today, and customer service has been misleading cost me all my 40 workouts, no longer visible because of their help
Hi JRD, thx for all the videos you make, the motivation is on point. 👏🏼👌🏼
I have a question.
Thanks for sharing, Can this rope withstand low temperatures?
Yes, absolutely
Yaas! “Work Smarter, Not Harder”
💯
In my opinion and experience I think the beaded rope is the best rope to start out with.
I mainly got in shape due to JRD, yet knowing the benefits of Cross ropes was a bonus. Love the cap #dtt
🙏🏽
You could also mention a ropless crossrope :)
lol, the nunchucks?
Weren’t u quoting your channel months ago or was that a click bait title?
How do you choose the right size thats where i find it a bit tricky?
I recently went down to a large and found I have more control over my rope. use the sizing guide and try a size up or down if you're feeling like it's not a good fit
I’d love to see a video about the jump rope mats. I see you guys jump on tennis courts and stuff. I’d love to see which surfaces are the best and worst for a cross rope and how well a cross rope does on each surface?
Do you already have a video like that? Let me know!
I’m a new subscriber, love the videos
Thanks for the sub and the great idea! I have a video about the jump rope mat th-cam.com/video/Sy5G_03spqw/w-d-xo.html
I’ll also make sure to use your code so you get commission
Sir how to download the app
in google play or the app store. or visit www.jumpropedudes.tv
If I'm 5.7, what size should I take?
medium
I need it, i have it, and I'm never going back.
Same 💪🏻
Do the thing
every. single. day.
Crossrope is the best!
💯
He's handsome I subscribed.
You don’t NEED a Crossrope. But once you get it, you’ll never WANT another brand.
well said 👏🏼
Would definitely accept one of your used ropes. 😅
haha!
not gonna lie, need to buy some new ones now lol
Now's the time, the 20% off special is still going and that's the best discount you're going to find!
$5 rope would be a fiat punto
$200 crossrope would be a Ferrari
I collect Cross Rope like handbags 😂
lol same
Don’t burn that bridge
just purchased one last week…. don’t do this to me😂
you're gonna love it, it's the best jump rope available
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎🏴

Isn’t cross rope this guy’s company?
👍👍

I'm sorry to hear that - it sounds frustrating. Crossrope will take care of you just reach out to their customer service → crossrope.customerdesk.io/
Could you help me, please? Is it really durable for asphalt (concrete)?
Tragam uma loja ao Brasil.
