A. Move 1. 30 mins HIIT style workout 5-6x/week (increase metabolism) 2. BodyWeight Exercises 2-3x/week to build muscle (push, pull, lower body) 3. LISS cardio: Walking/BikingHiking/Surfing/Skating (burn additional calories) B. Eat 4. No Restrictive Diet, All the macros are important: Protein, Carbs, Fats 5. Fasting (Intermittent Fasting)/Calorie Control: stay consistently in a calorie range depending upon your fitness goals 6. Track Calories at First (Until you get a good judgement of your portions). Must for beginners 7. Cook your own meals C. Live 8. Sleep: 7-8 hours everyday 9. Drink 90-120oz water everyday 10. Alcohol is fine in moderation but will greatly slow your ability to lose fat and build muscle You are welcome!🙂
No it's even more simple than that. If you are over weight and want to lose weight. Don't jump rope if you don't like it or can. Walk, ride your bike, swim or whatever. The importen thing is to move. Do what you like and you know will get you out of the door. And eat less than you burn. It's that simple. I was 286 pounds and today im 187
Slow your eating, cut out the crap diet (fast food, processed), move your ass and challenge your muscles and heart 5x days/week and anyone will lose weight. GET OFF YOUR ASS.

Find something you like doing and try to make it part of your lifestyle. Quite calling it exercise. I dont go to any gym, you can body weight exercises ANYTIME.
This is awesome bro basically mastering the basics and keeping it simple. This is my first time seeing you on TH-cam and this is exactly what I needed to continue on my journey to get fit and healthy. Like you said there is so much information out here on TH-cam about the best diets and excerise and it only makes it harder for people starting. I've been so confused for so many years on whats the best thing to do and it has done nothing but make it harder for me to stay consistent. I'm truly grateful for you speaking truth and letting everyone know that mastering those basic steps will get you where you need to go. If more content creators pushed this rather than the best diet or best excerise I feel there would be more unity within the health and fitness industry rather than a division on everyone's opinion on what's best. The reason why fast food chains will never go away is because they know the health and fitness industry constantly feeds them customers simply off of confusion on what's good or not. If we kept it vary simple for everyone in the world we might actually make a change and eventually put fast food out of business but right now they are laughing at our failure to come together and keep it simple and like you said use common sense on our daily choices. Once again thank you brother and I will definitely be watching more of your content and try jump roping as well!!
I already understand the value of a good jump rope as of this morning. I bought a cheap one and it drove me crazy!! Do you recommend any better ones on Amazon or anywhere else that isn't crazy expensive balling on a budget right now?? Anything helps!!
I think making this all a part of my lifestyle is what I’ve been missing!! Been cutting sometimes but I’ll be so tired low on calories (also a petite girl so dont get to eat much), and I think what I’m missing to look how I want is to just move more… eat more, move more! Win-win!
I came across your TH-cam and I am a 56 year old and training up to get back into shape. This was an honest, simple and well informed TH-cam I have seen. My most difficult demon is motivation and time. But this will help me get focused and do extra training part from my martial arts training. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.😊
Thank you for your honesty and care. It is really simple but we get stressed and confused over all the conflicting info out there. Truly I have gotten fit after babies in the 90s BEFORE I knew about keto/vegan/long fasting, etc. It really can be done again. Love and peace ❤
you are just amazing about being so up front and real..even at the cost of your business. dude you got my business..just for the honest factor..straight up thanks
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm 63 now unfortunately haha.I am 188 cm tall and big build. I weighed 125kg !!! I am now 100 kg and look pretty decent. The advice you gave was spot on i started walking 5k in the morning and 5k in the evening EVERY DAY!!! I then started cycling and for the last 2 year's have done 120 to 150 kilometres a week and i jump rope 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Incorporating the skipping into the bike ride is great i do it on the beach front. Every word you said was right and it's so refreshing to hear someone whose not just giving you a load of bull !!! Keep up the good work. Thanks 😁
Nice video. Good timing for me because while I have increased the amount of exercise I do a lot, I really need to start working on the nutrition side of things.
Dude I follow your channel since a long time and I love each of your videos ! You are a full source of inspiration.Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your good vibes ! Take care man !
What a lot of sense this man speaks, the bit at the end about just making a start is so true,I am 75 now and have tried to be active all my life, being a carer for my wife for 21 years stopped me at that time, but now I play Table Tennis sometimes 3 times a week which keeps me light on my feet, about the right weight so like he says get something you like doing and have a go.
That's great advice, thanks! It's interesting to hear your perspective after a lifetime of being active, and now you're 75 and light on your feet?! AMAZING! Keep doing the thing! 💪🏻
This is honest and well done people… it’s very true. Do what he says stay disciplined and consistent. 7-9 months you’ll be a whole new person! Thanks for this great video brother!
I hope I lose weight I used to weight 230 6’0 an I lost weight from my old job to 185 from high intense warehouse work! But I became a corrections officer now I’m 216 😢 I wanna be back down to 190 it’s so hard to restart but it’s a journey good luck!
Even after 1 week of not drinking I started to feel very different. Taking a break from drinking has made me realize how little I need or want it now and I only stopped 3 weeks ago. 😂 Sleep is tricky not everyone can properly. The other parts are easy! Tracking cals is good for beginners. Great video thanks!
Yeeeeeeeeesssssss the alcohol is a killer when your trying I'm the very same I lost so much weight just by giving it up for 1 month, not many talk about this, but it makes a huge difference to your weight and mental health
@@steadybreeze1443 Thanks! I've lost 18lbs in 6 weeks now. Intermittent fasting 5 or more days a week. Gym plus disc golf (10km+ each time I go) and a pretty good diet have done wonders for me. I allow myself to have alcohol one day a week now max which has been life changing even after only 6 weeks! Yahoo
I really appreciate the detail you put into this. I never had someone who I related to with the relationship I have with food. I also realized I prefer not eating right when I wake up and having my black coffee or espresso shots. Awesome video man. 🤙
The whole idea is to be able to live a healthy life in a practical way. These 10 things are easy to follow. If you restrict yourself too much you will stop your progress. I have started doing some of these already. Brill video.
I love videos like this! I’m hypothyroid and have Hashimoto’s, so I’ve tried every diet fad out there. They were all too restrictive. Over the past month I started going back to the basics where I eat healthy of a little bit of everything and keep my calorie intake on point. I run and I do weights. I feel so much better already.
Before work, do a small 15 min workout that consist of 200 reps ( upper body, abs, legs). After work, do the larger work out of 400-700 reps and run for 30 mins right after.
I love everything about this video you’re spot on! My problem was I was eating out too much and working out hard without seeing results but when I cooked more sleep and more water 🎉
Thanks for that commentary Dan. 100% in agreement with your thoughts on fitness and wellness. Don't deprive yourselves of carbs it has a place in one's nutrition. Just monitor how much you're consuming while working to get fit.Taking the common sense approach you mentioned in this video is all you need really. Thanks.
Thank you so much. Finally someone that kept it 100!!! I really really appreciate this. I been on my journey for 9 months and been doing well. Thanks again and God bless!!
Yes!! This is one of the best (if not the best) advice on this subject. Thanks so much for sharing this accurate and straight to the point information. I also recently joined the JRD community for motivation, workout programs and valuable tips and advice. I'm so excited! Thanks for keeping us motivated and providing us with no BS fitness advice 💪🏽
Thanks man this is awesome! I can’t sleep 8 hours, I feel more tired for some reason and I’m dragging throughout the day. Is that normal? I find that 6 to 6.5 hours works best. For me.
I've heard this before. Each person is different, if your body is used to it and you feel like you're at your best with 6.5 then I'd say it works for you!
I’ve been intermittently fasting. I workout 3/4x a week and I make sure I do straight sit ups then other variations of ab work. I see my belly is shrinking already. If you lift weights and do not sweat then you are not challenging yourself. If you are still reading you will sweat with this killer compound movement after the 2nd set Guaranteed Get a barbell and weight that you can press overhead 10x- I use 25lbs plates and work my way up with nickels. Now-power clean-press up-lower weight on traps and perform a squat. Then press back up put it on the floor. That’s 1…….Do ten-I guarantee a sweat especially if you challenge yourself till failure
That's a killer compound movement, I'm gonna try it! I agree, if you're not sweating lifting weights you're not working hard enough - or you need a couple rounds of skipping in between to push up your heart rate.
So right mate! I really enjoyed your honesty and common sense. As omnivore mammals a varied diet and keep moving is the “normal “ for us humans. People that are running onto supplements are only trying to cut corners and don’t face reality
Agreed, I still take aminos and I'm not anti-supplements but there's no replacement for the basics! You said it-you can't cut corners when it comes to your health!
Thanks for the honesty. I get so distracted by the hype only to find myself frustrated with how I look naked. Keep doing right, because your integrity is needed!
EXCELLENT video. I’ve lost weight (7.5 kg) by doing all you mentioned. I feel like myself again, the energetic person that I’ve been all my life! There’s no secret just mindset shift, implementation, and enjoying what you are doing. It’s lifestyle ❤ So happy I’m finally the active person I’ve always dreamed of being 😍
When i was vegan for 6 months i was super healthy i whould jump rope and go for a run at night but i would sleep inly 4 hours and i was ready to go again fully recharge, no inflammation notnpain in the joints but i became iron deficit and got alopecia no doctor could help me out i foundbout by myself i need iron injection vitamins i didn't do my research but i just ate meat and whala alopecia gone, vegan never again.
Simplicity is genius..really powerful video bro. One key i would add is mindset, "what is my goal and why do i want it?" this will impact on consistency.
Just happened to find your channel. Thank you for being honest. I have been doing all of the things you have listed to feel better and you just reassured me I don't need all the extra crap I just need to be consistent. You gained a subscriber. Thank you again.
You just summed up my own entire personal philosophy in this short video. Keeping it simple! I may not be on your level but I agree with all of these tips. Live a clean and active life and your body will show it. Your mental state will be at its peak as well. Just found your channel.
Thank you thank you thank you! I am a masters endurance athlete and coach and finally found a fitness and nutrition related video on YT that didn't recommend fad diets. And you outline a sound protocol to long-term healthy living. I will share & recommend this to anyone who wants to listen. Sometimes just hearing it from me doesn't seem to be enough. (Because a person right in front of you no longer seems to carry as much weight as someone you've never met saying it in a video, right?). You are right, it is simple but it takes a bit of thought, working and cooking.
I'm 1 min and 57 seconds into the video and I very interested in hearing what you are about to say in the rest of this video. I'm on a mission to find a healthier lifestyle for my self including sleep, what kind of energy/nutrition I'm putting into my body, exersice and so on. Weight loss in itself is not a goal for me but by changing lifestyle I'm pretty sure I will loose some weight.
This is spot on, people keep asking me how I’m losing weight as if it’s some mystical secret that only a few know. This is basically what I tell them, a very short, condensed version.
Honest and true information very nicely presented. I will humbly add one experience regarding weight loss training, Whenever I feel " When will this session finish.?" While doing my workouts that ensures it's effectiveness in all factors of fitness.
1. Move / Jump Rope HIIT. 2. Body Weight Exercises, 3. Steady state cardio 4. Eat a non restricted diet ( he doesn't believe in science based diets). 5. Intermittent Fasting 6. Count calories. 7. Learn to cook 8. Sleep 7-8 hours a night 9. Drink 90 - 120 ounces of water a day 10. Moderate Alcohol I hope i saved you 22 minutes back of your life. Nothing like a young super fit surfer telling you how to be him.
Finally someone who makes sense. I have changed my diet and have been walking and stated my jump rope journey and I have lost twelve pounds in the last four months. Just to confirm I have not gone on a diet as I have never believed in them as ever one I know or have met who has been on a diet it always seems to be temporary and or is not sustainable. Like Dan says, just keep it simple
I've been pushing y body, and I actually do it, I just need to do it consistently to get to my goals, Thanks for the video my guy, I love your community and how they help us work hard and change lives

Thanks 😁
It’s never too late to take your health into your own hands. Well done Paula!!! You’ve lost 25kg and you’re 63 years young. That’s a big win!
Wow, thanks for sharing your story, thats amazing and well done!!! 👏🏼 Keep doing the thing!
Such good information. Saved this to a playlist, will watch this again 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice video. Good timing for me because while I have increased the amount of exercise I do a lot, I really need to start working on the nutrition side of things.
Perfect timing, you got this!
Thanks man! I has been reading a lot, but i think that is the necessary information. Thanks again 🙌🏼
glad it resonated 🙏🏽
Dude I follow your channel since a long time and I love each of your videos ! You are a full source of inspiration.Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your good vibes ! Take care man !
That means so much, thanks!! Keep doing the thing!
You're so welcome! Keep doing the thing!
I hope I lose weight I used to weight 230 6’0 an I lost weight from my old job to 185 from high intense warehouse work! But I became a corrections officer now I’m 216 😢 I wanna be back down to 190 it’s so hard to restart but it’s a journey good luck!
This is the best video I have seen in years cuts through the rubbish and helps you focus.. great job
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏽
Glad its helped. Keep doing the thing
Yeeeeeeeeesssssss the alcohol is a killer when your trying I'm the very same I lost so much weight just by giving it up for 1 month, not many talk about this, but it makes a huge difference to your weight and mental health
Off the booze 2016
Best things ever
Do it go clean
@@steadybreeze1443 Thanks! I've lost 18lbs in 6 weeks now. Intermittent fasting 5 or more days a week. Gym plus disc golf (10km+ each time I go) and a pretty good diet have done wonders for me. I allow myself to have alcohol one day a week now max which has been life changing even after only 6 weeks! Yahoo
Best advice i have ever heard on internet. Thank you. Keep it up
Thanks! I plan on it! 💪🏻⚡️
I really appreciate the detail you put into this. I never had someone who I related to with the relationship I have with food. I also realized I prefer not eating right when I wake up and having my black coffee or espresso shots. Awesome video man. 🤙
Glad you enjoyed it! Keep doing the thing!
That's what I like to hear! Keep doing the thing!
Before work, do a small 15 min workout that consist of 200 reps ( upper body, abs, legs). After work, do the larger work out of 400-700 reps and run for 30 mins right after.
💪🏻
I love everything about this video you’re spot on! My problem was I was eating out too much and working out hard without seeing results but when I cooked more sleep and more water 🎉
Exactly! You got it!
I really like the clear n concise message. Practical message as well.
thank you
Thanks for that commentary Dan. 100% in agreement with your thoughts on fitness and wellness. Don't deprive yourselves of carbs it has a place in one's nutrition. Just monitor how much you're consuming while working to get fit.Taking the common sense approach you mentioned in this video is all you need really. Thanks.
You got it! and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much. Finally someone that kept it 100!!! I really really appreciate this. I been on my journey for 9 months and been doing well. Thanks again and God bless!!
You're welcome, i'm glad this resonated with you. Keep doing the thing 💪🏻
I'm so glad you appreciate it! I really pride myself on no bs and keeping it real, I'm glad it translates! Keep doing the thing!!
this is one of the most authentic fitness channels
thanks for keeping it real 💯
I appreciate that, thanks for the support 🙏🏽
Thanks man this is awesome! I can’t sleep 8 hours, I feel more tired for some reason and I’m dragging throughout the day. Is that normal? I find that 6 to 6.5 hours works best. For me.
I've heard this before. Each person is different, if your body is used to it and you feel like you're at your best with 6.5 then I'd say it works for you!
I like the basics - thanks.
I’ve been intermittently fasting. I workout 3/4x a week and I make sure I do straight sit ups then other variations of ab work. I see my belly is shrinking already. If you lift weights and do not sweat then you are not challenging yourself. If you are still reading you will sweat with this killer compound movement after the 2nd set Guaranteed
Get a barbell and weight that you can press overhead 10x- I use 25lbs plates and work my way up with nickels.
Do the thing! I appreciate you keeping it 💯
So right mate!
Keep doing right, because your integrity is needed!
thank you
You should thank me for being here. I had to endure 5 seconds of a V Shred ad before watching.
🤣
😂😂😂😂
I'm soooo tired of seeing that guy!
It’s a joke V shred and he recommends burnXT TRUED IT GAVE MD HEART BUTN MY SON FEELS THE CAYENNE PEPPER 🌶️ HELPS BUTN FAT
EXCELLENT video. I’ve lost weight (7.5 kg) by doing all you mentioned. I feel like myself again, the energetic person that I’ve been all my life! There’s no secret just mindset shift, implementation, and enjoying what you are doing. It’s lifestyle ❤
So happy I’m finally the active person I’ve always dreamed of being 😍
that's awesome to hear. i'm so glad you found the lifestyle that is your authentic self 🙌
@@JumpRopeDudes Thank you and you rock! ✨

Thank you for this ❤
When i was vegan for 6 months i was super healthy i whould jump rope and go for a run at night but i would sleep inly 4 hours and i was ready to go again fully recharge, no inflammation notnpain in the joints but i became iron deficit and got alopecia no doctor could help me out i foundbout by myself i need iron injection vitamins i didn't do my research but i just ate meat and whala alopecia gone, vegan never again.
Simplicity is genius..really powerful video bro.
One key i would add is mindset, "what is my goal and why do i want it?" this will impact on consistency.
great addition!
Always a good sign when a dude on the internet says “I don’t give a shit what the science says” 😂😂😂
I thought that was funny too but he did end up clarifying himself.
This is the realest, straight to the point and most informative video on getting fit. Thank you very much
thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it
He’s not wrong but as soon as he said “I don’t care what the science says” hard L ✌️
Just happened to find your channel. Thank you for being honest. I have been doing all of the things you have listed to feel better and you just reassured me I don't need all the extra crap I just need to be consistent. You gained a subscriber. Thank you again.
Glad it resonated and welcome
My favorite to lose weight: tapeworm eggs! healthy and effective
you're hilarious 🤣
You just summed up my own entire personal philosophy in this short video.
Keeping it simple! I may not be on your level but I agree with all of these tips.
Live a clean and active life and your body will show it. Your mental state will be at its peak as well.
Just found your channel.
welcome, you came to the right place.

Thank you! ❤
Glad this resonated with you and thank you 🙏
@@JumpRopeDudes Maybe I'll try rope jumping in the offseason. DIfferent is good sometimes.
The honesty is appreciated, subscribed
Thanks for the support!
You got this! You don't have to be perfect, just don't give up. Hopefully the info in this video will help.
You got this!!! WE got this!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
What a great video thank you for the information.
Thanks for watching!
This is spot on, people keep asking me how I’m losing weight as if it’s some mystical secret that only a few know. This is basically what I tell them, a very short, condensed version.
Glad it resonated
Honest and true information very nicely presented. I will humbly add one experience regarding weight loss training, Whenever I feel " When will this session finish.?" While doing my workouts that ensures it's effectiveness in all factors of fitness.

Like Dan says, just keep it simple
thanks
I've been pushing y body, and I actually do it, I just need to do it consistently to get to my goals, Thanks for the video my guy, I love your community and how they help us work hard and change lives

Save it for later! It'll help your journey.
Thank you for dispelling the myth that you have to do overly complex stuff to lose weight. One thing that has helped me is to remember to put the fork down between bites when I’m eating. It makes me mindful enough to control my anxiety based overeating. Keep up the good work!
Thank you.. Very much.. This information is the most simplest, honest in whole package i ever get. Am searching a home work out for increasing an endurance, i guess jump rope so much fun. I will try it..
