Love these videos so much. Just started adding dead hangs to my routine the last few weeks as per your recommendation. Seriously digging them! Appreciate you greatly, Dan!
Thanks for the Dead Hangs recommendation. I personally feel like I should do more of those myself. Although my goal is spine decompression, since the spine can get too compressed from doing too many overhead pressing movements with weights. Which I have been doing a lot of outside of Jump Rope workouts.
@@tycannon384 yeah, I learned about spine compression/decompression via a former power lifter and trainer. He recommended alternating military press type exercises with pull up/chin up type exercise for that
I know you're not a big lifter now, but can you make a video on how you would combine lifting and jump rope? I'm barbell lifting 3 days a week and just got a Crossrope AMP set, looking to implement it intelligently into my program.
Sure I’ll add it to our content list, we’ve made other videos abt lifting and jump rope but never one where I explain how to incorporate the two together
Love the videos. I am skipping, boxing and lifting weights most days. Alternating from day to day. I eat clean and count calories Monday - Friday . I have lost a lot of weight and am in pretty good shape. The weekend I eat junk food and have too many calories. You have mentioned that you did this in the past. I think this is what is letting me down, how did you stop the weekend cheat days? I train so hard all week I feel like I need a reward on the weekends (I guess this is why I do the cheat days). I guess it is a simple fix just don’t do it but that doesn’t seem that realistic. Any advice you have would be appreciated.
I really like your videos, as a soon to be 60 year old who only started jumping rope last year they are really helpful. Just watched your video on ankle weights really good. Have you ever tried jumping rope with a scuba weight belt, nothing to heavy, maybe 4lbs or so. as I already have the equipment I am willing to give it a go. Once again thanks for all your help. :-)
Im new to jump rope. Im only starting off with ten minutes a day. Today is day two of 10 minutes. Got in 427 skips in that time. Its not much. I mess up, a lot. I have a rope mat coming in this week so hopefully when I get that i wont mess up as much.
Hey Dan @JumpRopeDudes! Have a question dealing with how do you balance your workout routine and filming and editing the videos as well throughout the days of the week? I am in the process of doing it myself with jump rope and just wanted to ask. Do you have a video on it already? I enjoy your content! Been watching for a long while. Jump roping really has changed the game for me! Keep doing the thing!
I have a barbell and a jump rope, and work out 3 times a week. Jump rope is a great way to become fit, strong and coordinated in relatively small condensed periods of time.
I don’t do leg focused training in terms of weightlifting but I do bodyweight squats, I skateboard (more of a leg workout than you’d expect) and I hike and skip all the time. So I’m always training legs but not to grow muscle.
I am testing jumping rope for 30 days compared to my normal cardio of running/walking to see if it gives me an additional boost in fat/weight loss. This is along with lifting and a food deficit and eating better quality.
Is it common to have pain in legs as beginner?? Like i do warmup but still the viens in leg starts hurting after 50-60 counts. Should i continue jumping ropes while taking break for few seconds?
Totally normal, make sure you're skipping in intervals (20 seconds on 10 seconds off) and take it slow. my warm up is someone else's full workout, it takes time to get better.
I have flat feet and for some reason, my right ankle gets sore anytime I try and jump rope everyday. Do you know anyone who has any tips for jumping rope with flat feet? Thanks!
..really got to lift weights or atleast do basic calisthenics..watch other yt channels..so not to get bored of monotony...boxing,lift,body weights, eat clean..cheat meals(reward yourself) dont over indulge, dont deny yourself of sweets every now and then coz life is short to eat same thing everyday ..and most importantly ENJOY..
So, the secret is to date a girl who control the macros 😂😂 Seriously, as you said before, the secret is to do any type od physical activity consistently, some you enjoy the most and do it 👊🏻👊🏻 Following your channel I discovered that jump rope is addictive. Thanks Dan 👊🏻👊🏻

I bought standup paddle-board to lose weight 😂 and now, I am in jumping, because I cannot easily stand on it!
Hello Dan, is there such a ting as good or bad boxer skip form?
And is possibly could you make a video to explain the difference, thank you, Dave
I think yes there could be bad form make sure to follow our tutorials on boxer skip !
Hi, may I ask you what is your BPM in a normal workout ? For example 30 min only jumping rope. Thx
Not sure I don’t wear anything to track it
Appreciate for the information. Are you guys getting more JRP mats on crossrope?
I’ll check with them !
Shows they're in stock outside the U.S.
Good video

@@JumpRopeDudes You’re Welcome!

Do you train legs? Or do you just skip rope for legs?
is latpulldown & chest press machine good alternative to pull ups& push ups👀
Sounds like good swaps to me (I don't use weight machines)
How often are you doing pushups and pull-ups per week ?
depends, push ups once or twice a week, pull ups basically every day (dead hang every day.)
You can absolutely get shredded with jump rope as your only exercise…so long as you stay in a caloric deficit.
What do U do if my shins are hurting? Starting out jump roping and exercising from nothing before

It's really about practice bouncing on your toes and staying light on your feet.
Wear arch support insoles with your running shoes or cross trainers.
