Golden Sun seriously deserves to be one of the best JRPG of all time. Well-built expansive world with deep lores and locations, great graphics of that time, full of secrets and great puzzles, and interesting battle system when every move should be considered carefully.
Very well said, we can see here how much magic flowed into these games. Golden Sun holds secrets words cannot bear, and I mean it. Be cautious, wanderer (above and beyond a sea of fog) ;) Golden sun purposefully is THE top 1 inspiration of my life and it is an omage I believe to the father of this sun, there is mystery in the Title, I know.
The story ends with Golden Sun 2 and it was well done, theres no need to make more Golden sun, maybe a visual upgrade on the new nintendo but thats it. the dont have to milk a game too much. but if you want fanservice games like Dark Dawn... well

There is going to be a war for control of Weyard, and Alex is going to be leading that war. He wants to rule and he's going to hunt down Isaac and the golden sun teams for that little bit of power he's missing to have unlimited power and unlimited life, and Felix and Isaac are going to band together to stop him. That's what i think.
I personally would like to see Alex be the main character for GS3. hell, I'd buy the game just to play the battle where he takes on the Wise One. Epic battle would be epic.

My proposed 3rd party characters for GS3 back before GS Dark Dawn got released were the following: Mercury Adept: Alex (and he's Main Character with no talking) Mars Adept: Karst (where she returns via resurrection with sister Menardi) Jupiter Adept: Hama (Ivan's Sister) Venus Adept: Uzume (aka. Mayor of Izumo & the 1st Female Venus Adept) Of course in my proposed GS3, where the characters will meet their 1st Djinns (which back in GS1 & GS Lost Age, the 1st Djinn are usually a Venus Djinn Flint & Echo, both are talking Djinns) in my proposed GS3, the 1st Djinn is a Mercury Djinn & of course, that Mercury Djinn will be talking. Oh, that's easy! Just go to the Mia's house in Imil (one with two old ppl) and get the empty bottle in the chest. Then beat the Mercury lighthouse, and the water of the lighthouse will flow again. Approach the fountain where old lady asks you if you want to drink and press a on the fountain. Then go to items and use the empty bottle on it. Now go back to the forest, get inside the Trent tree, fall down all the way from the top level and you'll see the tree spirit. Use water on him :D
I think they turned it to spread the power upon all the main characters of the first two games, as they all show the same abilities. Even Kraden has got some power. I like that better than the ending explains here.

At first I've played goldensun I thought alex would be in my team and will serve as my water adept but he got other things in his mind and found out he is obsessed to power
I was gift GSII for my 9th or 10th birthday (I think so), and I could not even get to Lemuria... Then, I played it again some years later, and the satisfaction it gave me made it become my favourite game since the very moment I saw this epic ending scene!
+Matt JB Play the sequel! Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for the Nintendo DS! It's a lot easier than the first two games so many dislike the lack of difficulty, and it's also similar to GS1 where the story is only half-way told, but still plenty of fun and lore! Definitely recommend it!
You should remember that Alex only helps out when it's beneficial to him. He's still plotting but what we won't find out until Golden Sun 4 releases. Please make it happen. Don't let the series' story stay on a cliffhanger.
I think he could be considered an anti-hero, then. Only helping others when he can get something out of it, and not necessarily 'good' or 'bad', but just desiring more and more power.

I'm pretty sure I cried the first time I saw Isaac reuniting with him Mom in the family hug part. I teared up again just now watching the whole reunion with everyone scene. Can't wait for GS3! There are supposed to be Psynergy portals that sap all Psynergetic power away from anyone who gets too close. Watching this scene makes me think that it's Alex at the center of Weyard messing around.
I have a question! So when the elemental stars were stolen, the Wise One gave Isaac the task of bringing them back or else. But the wise one also knew that the world would end if the 4 lighthouses were not lit? So Isaac had the same goal as Felix but the Wise One made them fight eachother for no reason?
I was also wondering why he made them fight their parents as a dragon. He also said that he can't interfere with humans, but he clearly contradicts himself by defeating Alex.
@@Dogsineed It probably applies to the people of Vale. The dragon was done as a way to test their strength and resolve. As for Alex, the Wise One wanted to prove to Alex he was not a god. As he had already predicted Alex's intentions and took precautionary measures to ensure he would not get what he truly desired i.e. god like power.
Here's a great thought I had: The city of Anemos was lifted into the sky. Sheba fell form the sky. Anyone else see this obvious thing? And In Izuno the two- Kushinada and what'shisname said hteir kid would come to save Felix's descendants.
Felix went out to sea to explore more of the new world, Mia is married and inactive, Piers probably either return back to Lemuria or went on the same adventure with Felix.
By far one of the greatest RPGs ever made... and the most underrated. I want a Golden Sun DS to come out, but when I heard it featured you playing as Isaac's kid, I was turned off by the prospect of playing as another 17 year old kid. I mean, c'mon Camelot, your audience has grown up, so same should go for your games too. Also, I was hoping the next game would incorporate some of the same ideas as it's predecessors, but still be separate from it, like the final fantasy games...
@Atoutlem0nde I am making a Golden Sun Fangame just like that, except without the alternate dimension part, though in my game their will be a WHOLE lot of land to explore, and also you will actually have isaac and felix's party join yours at the end, so the final battle will be against Shudrawah, he is the elemental god of evil, and i have 3 elements in play (Uranus: Dark, Saturn: Light, and Pluto: Time), though there will be more stuff in the game than what i have listed
I'm guessing Isaac's 25% of Pure Alchemy will remain sealed until it's needed against Alex..or he may somehow distribute it among his friends 0.o otherwise he'd just surpass them all put together.. Can't wait for GS3. Wii or DS? Doesn't matter. It'll own.

I have Golden Sun Dark Dawn but I need to complete it. It just doesn't feel the same to me as the GBA games. I wouldn't mind a Golden Sun 4 for 3DS or even a 3DS remake of 1 and 2. :)
+Brad Setzer I&II were flawless, perfect RPGs. Dark Dawn was a somehow stable RPG but it wasnt even close. though i'd surely be happy to play some more golden sun, too

@Atoutlem0nde I am making a Golden Sun Fangame just like that, except without the alternate dimension part, though in my game their will be a WHOLE lot of land to explore, and also you will actually have isaac and felix's party join yours at the end, so the final battle will be against Shudrawah, he is the elemental god of evil, and i have 3 elements in play (Uranus: Dark, Saturn: Light, and Pluto: Time), though there will be more stuff in the game than what i have listed
they are making a manga of GS DD so they make an anime :D

Unlike them, Alex have NEARLY LIMITLESS LIFE (he could live almost forever) AND also have NEARLY LIMITILESS POWER (other adepts don'T have such advantage).
If what you say is right, why would alex go to the trouble of climbing mt.alpeph if he could have standed at top of mars lighthouse? why?

I have Golden Sun Dark Dawn but I need to complete it. It just doesn't feel the same to me as the GBA games. I wouldn't mind a Golden Sun 4 for 3DS or even a 3DS remake of 1 and 2. :)
+Brad Setzer I&II were flawless, perfect RPGs. Dark Dawn was a somehow stable RPG but it wasnt even close. though i'd surely be happy to play some more golden sun, too

i wonder if we'll know what happened to Alex. Maybe he's one of the bosses. I know many ppl may think Alex will be the final boss of Dark Dawn. I disagree. I think its a new character we dont know of yet.
