I bought the QC35 at an early Black Friday price of $180. The ANC was AMAZING, but I felt the audio quality left a lot to be desired (the Sony MDR-XB500 I was replacing had better overall sound quality). I returned the QC35 to Target & bought the 700 refurbished from Bose for $230 (w/ $20 mailing list). The ANC is not as good, nor are these as comfortable as the QC35, but the sound quality is much better and the EQ within the different app made the difference more profound & well worth the extra $50!! To quantify the ANC differences, I have a small space heater (maybe 10-12" tall?). With the QC35, I could not hear the heater at all. Sometimes I would forget it was on until I felt the heat. With the 700's there is about a 90% reduction. If the Bose Connect app for the QC 35's had the same features like the Bose Music app for the 700s (primarily the EQ), then I probably would not have upgraded.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The QC35 headphones are a hard pair of headphones to beat, lol. The Bose 700 headphones sound really good and have features that still make them relevant today. I just hope they make the next generation with better noise cancellation and make them closer to the QC35 headphones in comfort. I have no problem wearing the 700 headphones all day, but the QC35 headphones were on another level… I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Don’t be a stranger!

Hi I just bout the bose 700 and really love them the audio cable that comes with it to listen to music with do you think it makes a difference in the quality of sound compared to wireless r u think it doesn't make a difference ? Your thoughts please sir
It kind of depends on what you are using as your source device… Some devices have headphone jacks that are built with better audio quality in mind, so they will sound a bit better when plugged in. Generally, playing music through the wire will be better because it is reading the information from the source device and you do not have to worry about the Bluetooth codec, which is another thing that can lower or raise audio quality. There are other factors, like if your using the 3.5mm or USB-C, but that’s for another discussion… The Bose 700 has a DAC/Amp setup in the headphones to control the sound, but the audio quality will vary depending on whether your source device is playing music using AAC or SBC (AAC being the higher quality codec). I hope I didn’t confuse you with the answer… Thanks for taking the time to watch!

I too am looking forward to what bose has in store for next generation as I find they make the most comfortable headphones for long listening sessions as you mention.
I would have gone for this if the design was like the QC 35 ii. I would rather wait for the Qc 45. Not so concerned with a superior microphone quality.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! My review of the QC45 is coming out this week. I go over the pros and cons of the QC45 in that video! I also touch on some of the differences between the two headphones. Check it out if you’re interested.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The highway was below where I was standing. Cars were passing on the lower level. I have changed the call quality test to be more stringent, lol. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! Don’t be a stranger!
I got these headphones for free with my Pixel 6 and honestly the audio quality is FAR FAR worse than a regular pair of studio headphones that cost 1/3 of the price because of the noise cancelling/wireless aspect. All frequencies are very weak. The noise cancelling works very well however.
Have you mess around with the eq settings. I like to get your input or your follower’s input on that. I also wish Bose had some preset settings and add customize settings like Sonys do. I think they would win over more people with that.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The EQ settings will get the job done. They’re not like the Sony EQ settings, but it does give you the option to adjust the highs, mids, and lows as needed. Sony gives you a lot more to work with, but you can make the Bose 700 headphones sound the way you need them to without going out and purchasing a third party EQ. The Bose 700 are one of my go to wireless headphones. They sound good, great call quality, and have the features most people look for in a pair of headphones. I think Bose is starting to add more options to their headphones. I can’t wait to see what they do with the next generation of Bose 700 headphones! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Welcome to the team!
@@leon3rd1 I generally keep my EQ settings on 10 highs, 5 mids, and 10 lows for the Bose 700 headphones. There are some tracks I’ll use 8 highs, 5 mids, and 8 lows, but generally the former settings. I hope this helps!
Thanks for taking the time to watch! This was using the 3.5. The audio quality may also suffer from going to the headphones to being uploaded as well. I try to give the most accurate representation of what I hear, but it is going through a few checkpoints before you all hear it. I appreciate you taking the time to comment, don’t be a stranger!
Yes, you can use the volume controls on your phone and swipe on the headphones. Whichever you prefer at that time. Thanks for taking the time to watch!
@@MrEvanTea A while ago, I would have said the Bose 700... Now I'm switching to the QC45. The QC45 sounds a bit better out the box, but it did not have an EQ when they were released. The QC45 now has an EQ and sounds a bit better in my opinion. If you're going to the gym/working out at all in headphones or want to be able to adjust the noise cancellation, the Bose 700 is still the way to go. In all other aspects the QC45 is better. Just to throw this in there, the Bose 700 is due for an update. They may bring us something special with that update, but I have not heard anything as to when that will be released. If you have a good set of headphones now, I would probably wait to see if they say something later this year. If you're a headphone collector like me, the QC45, will serve you well. @@MrEvanTea Definitely check them both out! Both sound pretty good, but the QC45 is a bit more refined in my opinion. I can't wait to see what they do to the next generation 700... Is it normal to have no thumpy bass at all with 700 or my 700s are faulty?? Please answer this(i also own a qc 35 ii and it has that vibrating your head feeling but 700s NONE!)
Welcome back! The NC 700 has decent bass. Of the headphones I have reviewed so far, the WH1000XM4 has the most bass. The NC 700 has a more controlled style of bass. The bass doesn’t get exaggerated. You do have the EQ to adjust, but it’s not like the EQ you get from Sony. It’s not hard hitting bass, but it’s deep and controlled.
@@EnglishT90 Alright, I just finished listening to the QC45, the QC35 Mark II, and the NC 700. The bass sounds about the same… the QC45 is a lot more clear with the vocals, but the bass is about the same. I’ll be doing a comparison very soon of the different headphones so you can hear it and let me know what you think.
@@EnglishT90 if you’re using the 700s without a charge it will sound very subtle. The bass will be non existent, literally no thump at all. You definitely have to use those headphones with a charge (even with the headphones plugged in 🤦🏾).
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! I can’t provide an answer for the PS5, because I have not been able to get one, lol. Based on past PS4 experience, I wouldn’t use these as a gaming headset. I have a pair of Astros for that. Bose does offer a USB link Bluetooth dongle that may help with this, but that is another purchase on something that may or may not work. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The highway was below where I was standing. Cars were passing on the lower level. I have changed the call quality test to be more stringent, lol. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! Don’t be a stranger!
@@DelonteM as a said, thank you for a great video. Best regards from sweden
@@Arzo001 I appreciate your support and welcome to the team!
I got these headphones for free with my Pixel 6 and honestly the audio quality is FAR FAR worse than a regular pair of studio headphones that cost 1/3 of the price because of the noise cancelling/wireless aspect. All frequencies are very weak. The noise cancelling works very well however.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and sharing your thoughts!
@@DelonteM Thanks for the response, but still wanted to know what eq settings you chose for your Bose 700
@@leon3rd1 I generally keep my EQ settings on 10 highs, 5 mids, and 10 lows for the Bose 700 headphones. There are some tracks I’ll use 8 highs, 5 mids, and 8 lows, but generally the former settings. I hope this helps!
Was this music played using 3.5/ and or dac ?
Listening on Sony 7606 and there’s a lot of white noise but they sound good 👍🏼
Thanks for taking the time to watch! This was using the 3.5. The audio quality may also suffer from going to the headphones to being uploaded as well. I try to give the most accurate representation of what I hear, but it is going through a few checkpoints before you all hear it. I appreciate you taking the time to comment, don’t be a stranger!
Nice review
What’s up! Thanks for taking the time to check out the video!
Awesome!!
I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video!
Can you bring up and down the volume via your phone or do you have to swipe up and down on the headphones?
Yes, you can use the volume controls on your phone and swipe on the headphones. Whichever you prefer at that time. Thanks for taking the time to watch!
@@DelonteM I'm in 2 minds, I'm wondering if I should go for the 45s or the 700s.... It's all about audio quality for me, I'm a big music listener
I hope this helps!
@@DelonteM I was at a store yesterday and I got to listen to the 45s but couldn't listen to the 700s on display because they said the battery's were gone on the display ones, the 45s sounded great, I think the feel of the 700s felt better.... Just wish I could have heard them
@@MrEvanTea Definitely check them both out! Both sound pretty good, but the QC45 is a bit more refined in my opinion. I can't wait to see what they do to the next generation 700... I'm hoping we get better sound, better noise canceling, the sensor to stop the music, and better battery life. We'll see!
Wonderful review, 👌👌👌

Does EQ settings makes this headphone perfect for EDM music?
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The EQ definitely helps!. Bose has a neutral/balanced sound signature, so being able to adjust the lows, highs, and mids would definitely help with EDM. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Don’t be a stranger!
@@DelonteM Thank you for reply my question
@@MrFikrullah No problem!
@@DelonteM Bus still you get bass as much as qc 35 right?
@@EnglishT90 Alright, I just finished listening to the QC45, the QC35 Mark II, and the NC 700. The bass sounds about the same… the QC45 is a lot more clear with the vocals, but the bass is about the same. I’ll be doing a comparison very soon of the different headphones so you can hear it and let me know what you think.
@@DelonteM I got qc 35 ii and 700 and 700s that I have are probably faulty then. That is why I don't feel any rumble at all
@@EnglishT90 if you’re using the 700s without a charge it will sound very subtle. The bass will be non existent, literally no thump at all. You definitely have to use those headphones with a charge (even with the headphones plugged in 🤦🏾).
Nice centent

Hi can I use these with my ps5?
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! I can’t provide an answer for the PS5, because I have not been able to get one, lol. Based on past PS4 experience, I wouldn’t use these as a gaming headset. I have a pair of Astros for that. Bose does offer a USB link Bluetooth dongle that may help with this, but that is another purchase on something that may or may not work. I would suggest separating the gaming headset from the music headset. This is all based on my PS4 experience, maybe someone with a PS5 can give you better info. I hope this helps. Fantastic noise cancelling and best in class call quality but sound.. Just meh. If u want sound quality the px7 or shure 50 else bose 700 is fine

Why do you keep saying "you" like that, so weird, makes the video unwatchable
The intent is to make engaging or more conversational videos without being able to actually converse with the audience. I have had people say they like how I do videos because it makes them feel like I’m talking to them personally instead of just talking to the camera. There is no way I can please everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to watch the portion you were able to watch!
