Music nibs can be also found at Nakaya. If you can find one, the Nakata (the old brand’s name) music nibs are by far the best music nibs ever.
A little off topic but is there any inks you would not use in a Sailor Pro Gear Slim? I’m assuming no shimmer inks.Thank you.
Music composer here. I like using a pencil for the quick edits that can be made, this is the only reason that it is preferred. If I'm just writing down music with no need for edits I will often use a fountain pen, and if any edits need to be made I will correct them with pencil later on

Woah now. No flex to be had here. Sailor nibs are stiff and aren't keen to undue pressure on the tines. If you're looking for flex, I'd suggest checking out our video on the Pilot Custom 912 FA nib. That's a flexy nib.

Firstly, the warning is hysterical, the video is very well-produced, but most importantly this is so very informative. Bell has been rung.
The range of nib sizes (specifically MF) from Sailor is part of why I love them. The MF is just... perfect for me, exactly what I like and need for my tastes and for the range of papers I use regularly. However, I clearly have to get Music and Zoom nibs to try out. Especially Zoom actually, thought might have to get it ground down slightly, the low-angle thickness is a bit much for my tastes. If my mom wasn't tiny I'd love to gift her a Naginata Togi. Wanna get a nice pen in her hands at some point.

Careful now. High gold content nibs are not for the ham-fisted. Easily splayed. You don't want a high gold content nib for writing angry letters to your congressman.
