Thank you for this video. I changed out the old steering pump belt on my 2006 and of the three 12mm bolt to loosen the one that is hidden out of view and up top was the hardest. This is the pivot bolt on which the pump rotates. This is how I did it. I am sure there are other ways as well but I managed with the tools I had. I removed the upper strut engine mount aka dogbone. This gives me access to the larger low ( I believe) pressure reservoir hose so I could zip tie it out of the way to gain access to the head of the hidden 12mm bolt. This hose passes near the pulley so it needed to be out of the way. From UNDER the vehicle I used a 3/8 ratchet with a stub extension and a 12pt 12mm socket. This combination allowed the socket to securely fit over the bolt and at the same time provides clearance from the pulley to rotate the handle of the ratchet. I suppose a 12mm deep socket could work as well. As the bolt was loosened it became apparent to me that I could not flip the ratchet to the tighten mode as there was no space to to do so. Even with the couple loosening turns the pump was easy enough to swivel. After installing the belt I adjusted the tension as best as I could using a large screw driver wedged appropriately. I tightened the two visisble 12 mm bolts then proceeded to do the top bolt. But since I could not flip the ratchet to the tighten mode to tighten the upper bolt I used a vise grip on the socket and and then tighten sufficiently so I could remove the ratchet and flip the ratchet to tighten. For extra leverage I used a piece of pvc piping . I hope this technique helps some one. Finally the belt I used was a Bando 4PK 880.

@@ikigaidriven I brought all of the Lexus factory repair manual volume 1,2,and 3 a few months ago and the electrical wiring diagram a few weeks ago as well. My sister has a 05 RX330 she’s had for 4 years now and I’m planning to change all three belts , water pump, the power steering pump return line that’s leaking , cabin filter, engine air filter , PCV valve, radiator that’s leaking from an accident, all the coolant hoses, thermostat , oil filter, flush brake fluid, both rear disc rotors and pads, replace a few missing clips, replace transmission fluid and filter, and buy a kit to resurface the headlights, I brought and will replace the rear passenger grab assist handle. I have to buy an new driver visor, get the driver seatbelt repair from an accident from the previous owner , detail the car, and maybe replace the front seats leather bottom and get new tires. I brought new tires 4 years ago. Paid for Michelin tires and left the car with my sister at shop. the shop put on ling long tires. I never checked until a whole year later when my sister came to visit and saw the tires. I got scammed $800. The car had 57k miles when we brought it and now it has 111k. The A/C sometimes works. Flashes when it’s not. I think it was affected by the accident my sister had. I might buy a new condenser and dryer, not sure . I’m learning how to work on the a/c system and may buy or borrow tools from auto zone or something . All the parts I’ve brought last Friday cost $1,900.00. ( someone I know gave me the hookup) and the cost will be split between my sister and I. The dealer charges $169 per hour labor. I’m do it all by myself. You can access Toyota, Lexus, and Scion repair manual online. They have different prices for how long you want access to the system.

I forgot I brought MPC factory remote start for it. And will plan to buy a dashboard cover to hide all the cracks

The timing belt is an entirely different job altogether , as you know , even though it also involves removing these belts. I did the TB and water pump on my 06 and it is quite involved if you have not done it before. Removing the serpentine and steering pump belt is really easy when compared to what you need to know and do for the TB change.
