Got a few questions for you: When you disconnect the the 2 clips where the cables go into the door panel, how do the clips come off? I'm more of a visually learner, so it's hard for me to figure it without looking at the part or a diagram. I did mine but not with spray paint I used Forever Black black convertible top Gel two coats then two coats of Clear I was very surprise of the job it did.

It looked like you didn’t need to bend the tabs to get the tube out of the new or old housing. Why did you need to bend the tabs when you put the longer tube in the new housing? I’m nervous about having to bend tabs when I get my metal housing.

Here are some better tips: -use the heat coming out of the radiator fan to keep the freon dispensing. HOLD the can in order to avoid overheating it! When the can gets really cold, the vapor pressure inside drops and slows down delivery substantially -delivering too much liquid at once can damage the compressor. Also the pressure reading can take a few minutes to show pressure increase. You may overfill if delivering liquid this quickly -most cars can output about 40-42F vent air temperature. In this video, the measured vent temperature of 60F was just a coincidence in matching the set temperature of 60F. It should have been closer to 40F until the cabin temperature reached 60F. It was only blowing 59F on a supposedly 70F day, not so great -over-filling can cause the AC to stop working on hotter days, the over pressure sensor (switch) may stop the compressor -on newer cars 2016+ and even 2006+ BMW, the compressors don’t use a regular clutch. Those use a variable valve to control refrigerant flow. The low side pressures are generally 30-35psi, not 35psi+. These systems are easy to over-charge -higher low-side pressures are often bad for cooling, compressor life and gas mileage. If you hear a new whine with AC engaged ONLY AFTER charging + pressure is 40psi+, then you likely had overcharged the system -think of low-side pressures as mostly a reflection of the evaporator temperature. The evaporator is what gets cold and air blows through it. The colder the evaporator, the lower the low-side pressure, to an extent of course -windows should be open, fans on 75%, vents set to recirculate. This is to provide constant air-intake temperature. Otherwise, you may trick yourself to getting air at lower temperatures (windows up) OR air at higher temperatures (fresh air from near engine compartment). Fans blowing at max speed do not allow enough time for the air to cool down. The air flow will feel good but the actual air temperature will be higher -overfilling by a lot also means you will likely release a lot to adjust pressures. This is not ideal, but also will cause you to squirt and lose a decent amount of oil -do this process in a shade to have air temperature closely matching with forecast temperature (on your phone). It will also be more comfortable for you
