Wow, I’m nearly 2 years into my first post-grad job and these tips are exactly what I’ve learned and realized as well. Love hearing your perspective on this!
Love the breadth of your advice and the "cute chords" at the beginning and at the end of your video. I think #1 and #10 are the most important pieces of advice, if you need to pick 🙂
Thanks for this! Point 10 really resonated deeply because I do find myself comparing myself with my colleagues. It becomes depressing and I find that I become less motivated because of that. However, I've learned that everyone is different and as you said, we all grow at different rates. Really amazing and solid advice to anyone starting out, and even to those who have already been working for years!
Loved it! Just experienced a situation where I did some extra work for the team but in the end, I was questioned why I did that and that was not what I was supposed to do, felt quite frustrated. But I know that what I did apparently pushed the process and helped to bring two teams closer. So I decided not to listen to some toxic comments from those colleagues
I'm just a first year from UBC and my mission is to incorporate ESG elements in business objectives. Thank you so much for your advices! Will keep them in mind.
thank you for your advice! almost 8 months in from my first full time job out of college :) it was a very hard transition for me and i started comparing myself to my more experienced colleagues, and at times i would feel very incompetent. so this video was a good reminder and it also gave me a fresh perspective :)
this has been helpful! I am a couple of months into my first real job and feel like i hit a rut, these tips are nice ways to remind myself to actively continue working on myself
It’s really nice to hear these tips. I just started my first ‘real’ job and it’s very daunting because all of my colleagues are experienced and i can’t help but to compare myself to them and feel like i lack lol. The transition from college to work is very difficult for me too since I’m used to the comfort zone of college and working life is far from it lol
Literally agree with all your tips. I'm a senior now and my juniors just cannot live without me. I want to tell to them all your tips because that's what I want to say to them all the time !!
Thanks very insightful 👍👍 have you made a video about career shifting advices ? Sometimes people feel that their first career/job is not suitable anymore with their dreams etc so they decide to look another career and jobs. Thanks
Build relationships, DONT FORCE relationships. Make genuine relationships that aligns with your values - dont befriend someone just because you think you can take advantage of their status.
Great video Kchoi! I’m going to recommend all our new hires at my firm watch this. I can’t get these dang Gen Z kids to share their thoughts or opinions on anything at work.
I love the way you mention and describe them clearly with instances. I’m sure that’ll help people to be more persistence on what to do and how to behave in order to have a long-term career. Just an idea; maybe it’ll be great if you can share tips on how to be productive as a person, and stay motivated. You seemed really great on it! Thanks! 🤍

Which university is the employer's favorite in the management consulting industry?
Probably depends on the consultancy. But they go to lots of top universities for recruiting. There isn’t going to be a favorite one
I have a huge question! For someone who is just starting out in PR fresh out of college, what do you search when you look for a job?
usually entry level positions at PR firms! More likely to have entry level jobs at a firm than in-house
@@bykchoi thank you so much!
I wanna be consultant but didn't get luck..... Could you please help me out.... I am an MBA student.. basically about to graduate by coming July....
Great video Kchoi! I’m going to recommend all our new hires at my firm watch this. I can’t get these dang Gen Z kids to share their thoughts or opinions on anything at work.
