I honestly don’t remember if I let it run before I did this job , but I remember this customer specifically and I’m sure it was warm while doing this. I didn’t unhook the battery as I see no need to , just make sure the ignition is off or the wires may short out the glow plug controller.
i just changed #1 on my 2018 l5p. and stumbled upon this relearn. what do i need for a scan tool to perform this? by canadian tire scanner wont do a relearn
Never use power tools on a glow plug! Snap that thing off or strip those threads and you are screwed. Scary! Get the motor hot, be patient, take your time, and do it by hand.
Did you disconnect the battery before doing this? Truck warmed up before this?

I did not , Have seen the truck drive by multiple times so im sure its fine.

What's the TQ on the plugs?
Per mitchell the glow plug torque is 13 lb ft and the nut holding the wire onto the glow plug is 24 lb in .
