I have those studs. I run them at torqued to a 150ft lbs . I also have .062 orings on my head. I blew a few head gaskets prior to going to this setup. I lifted my head a few times. I'm running a 7875 over a s488. 6x.022 injectors. Full song i make 110psi. I really like these studs . I have nothing bad to say. I've had them for about 18 months .
I talked to e diesel mechanics in my town and they all told me they would never take out a head bolt, and re crush the same head gasket with a stud. All 3 mechanics told me, if it was my truck, I would want a new head gasket from cummins in there and i would never retorque the old one

Good content in this video BUT!!!
If I may correct you on the valve bridge and rockers, it does matter how they go back on once they are removed, WHY you might ask? Well every moving part has a distinct wear pattern, and if you do not put the parts back in same position they can and will wear uneven and wear much faster. And when adjusting the valves it’s good practice to leave the feeler gauge in place while tightening the jam nut, this way there’s less movement of the rocker arm. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Great info man. I appreciate the info on these studs. I ended yp going with the ARP 625's but maybe I should've just given these guys a try. Seems like a good product
i ran 67psi of boost through mine and 30 degrees of timing never had a head gasket issue on a 207,000mile head gasket and never did a hot retorque. i will be testing the ARP625+ equivalents from them next to see how that goes
I never do hot tq, I follow the manufacturer instructions and leave it as that. Yea these studs will provide better clamping Than arp 2000s

I think xotic offers some higher grade studs that compete or beat 625’s. I threw that same kit in my 5.9 and they’ve been solid.
They do! They just been on back order for a long time cause they can't get the materials to make them right now
I would say the II-5G air dog but they only have that in the 220 for 4th gens so I’m guessing II-4G 165. Another dope vid brotha👍🏻

Loving the xotic head studs. Where is the best place to buy bigger injectors? I switched to Cummins from ford.
Flux diesel hands down!! Don and April are the owners and they do excellent work and quality. Look up flux diesel injectors. Also if u call and make a order and mention the channel they'll give u a discount too. Only injectors I run on my cummins

Long as they head gasket is fine it's never a bad time to change the bolts to studs really

If the truck is deleted already you should be fine. I had custom tuning on the 3rd gen. So I never got a light

Building my 2014. Trying to part match. Definitely a task keeping up. On mine, I have a loud squeal when I switch on my exhaust brake going down a hill. Would you have any Ideas. I asked on a previous episode.

I just purchased my Fass 165
Exaust leak, check manifold at the head. Look closely with a good flashlight, you’ll see soot build up on the head/manifold mating surface, typically the rear cylinder.
This man sound weird but u know the exhaust break makes a sound when it's braking kinda sounds like a whooshing sound. But If that's not the sound u talking about then I would check around it, down pipe connection, manifold bolts, make sure manifold doesn't have a crack. Soot build up anywhere is a prime sign u got a exhaust leak somewhere

I had a 6.7 and I had arp on them but these are stronger than arp 2000s

Hell yea man, it's cause arp had a monopoly on studs for the longest but now they got competion and these companies will admit openly it doesn't cost half of what arp is charging for there head bolts. Just mark up
