      What year truck did you have? I have a 99 5.9 cummins an I got a s475 but don't know if I can use a steed speed mainfold with a angled or straight turbo foot print

    Thanks for sharing liked and enjoyed your video, I'm having to change my turbo and manifold and plan on same brand but mine is 2007 with a 5.9 so plan to use just above stock since carry alot of weight with a custom weld bed it's my welding rig so want to have it mainly for towing but a lil quicker

    i have a 2008 6.7 with a lightly built trans and h&s mini maxx tuner. which turbo should i do for my truck? i know i want a smeding turbo kit and might eventually do compounds. so which turbo should i get if i want to eventually add another one?

    Might be repeating an already asked question but real talk whatcha think, 464 or the 467?
    I tow but never heavy, like maybe once a month heavy heavy. But normally just 3 zero turns & a push mower on my custom 22ft utility trailer.

    Also on those braided lines they look nice but do have leak issues especially on the turbo return that goes back into the block into the oil pan. I switched to the flexable metal one. The guys at my local deisel shop(I trust) say it's a very common thing and go with the flexable return lines.

    Hey! So was the oil leak coming from the bottom oil inlet tubing going into the turbo and was the oil leak resolved once you put everything back together? Also, How's your steering pump holding up? Great videos man. Thanks!

      yessir the leak was from drain line bottom of the turbo and oil feed line on top, it's fixed now no leaks, and i went with thinner oil too so i know its good!

    Hey brother, question, what are your average boost numbers while driving like normal? I have a 68mm on my 4th gen and the numbers are LOW like max I see normal driving is about 8psi, that’s about half throttle though. I miss my 64.5

    I’m curious if you could have a 2nd gen swap with an s&b intake box, I know you’d probably have to get some sort of custom tube made but I like the idea of an intake box

    EVERYTHANG DIESEL You can have a huge compressor and still not make big power on the top end due to having a small turbine. Take my setup. My secondary is based off a turbonetics turbo the compressor is 76mm and the turbine is 65mm . Your s464 is much bigger than mine. When your trying to understand what a turbo will do picture the turbine and compressor like gearing or leverage. Theres allot more to it but tgats the simple way to under stand it Both are needed to make power.

      I agree and I'm pretty knowledgeable understanding it I did a lot of research understanding it. I like that comparison of two gearing system. For a single setup the 64mm with 83 turbine is a good setup. Very similar spool to stock low end but much better mid speed and rolling.

      Depends on your driving needs if u tow a lot 464 if not 467 all day

    Maybe you did or didn't but you didn't talk about it. Supposed to leave the oil feed line off once everything is on and clocked, pour oil into the feed port, spin the comp wheel by hand several times, add more oil, spin again and then connect the oil feed once you've done an oil chance. This makes sure the bearing has oil to it before you start it so that it isn't completely dry at first ever start.
    Also, what Turbine housing are you running on the new s464? Did you stay with the .90 or did you go to the 1.0?
    I am running a .90 right now on mine but I am swapping to the 1.0ar to help with longevity on my turbo.

      Went with 1.0 ar 6.7 Cummins should only use 1.0 for best airflow and power curve. I mentioned it in the video I believe

      It was recommended for me to use the .90ar but Johnny at stainless diesel said not to and it's been almost 2 years since I Installed the turbo so thought id change it out before it gets beyond point of no return.

    You have an exhaust brake too? My turbo is stock but I don’t think my EB is working cause it doesn’t go into high idle ever and doesn’t seem to slow when I push the EB button

      No the eb was on the stock turbo, the eb has nothing to do with high idle. Make sure ur hitting the right buttons

    Mine is a 2016 Cummins so I know it's a bit different, but did you need a tuner to make sure the new turbo didn't throw a code or put her into limp mode? I'm looking at doing a 2nd gen swap but tuners have all gone the way of the dinosaur now (thanks, EPA!) so I'm kinda stuck. Looking for your feedback. Thanks, brother! Love your content.

      At the very least you would need your truck tuned and deleted. To do a 2nd gen swap. U can't do it on a stock emission equipped truck.

      When u do a 2nd gen swap you replace your manifold with a different style one and your egr wouldn't be able to connect to it no more

      In that case yea it will work. To get the best out the turbo I recommend a custom tune file for it though. But you install a 2nd gen swap kit

      Yeah the oil drain line was loose a little causing the leak

    While your experimenting, you should try an s364.5sxe or s366sxe. Spools even sooner, and faster, and flows more air.

      ahaaa the infamous s300sxe vs s400 thats a good comparison there man, especially since i drove a s369sxe 6.7 cummins and it was amazing. the compressor maps tell two stories there, if i ever got my hand on one id defiently do the comparison!

      @@EVERYTHANGDIESEL they are some great units. I'm pushing for higher power and stuck with the s400sxe frame for reliability and turbine flow. But a non abused daily can make a fun 7-800 on a 300sxe.

    I’d be careful running that thinner oil i didn’t think it got all that cold in your area? You might experience some blow by on my old 5.9 i ran 15w50 year round no issues but on my 18 6.7 i just keep 15w40 i just don’t trust that lite of oil in a diesel that’s just me tho

      EVERYTHANG DIESEL Success or not, 6.7 Cummins engine is not designed for that weight of oil. You could be wearing internal parts out faster than normal.

      I have seen numerous diesels running 5w30 or 10w30 it's sole purpose is fuel economy the detergents they put in the oil is what make them compatible with the engine

      I've never had a bad experience. I've ran 4 different turbo setups from MDC Diesel and loved it. Affordable yet effective kit. Plus Mack at MDC is always willing to help or give information about stuff. I recommend them man you won't be disappointed. If you go with the turbo I recommend upgrading to the billet wheel, high flow compressor and heavy duty bearing. The turbo will be a ripper.       Oh yeah man no doubt I installed one on my 5th gen and did evil fabs kit and it actually was a big let down I had every issue you could think of with the evil fab kit and yeah I’m going to run the 467 I got 100 over sticks from s and s 10mm pump 165gph lift pump stage 3 fire ringed head from fleece , fluidamper, fleece rockers Hamilton trunions heavy duty push rods you name it everything under the hood is built only thing that’s stock is the bottom end 1100hp full billet trans

      I've hit 50psi on the 467 and like 45psi on the 464

      6.7 cummins like the 1.0 better more overall flow than a .90. Spool is still great
