    This car seems to have let the world know that Aston finally has learnt how to make great cars not just great Aston Martins. The Valkyrie project was their biggest success and I can’t wait to see what they do in future.

    I wondered if AM would finish what the Superleggera started and what the V12 Vantage accomplished, and I'm glad they did!
    Thank you Mr. JWW for having the only coverage of this car I've seen!
    As far as the interior AM should do what the Audi RS3/Bentley Continental did:
    bring back a bigger hide-away touch infotainment with ONLY a pop-out selector wheel.
    Place the air vents at the bottom under the radio and climate control functions, then use display dials/switches and haptic buttons for them like in the newer Porsches.
    Then use a crystal glass and metal knurled drive select dial with keyless start display button to make-up for losing the infamous AM glass keyfob.
    This way they have a sleek, driver-focused, familiar but modern center stack that doesn't age horribly like an S-Class; now do that *immediately* for the whole lineup, especially the Vantage and DBX best sellers.
    *Grammatical errors fixed

    Finally Aston bring it to the modern "tech fest" world..... nearly (shame about the old school interior)!
    I suppose for a limited run, they didn't see the point in updating the inside.
    They'll already all be sold on looks, mark & rarity alone but hopefully it marks a sign of future modern top drawer driving Astons to come.
    Just hope the interior gets the treatment too. 🤞🏻

    Nice review as usual. It's a stunning car, no doubt about that, but I do prefer the looks of the standard DBS (no Victor inspired hood or wheels needed...). Those new seats look amazing. The center console however has always been a thorn in the eye since the introduction of the DB11. It's ok for a Mondeo...not for a + € 300K sports car.

    • @AI-qd4vb
      @AI-qd4vb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok for a mondeo... No wonder manufacturers come up with the shittiest of interiors nowadays when kids and influencers ask for touch and haptic crap... That center console is perfectly fine. On theme with the rest of the car and a clear evolution since the introduction of the DB7 and the new Aston age. Its sporty, elegant and easy to use with knobs and buttons for all important functions.

    I would like to see the DB12 (or DB11 facelift; whichever one it ends up being) be more of a track focused, track ready grand tourer. Lighter, faster, more precise, yet still supremely comfortable, refined and beautiful as ever. I would like to retain the communicative steering of the DBS tho, as opposed to a steering column that’s just quick like the Ferrari. Basically the main gist of what I’m trying to say is: the DB12 should be more dynamic and fun to drive in its driving characteristics without compromising the refinement that makes a great grand tourer in the first place

    AM’s the only brand I’ve had where 99.9% of people are lovely to you. Kids to pensioners stopping to ask about the car. Thumbs up, getting let out of junctions. No other brand has that reaction, the general friendliness and passion of others. That feeling of I’m happy being completely sensible and taking my time, being patient etc when needed and then drop to second and hear the V8 (in my case) and have some fun. Honestly it does everything right other than the maintenance bills haha. Constant “proper car” and “beautiful car” shouts as people walk or cycle passed. It’s boss. There’s definitely cars better on track but it’s still capable and quite frankly for one or track days a year who cares really. It’s how it makes you feel just going the shops and when a road opens and you set it and go.
