You need to get Damon and Dave in this car then maybe they will respect them a little more. I think this car actually looks and seems to preform like a super car. Much respect to Aston for this one.
Between the DBX707, new Vantage and Vanquish and others, Aston's been doing pretty well. Exiting cars, real dashboards, big engines, beautiful interiors...feels like having a break from all the terrible design we see from a lot of companies this year...
I think for me this is the first Aston Martin I’d say I would love to own. It sounds so angry and screechy when set to full tilt and sublimely calm when in poodle mode and also the looks and class to match it. Way to GO AM.
They should've upped the power to 900hp, and kept the back seats to make it a compelling choice over the 12Cilindri. A drop-top version would be a must too if they're serious about competing with it, though don't think there were any drop-top Vanquish models before.
Pretty stoked been I’ve been waiting to see a new video welcome back sir. Absolutely incredible video as always. Been a fan since you had the orange 675LT haven’t missed a video since.
The DBS Superleggera is still one of my favorite looking, and favorite sounding Aston, but this new car looks and sound fantastic. Glad to see ya back James!
JAAAAMMEEESSS... Great to see you bro. Love from Florida... Had no power for awhile From a litte from Helene & Then Milton head on 2 weeks later. Clean up still going on but we are good... As far as the Aston goes, GREAT vehicle, love the sound, more aggressive design from the last couple gens. I personally love the 2005 to 2010 Astons. Best design, varieties & sound... BUT this is gorgeous. That price tag, HEEELLL NOOO 😅 Great to see you back James. Luv
Good to have you back, was getting worried about you! For that price, I'd still rather have a Lamborghini or maybe a McLaren. From your review of it, I'd definitely opt for this over a Porsche or Ferrari.
@MrJWW Gorgeous all around with the cues to the One:77. Those seats fit more with the whole Super GT theme IMO, despite the limited luggage space. Sounds good, for a turbo. DCT would make it even heavier but better. If the body was FC that would fix it, but also increase the downside of the pricetag. Some complain it looks the same to the other Astons but that happens with every manufacturer. This, alongside an F12 or 812 and you have the best of both worlds. For a more lightweight and agile GT experience, maybe consider the McLaren GTS. Can't wait for you to get a proper test drive in the Revuelto, GMA T50, Utopia and W1. Missing your old school content, just driving your cars. Maybe restarting the Modern Classics series wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Wow, just Wow.That thing is just absolutely amazing. Thank you for bringing us your thoughts and feelings on such a wonderful car. I can't wait to see what other new content you have install for us in the future.
Not sure who this guy is but it’s the second video I’ve seen with him, and he’s reviewing. He’s very good and presentable. Great work and look forward to more. A bit too Posh British but like i said, well presented and spoken in detail.
Very well played on the edit, by far the most watchable one, some that have been released with by far many more subscribers are poor quality, you’ve done that car its justice!!
Such an UNBELIEVABLE masterpiece. The only problem with this car is i could never afford one.😢😢 Apart from that, it is such an amazing car for both sides of enjoyment. Well done, Aston Martin.
there's a reason valkyrie test drivers generally make grunt and hooting sounds more than most people. Aston Martin is really finding a second wind trying to distill that raw energy into the vanquish
Beautiful Aston, beautiful sound and beautifully presented James. Thanks as ever. A few observations: If there is a DB12 based DBS coming along, won't that spoil the Vanquish's glory a bit? Must be too similar a car to justify both, surely? Do they alternate across different generations of cars? Secondly, those rear seat cut-outs look like they are waiting for beautifully crafted bespoke A-M luggage for the full super GT continent eating capability, so the 'small' boot would be fine to cope with a couple of soft bags too. They must be on the options list? Finally, I cannot believe how much glare there is from the (beautiful) light tan leather over the dashboard. Whoever spec'd that colour didn't think about the sunny environment it would be tested in and how distracting it must be when driving. If nowhere else inside, I would have to spec black alcantara for that area of the interior to minimise the glare. Other than that, Mr Stroll's influence (or loosening of the designer's brief) on the last couple of models has got my attention back. Now where did I put that spare £400K?.....
James, first thank you for the video you have been missed. This Aston is absolutely amazing, the looks inside and out are amazing not to mention the performance and power. My opinion you are absolutely the best automotive reviewer around. I would really like your unbiased opinion on the new Ferrari. Again James thank you for your channel. I love that you can actually drive not like Smuck 150.
Will Aston make more extreme versions of this car like Ferrari will do with the 12 Cylindri? Assuming there will be a GTS, whatever the TDF/Competizione?
@@steven_taylor_ well yes but they have pretty much the same body lines. They could make an Aperta version, Comp, GTO, XX, etc. They have to start bland with the first model like every manufacturer that actually creates a new model and not a 50 year + face-lift/ slight power increase. Yeah the 12 C does look funky now but we have to give it time. See some new specs and even see it in person vs online.
@@MrSeanman30 I don't think Ferrari will be playing too much (in terms of making different variants) with the v12. The v12 is not a performance option in their current lineup of power train options, anymore.
@@steven_taylor_ true but I guess we will see. The SF90xx kind of came out of nowhere. Maybe Ferrari has mentioned it, but I wonder if the Icona Series like the Sp1,Sp2 and Sp3 will continue with the V12s or V8 since they aren't really for the mainstream Ferrari lineup

Like the review, and totally agree on the boot space being a let down, grand tourers should be able to tour, er……’grandly’. I’d like to have seen either this or the DB12 with a much bigger boot, maybe even a hatchback. It seems strange that the Vantage as the smallest, least touring focused car has the rear hatch. I disagree on your suggested interior spec though. I’m not a fan of alcantara, prefer Astons with classy/classic interiors
INSANELY GORGEOUS! I only have 2 issues. While I like the integrated infotainment screen as I ABSOLUTELY HATE the lazy just slap a tablet on the dash and call it a day look, the lower console looks off. A bit too much plastic around buttons that seem a bit too big. Don't get me wrong I LOVE THIS CAR. That lower console just looks a bit toyish. Like it has to withstand many play sessions. Still amazing! The other issue. This really needed to surprise 992 Turbo S owners. They both take off. The 911 owner goes to look in his side view mirror to see how fast the Aston is falling back but instead they see a Vanquish owner look them eye to eye. Just needs to be close. That's it.. at 430K before any option boxes are ticked I feel this needed to step up to the 911 performance zone.ff For as fast as the 911 is it still sounds like a vacuum cleaner 99% of the time.
