The Art style is so pretty, narration immersive and the combat system fun and engaging. A big bundle of fun.
Maybe only because of the demo, but lots of the art looks like taken directly from Hearthstone, ie. cards,character backgrounds, the book in the upper left corner
Goblin Slayer would have a field day in there!
It's secretly his favorite game, a game where goblins were just good people trying to live their lives. Instead goblins be out their rap in and pillaging.
And people dared to tell me Goblin Slayer was a bad person.
He would be the final boss of the game lol.

This reminds me of the many fun times I've had playing as Kobolds in Dwarf Fortress (Masterwork mod)
Just waiting for the game to release, although I'm happy with waiting if it means the game is fully polished on launch.
I am excited to see the progress they've made. Like you, greenskins have always been one of my favorite fantasy races. I just love me some goblins. I hope for this game, they let you move away from the round-nosed kinda aesthetic (through breeding), and get some pointy, toothy fierce looking ones.

My sister's doggo is the same, lab who will bork with his big MAN BARK when he hears outsiders coming inside, but the second they're in he's all "hey wassup I love you! wanna play?" It might be a lab thing. Thay're awesome.

Bro grandia style combat is hands down the best.
The moment you mentioned "framedrops on menus and UI" i instantly knew it's built with Unity. This is f..ing ridiculous to have all the same problems the engine had for the last 6 years.
I hope unity just dies at this point.

The mechanic It's like FO shelter, I really like it
Pretty sure that heal is rolled and then split between whoever needs heals. (first was a 6 split to 3 between 2 people for instance)
Favorite fantasy race is gnoll for me, love to see a game implement then even as a NPC.

Did anyone else have a different start to their demo than Splat? Mine started with a group already in the field with a quest started.

The adorableness of this game does NOT match the brutality of its combat. I can't decide if I like that or not.

i think the reason the hub is laggy is because its several very large pictures on top of each other, including animations
and i think all the rooms are on one large image sheet which gets included many times

is your demo nicer than what's on steam? It just has one mission then ends after you beat the boss. no base elements.
I like the art style, the narrator's voice, the way of playing too, but the difficulty is too scary for me, to consider a buy.

watching this at 0.75 playback speed is a lot better. The non stop really fast talking in a loud monotone voice is brutal.

About lagginess: did you tried disabling V-Sync? In some cases that may help ;-)
The demo you are showing here is NOT the one I have access to. What I have is just a long mission with a 'boss' fight at the end. No base building (you don't even see it sadly). Is anyone else able to play the one Splat is showing?
Wakey Wakey may have said 0 but it seemed to deal like 20+ dmg and did 30 dmg when the 7/7/7 guy crit.
Well 22 and 27 damage, but yeah, was confusing to have Splat point out that their hp went down and then go on to doubt it worked.

The new demo version .3.36 seems to only be two small areas. Can't try out any other features except combat.

I've given up on this game. It's really cool that you get to play it, but I'm tired of watching others play it. I want to play it myself, but they still don't even have an estimated release date. Time to drop this one on the "Ignore because never releasing" pile and move on.
You should try out s.t.a.l.k.e.r. gamma, its a standalone mod based on the anomaly mod. Its super awesome

The game is not the same in my pc... there is no Cave/Base... the game just jump to the quest and when ends... ends.. that is all, I cant move or modify anything, there is no base equip, colony, any of that... Is a bug or a cut version of the game??
The steam demo only offers a short preview of the game.

I tried the demo out. Its pretty for sure. I have yet to beat the trio when you start the new game. No matter what happens I just get destroyed! At first I thought it was a scripted fight. its not you lose its game over and you get a splash screen saying thanks for playing this is the end of the demo. I did not see anything you talked about Splat. I tried Bleeds, I tried stuns. Nothing seems to work. after several attempts I have beaten the dwarf, before I get wiped.
I'm having the exact same issue. Turns out I'm not playing the same demo version as Splat. He's playing .3.33, I'm playing .3.36. I have no idea why they changed it, as the only thing I can try is the combat and the terribly balanced fight against the three adventurers.
Please test Machina Blade, it's a new Indie Game on Steam.

Damn. I've downloaded demo, and got gameplay after your quest, when I followed that gnoll. WTF. Different game, and no base management at all.
The coverage of the Steam demo is much shorter than what is shown in Splattercat's video but we can confirm it's still the same game. :)
I always felt bad for goblins as fantasy players slaughtered them. Nice to see them getting some love.
edit: the new Demo i played has no goblin base, only a very short tutorial and a hike to drive off the Adventurers. Unless there was a button i missed or something.
One thing I would like from these reverse dungeon crawlers where you play the "bad guys". As long as there are other types of monsters to fight (rats, trolls, etc), to give the player the option to have a truce with the humans if he wants to and doesn't wanna kill them. Fighting bandits here and there is ok, but if you encounter a human party you could show them your truce papers and skip combat. You can even take bounty contracts from the human cities too (against bandits, monsters, etc).

Yeah there's no reason to see frame dips down to 15. Doesn't look like much going on there graphically. Fallout shelter runs better than that on my phone.

I was really disappointed when they replaced the previews demo with this one. . . I feel they did real damage to themselves with that move. . . I tried to show it to a friend as a promising game and he was like. . . I get it. . . long before he reached the base stage. . . It's really sad. . . I know people are excited but the first demo was much more "polished" than this one. . . Let's hope it gets better upon release.
Any gamer ok with less than 60fps, isn't a gamer.
