Same. All yesterday I was seeing comments talking about how they’re stuck on boss X or boss Y and having platinumed most FromSoft games, was responding to them with the obligate souls vet response “git gud” and then when I get home last night the wandering wight and fire stick guy had me farming mobs for extra sparks to beat them lol. I’m pleasantly surprised.
Same here, I have played all of Fromsoft, including Armored Core 6. It took me multiple attempts to beat the first two bosses. It gives me Nioh 2 vibes expect the fodder is easier to kill.
Eh, the optional bosses certainly get pretty tough, for sure. But nothing on the main path is any harder than any other challenging game. Hard enough to die a few times, and requires full concentration, but nothing too crazy. The "challenge" in BMW, is that the game expects you to really know the mechanics, and use ALL of them efficiently. You can't just learn just enough to go forward, and ignore half the mechanics to suit your preferred style. Liberally using charged attacks, perfectly time your spells to the enemy's attack, thorough exploration, etc; Definitely has way more depth than most Fromsoft games' combat, so it takes time and patience to really grasp. The optional bosses though: yeah, they get pretty F'ing crazy
Thank you for buying and playing the game on TH-cam. I’ve wanted to buy this game ever since it’s been announced, but I have been so burnt by early release buys. I’ve looked at it every day since it’s been released and today I am buying it!!! I really appreciate your channel.

I know right? That guys kicked my ass like 8 times, Cowboy beats it the second try. Would've beat it the first try if he'd had heals available. Legend.

The heal in resolute strike is very good when you start flowing with bosses the heal seems negligible but in reality having those few extra hits can change the boss experiences for those who can master that flow
I just had to laugh at the Big head mini boss😂 Apparently a lot of Chinese players spent a whole day fighting this dude... And then they were complaining on social media about how hard this game is and how they are being scammed 😂😂😂
Think I got lucky and flew past the big Baldy to the next shrine and saved. Went back and he kicked my ass. I then attempted the Wolf in the Temple and nearly got it first time, but died. Now all three bosses in that area kick my ass, but I’ve figured out that although you can’t block or parry (at least early game you can’t), I can use the spinning staff move to block attacks (not just arrows), plus it does some minor damage. Jump and normal, attack is effective, followed up by a charged up heavy attack. Just gotta persevere. If I can beat Nameless Puppet in Lies of P, any boss is possible. 😂
It seems like the focus points are only gained through basic attacks and actually gaining the point. Charging up to and using a heavy attack acts like as if there has been a point gained, but without actually getting one. So the heals will only happen while doing an instant heavy attack with a focus point already gained in order for the exhilaration ability to work
Yes and no. It’s just when you hold it to gain it, it is immediately released as a heavy attack when you let go, or disappear when you run out of stamina. Unless you get a new talent which means you automatically do a heavy attack. And all those words are just saying, it counts as focus point but you are also correct as only focus point gained through light attack can be stored as used in the light heavy switch deflect.
lol “no treasure behind the waterfall? Come on devs…” that was exactly what I thought when I passed that part. It’s almost an unwritten law the first waterfall you come across in a video game has a hidden cave behind it…
