I don't know, to me like it has more of a jazzy, relaxed sound to it unlike the JPN version that is very upbeat and erratic. I like them both, but I appreciate the US version more. It's easier on the ears.
@@Nitro_GamePlay The heavy baseline gives the song an air of determination. The second movement definitely feels more relaxed than the JP version, but it circles back to the bass-heavy beginning.
I feel like Sonic’s personality is diffrent in both versions of the game. Sonic seems like a careful, serious and more rational person in the US version, and in the JPN/EU version more reckless, cocky and always wanting action. Atleast the OST’s makes it seem so Edit: I know that Sonic’s portrayal of his personality is usually swapped compared to my comment in the two (or three) regions, the OST just made me feel otherwise
His artsyle seems like the polar opposite tho. The us being a more cartoony cocky and action while his jp art is more of a serious careful and more calm tone to it. Now that you mentioned it it's interesting to see the difference and the comparisons
I like how both of them make you feel like you’re traveling to another world, except this one sounds a lot more serious and almost mechanical like. I love it!
The US soundtrack sounds very focused, compared to the happy-go-lucky tune of the Japanese soundtrack. I like that. It's like he doesn't have a lot of time on his hands. The hog is on a mission.
I love this theme because it sounds like the music is wordlessly telling you “you certainly found your way to a crazy world, but never forget you’ve got a mission in this alternate realm, and you’re on borrowed time”
This is one of the songs which I love in both tracks. JP version has the Wacky feel a lot of the tracks in JP has. US version has a calm and atmospheric theme. Both are amazing.
I don't care what anyone says, but I really like Sonic CD. Having a more explorative game with some chill music (if you're playing with the US soundtrack) can be a nice way to have some fun. Also, these are my favorite Special Stages in all of the Classic games. I feel like it's the most unique and satisfying to complete.
I enjoy a lot of things about CD, but I'm not the biggest fan of its stage design. It kinda kills it in just about every other aspect that I'm more than willing to forgive its shortcomings, but there're other games in the series I'd rather play
0:55 the part I never get to hear because I always Run out of time Maybe the game hates me and doesn’t let me hear my favorite part which is probably why I also can never get a good future

Special Stages (or known as Special Zones) are a series of seven extra levels. In order to grant access into these Zones, Sonic will need to have at least 50 Rings or more to make a Gigantic Ring appear near the end of each act. The objective in the Special Stages is to chase down and destroy all U.F.O.s (or Flying Saucers for short) for each one scattered throughout the land. If Sonic The Hedgehog can do this right before the timer is up, then he will be rewarded with one of the seven Time Stones. Like destroying all robot transporters in the Zones, obtaining all Time Stones will automatically change each Zone Bad Future into a Good Future.
Everyone is saying the JP one dosent fit. I GUESS, but this still gets those times where i cant concentrate. Also this sounds like the background instrument for the JP one wich would be the main instrument. Imagine that?
This track is kinda more grounded that JP. Maybe Sonic is being tricked that he is an alternate dimension, when he is really in a elaborate illusion arena built by Robotnik to lure the Time Stones away from Sonic. Or maybe use the Stones Robotnik already has as bait to beat Sonic.
@@faded9581 However, the special stages are optional, so how did he build Metal Sonic in playthroughs where Sonic never jumped in the big ring/ never got 50 rings?
@@drthvrdr Well it's a game about different possible realities, so the Metal Sonic that Sonic fights is likely from just one of numerous possible futures. This is backed up by the fact that Metal Sonic is always fought in the future, not present or past.
Is it just me or did I JUST now notice that one of Metal Sonic’s legs is golden yellow? Edit: Oh wait, it’s just the engine making it appear yellow. Never mind.
