I like the camera, but two things I really dislike is that the HDMI port and memory card access are on the bottom of the camera. If you use a tripod, one has to detach the camera from a tripod to get access to the memory card. AND because the HDMI port is on the bottom you can't use the HDMI when the camera is on a tripod . It is also impossible to connect via wifi on my latest iPHONE.
I love this camera but for me the biggest issue is not having a bracket for a mic or a light on top center. Having to use an attachment to hook lights or mic to top is an extra step. As for the wifi I dont really use it but I believe the camera can connect to wifi on its own. Amazon has additional tech specs from sony. @@TUXXREVIEWS Sorry I meant BT so I can transfer images over to iPHONE. I also use OBS Studio with my other cams, but since the HDMI port is on the bottom of this camera it's impossible to have the camera on a tripod and hooked to an HDMI cable over to the computer. Really crazy design.

It's not as bad as the OP is making out, but there is glare bouncing off the camera all the time which often leaves it looking very dark at times or too bright at others, and quite a few instances of getting lights directly reflected off the LCD and directly into view. This video is old, so perhaps you've changed your approach to lighting slightly anyway :)
If you wanted a hot shoe mount should of gone for the hx60v - I’ve got that and it’s amazing the only reason I’m getting this camera I because it can shoot raw. If you don’t need raw files then the 60v would be better for you
