Jong Uy deserves a compliment and a Like for this post. There is just so little real world review results of the HX99 on You Tube. The indoor and night outdoor is very fuzzy. Not sure the best settings were used , as my HX90 does such video better. Not great like my Sony A6100 of course, but I think some bit better than this. I have an HX 99 coming tomorrow, and was going to sell my 90, but now not so sure. I'll compare and post a further comment in a couple of weeks.. PS: I tried the Lumix ZS60 and the ZS100 a couple of years ago.. The 60 is comparable to the HX90, and the ZS100 is only better in low light, but not as much as I had thought. The ZS100 lacks the zoom range, and to me that makes it a no-no. So I stayed with my 90 until I got itchy again a few days ago and sent in for a gently used 99...lol.
So how did you find the HX99 vs HX90 in low light/artificial light when zooming/recording video? It's kind of ridiculous in a way we're still stuck with these models as the best of the superzoom range.. I was considering upgrading my HX20V 5 years ago to one of these.. but instead just got an import HX30V (for 60fps) back then
Sony should update this camera seriously. A new gen HX99 with better sensor and auto focus, maybe a little bit sharper lens. And sturdier body of course.
@@ClineBrats If you are filming, you can still use the audio coming from the camera as this has a built-in microphone, the audio you hear while I am talking on cam is from the built-in microphone, it is not that good quality, but is useable.

YES!
Omg I think I need this camera for my upcoming game this year
The zoom is something you aren’t going to get with a smart phone, even in 2022.
Is the Sony wx800 alike hx99?
Thanks for the informative video. BTW nice soundtrack - what is it please ?
Hi Oliver, thank you. I downloaded this on one of TH-cam's Free Music, sorry I forgot the title of this one.

LUMIX ZS70
Canon SX740
low light video quality and focusing on the sx740 is far worse than the hx99
night video is awful
