@@mozockEBBecause Buzz Buzz was too late to save Ness, and the Earth as a whole, from Giygas' corruption. Ness is just gone, all that's left is his shell being used as a vessel for Giygas influence and power.
The sole reason Earthbound is essentially G rated is because we killed Giygas before he could do anything. Id be shocked if a giant psychic rage typhoon didnt do something like this
I like how immersively helpless the concept/video(s) of Buzzbound really make the viewer feel; Buzz Buzz does have some pretty powerful PSI and gear that would definitely help him get through many of the enemies and obstacles of Earthbound, but here, he really is just a beetle that *barely* keeps scraping through fights against enemies that are all pushed to their max. His mission was kind of hopeless from the start with that perspective... But Poo will avenge him and everyone!
The way the video itself shows the game breaking the 4th Wall emphasizes how overwhelmingly powerful & omnipresent Giygas has grown. Buzz Buzz stood no chance of realistically winning in that scenario, the best case as shown in Lumpy's video was him taking out the vessel to prevent it being taken over by Giygas and then fleeing the timeline.
@@infinityheart_tm9270I do like the idea of there being a hidden time limit of giygas fully possessing ness and the ship running out of power and getting destroyed
51:17 Man, this track is really good. It feels like it could fit into a space opera-like story. I can imagine the narrator saying “This… is Earth. Once a beautiful sunlit world with a massive population, it now stands decaying and covered in a shadow of evil energy emanating from a creature beyond our comprehension. Now, the only thing left of this planet is Giygas.”
The fact "this track based from MOTHER 3" feels The obliterated future by Giygas was looks like as the tragedy of another future after Giygas was defeated. Ironic
Okay. I think I see how to get a Good Ending here. Rather than beelining for Ness' house, go to Pokey's house first. This will either have something that convinces him to keep going, or something that buys him some time, possibly both. It's unlikely he'd get some kind of cure. It wouldn't make sense for the tone of Buzzbound. Struggling onward despite the hopeless situation? That totally fits. My guess is that he encounters a member of his family at the house, or what's left of them, and becomes angry enough to want to go down swinging at Giygas, even if he doesn't have much time. This, in turn, allows him to use the Devil Machine Gun, as his arm is steadily being corrupted, and may outright make entering Ness' House not a Point of No Return. Presumably, his friend not being dead helps Ness hang on a little longer. Ness not being fully absorbed yet, and having actively cleared out the Overworld Monsters, rather than leaving the job half-finished, means that the Apple doesn't immediately come under attack when it's cloaking fails, allowing Buzz Buzz to summon it for a similar escape as in the Good Timeline, especially since Picky holds off Giygas using it's own power against it, even as his body falls apart from the strain, though Buzz Buzz still sends the Sound Stone off to try and find someone from this timeline to keep fighting. Then again, Poo might simply sense the conflict, a human rebelling against Giygas despite falling prey to it's corruption sounds like it would really rile him up. If you grind like a madman, enabled by the Devil Machine Gun's incredibly power, sufficient to one-shot most of the game's enemies, and beat the giant shadow monster, you can get a better ending, the True/Perfect Ending where you beat back Giygas enough to make it temporarily subside with Ness no longer able to serve as a vessel, or at least temporarily out of commission. Buzz Buzz remarks that they lack the power to finish the job, and decides to head further back into the past to prevent this mess from ever happening, leading to his canonical appearance. Though Level 99 Buzz Buzz might not go down in one hit, as unlike the 'Good Ending' he's not at the brink of death, which could dramatically change the story. Meanwhile, Bad Future Picky heads off to look for survivors in hopes of defeating Giygas directly, his own corruption slowed almost to a halt by his defiance and the psychic scar it left in Giygas, eventually encountering Poo, and tells him what Buzz Buzz had told him about the Sanctuaries and Dark Dragon. He agrees to help Poo, which makes Poo's journey much easier, as Picky is, despite his condition slowly deteriorating from Giygas' corruption, an extremely powerful character by Earthbound standards, especially since he can wield Giygas' own power against him and his minions. Picky would likely have a mechanic similar to Tellah in FF 4, where he gets weaker over time, maybe even losing Levels outright in direct contrast to Poo. Poo laments that he can't shield Picky, since the corruption is already inside him and the latter's only lasted this long on the back of willpower and personal animosity towards Giygas. From here, the True Good End would likely have the Future Giygas and Past Giygas beaten in a manner that reflects or even influences the other, allowing Picky and Poo to arrive in the healed timeline that results from besting Giygas at both points in the timeline. The Bad Ending here is that Picky succumbs to his corruption, or leaves Poo to avoid turning on him should that happen, and Poo fails to best Giygas by himself, allowing Future Giygas to aid Past Giygas, preventing Ness and co. from beating his past self. The Devil Machine is able to transmit it's influence across time, why not Giygas himself?
@@dyl_pickle16-mta48 Alternative idea/Easter Egg, Porky's room doesn't contain a memento of Porky, as you already fought his ghost, though the black shadow might show up outside his house too, but it does contain Rock Candy and an unlimited supply of Sugar Packets, as well as a regular Earthbound enemy or two, which Buzz Buzz wonders about, speculating that something is preventing it from being twisted like everything else has been. Picky comments that Porky always did love putting sugar on everything, even candy, which is the game's way of hinting at what you're supposed to do, as the Sugar Packets are positioned closer to the door, and are coded to always fill all but one of your Inventory slots, leaving the remaining one for the Rock Candy. The idea is that, rather than grinding the old-fashioned way, you are intended to abuse the Rock Candy glitch. Watsonian explanation is that Porky hoarded candy and sugar, and it's benefitting you now, which a sentimental person might say is Porky's ghost trying to atone for helping Giygas. Which would suggest the actual game's Rock Candy glitch is either legacy code or... something potentially more nefarious. Anyway, the 255 cap is still a thing, the game just stops your Stats from going up once you hit 255 rather than rolling over, as a minor courtesy for what's likely to be a long grind, even if it's faster than leveling the conventional way. This wasn't done in the proper Earthbound game because the Rock Candy glitch wasn't meant to be present. It's not enough to beat Giygas/Dark Ness by itself, but it is enough to beat almost anything else, which lets you get a bunch of special equipment, including facing off a Boss that you had to run from before entering Porky's room, which gives Picky the motivation to keep going when they get to Ness' house.
I posted a vaguely similar idea (likely buried in the original's comment section) that the rest of Onett doesn't seem to be physically blocked off. Rather than beeline for Ness's house and assuming there isn't an invisible barrier where Buzz refuses to stray from his mission, it should be possible to take a detour into Onett proper and possibly even Twoson and the surrounding areas. If Nintendo made a new Earthbound game or DLC that took place in an alternate timeline where Giygas won, this crazy hack is the closest we’d ever get to seeing it.
As someone who hears the original soundtrack on a near daily basis (part of my driving playlist) it was fun to recognize all the different base songs and sounds present. I almost wish this was a genre of music so I could find more of it easily :P
8:21 Pokey means loneliness actually makes alot of sense thematically here. If Giygas wins before the events of Earthbound takes place it would make sense that Giygas has no use for Pokey if he already possessed ness. I honestly think this ending for him is just as disturbing as him being stuck in the Safe Capsule.
I am both filled with excitement and fear that one day some cool group would decide to make a legitimate rom hack of your version of the scenario.. I don't believe any Mother fan would be prepared for some of the atrocities that would be created and witnessed on a personal playthrough..
Honestly, this is exceptional work, my friend. This whole project was inspired and inspiring. I could listen to Last Pulse of a Broken Heart as a standalone especially, if i were to request one. Fantastic job all round.
God this whole Buzzbound fascinates me so much and I wasn’t even an Earthbound fan (only got into it when someone close to me used my name for Poo) That fuckin Homeraider thing, idk what it’s called and im too afraid to look back at it is literally the scariest thing about this whole stuff imo. Creeps me way the hell out
YEAH!! Even though this video as a one off is perfectly reasonable and works, I really hope to see more of this... I guess AU? Giygasified Earth has such a amazing aura to it. Again it's like a creepypasta but it works within the rules of the per-established game.
"I miss you" yeah I miss you too Ness, its a shame you became a ball of evil that made a bug go insane to the point even after death it still was suffering...but hey at least you still you're happy. yeah buzz buzz was a real one, poor dude.
I honestly really wanna know what the tall shadow creature is supposed to be, at first i thought it was four legged but seeing it more clearly it looks like a strange gieeg-adjacent looking entity
A fading presence felt like an emotional hit to the gut, the feeling of a loss of a friend and the only thing you see are their memories but the person is long gone. And you're left with little to no hope after the fact.
The battle themes for Dark Ness including the “I miss you” clip makes it sound like it’s the one semblance of humanity he still has, and with each progressing phase, it turns from Ness’ humanity struggling to hold on, to a nonsensical phrase of madness equivalent to Giygas’ ramblings in Earthbound proper. Also, am I the only one who also hears a voice saying “I’m sorry” during Sad Ness Emerges?
i've commented here before, but after listening to it more times than i'd like to share i can say this is some of the hardest OST i've listened to it fits the atmosphere, the mood, everything fits together neatly and this music is the tight bow on top
44:42 Holy Hell, is that the "weird bell sample" sound only exclusive on the Mother 1+2 gba port? I for sure thought I was the only one who played around with that sound when I found the Mother 1+2 soundfont a while back since that soundfont must be only known by like 3 people. Crazy I happen to actually find it in use here.
Genuinely some one of these songs are really unnerving but damn are they good for being a fan made sequel to lumpy touches original video you cooked with the ost especially the ending theme damn is it good
41:06 This is just “You’re fucked. You’re more than just fucked. You’re already dead.” The song. It’s feels like stumbling into the primordial evil you were hoping to not find in place of what you’re actually looking for… the dread that soon follows when all hope is lost sets in as your way out is destroyed.
The best kinds of Horror I love in games are Psychological ones, it helps a lot when the game in question ISN'T meant to be Scary. The soundtracks of Earthbound and especially the ones near the end edited by you fulfill the satisfying morbid curiosity these games give me, I DID miss you.

Has anyone noticed how this version of BuzzBound by BGZ elevates the original concept of Mother 3's betrayal of the player to its most literal interpretation? It really makes me wonder if this concept played a big part in this version.
Also, is the names of the levels in the debug menu is the names of fortune parts of Buzzbound? So if that is true. Then the next part is Paulacult, which I guess is focused on Paula as the main villain.
I was actually thinking it showed other parts of the story from different POV before Buzz-Buzz arrived, as they have location names for places BuzzBound hasn't visited yet.

While Dark Ness' lair has trumpets that are kinda funny, they still do an amazing job of creating a scary atmosphere. You do not belong here. It seems like your death is inevitable and all you can do is to just walk towards it, hoping that it'll be quick.
46:48 I MISS YOU I MISS YOU I MISS YOU I MISS YOU 🗣️🔥‼️🙏🏾💯🗣️‼️💯💯🗣️🔥‼️🔥🔥
Eminem's been real quiet since this dropped.

Gigyas : *Looking at Earth*
Gigyas : Too much ?
Starmen : Yeah
If Nintendo made a new Earthbound game or DLC that took place in an alternate timeline where Giygas won, this crazy hack is the closest we’d ever get to seeing it.
As someone who hears the original soundtrack on a near daily basis (part of my driving playlist) it was fun to recognize all the different base songs and sounds present. I almost wish this was a genre of music so I could find more of it easily :P
Woah-oh-oh-oh-ooooooh
The Story of Buzzbound
@@MutedAndReported3032 NO
NOOOOOOOOO
Lol
the power of christ compels you
i fell from the apple
50:18
Just realized that Buzz Buzz is in the background, pretty sad fate tbh
Buzz Buzz was absorbed by the darkness…
The biggest violation I’ve ever seen in a character execution. Poor Zarbol…
The absolutely safe capsule’s still worse than this fate
@@RealK0medianNo its not. Eternal suffering is worse than eternal boredom.
Frankly more sad than his fate in Mother 3...
who up buzzing their bound
Me. I am the one who is buzzing their bound
I’m over here strokin my buzz
Im over here strokin my bound
im over here strôkin my buzz
I be bounding my buzz
The starman coming to the future to destroy buzz after he got beaten by buzz is so cool. I always wondered what happened to that specific starman.
Yo, the "I miss you" at Dark Ness unbound is just so unsettling...
29:34 Battle against a Sinister Machine is my fav track here by far
I am both filled with excitement and fear that one day some cool group would decide to make a legitimate rom hack of your version of the scenario..
I don't believe any Mother fan would be prepared for some of the atrocities that would be created and witnessed on a personal playthrough..
Honestly, this is exceptional work, my friend. This whole project was inspired and inspiring.
I could listen to Last Pulse of a Broken Heart as a standalone especially, if i were to request one. Fantastic job all round.
I appreciate how the soundtrack is all gloomy and foreboding but then you have absolute bops like 23:10
God this whole Buzzbound fascinates me so much and I wasn’t even an Earthbound fan (only got into it when someone close to me used my name for Poo)
That fuckin Homeraider thing, idk what it’s called and im too afraid to look back at it is literally the scariest thing about this whole stuff imo. Creeps me way the hell out
I think you're talking about the Householder
47:50 - Me when I'm told to "smile for the camera"
I really can't wait for the next part of Buzzbound.
GLORIOUS, THE SOUNDTRACK IS IMMACULATE AND NOW I CAN LISTEN TO IT INDEPENDENTLY! MASSIVE W
YEAH!! Even though this video as a one off is perfectly reasonable and works, I really hope to see more of this... I guess AU? Giygasified Earth has such a amazing aura to it. Again it's like a creepypasta but it works within the rules of the per-established game.
It stays true to the spirit of it, somehow.
Woah, I actually didnt think my message would go through... Anyways now I have me some quality tracks to listen to separately, thanks a lot!
This is why I listen to at night to sleep weller
"I miss you" yeah I miss you too Ness, its a shame you became a ball of evil that made a bug go insane to the point even after death it still was suffering...but hey at least you still you're happy.
yeah buzz buzz was a real one, poor dude.
I literally just finished watching the buzzbound video and this appeared lol, awesome animation and OST!!!
Much obliged for giving us these frightening audio treats!!!! May the .. whatever or whoever can defeat Giygas and Dark Ness bless you.
I honestly really wanna know what the tall shadow creature is supposed to be, at first i thought it was four legged but seeing it more clearly it looks like a strange gieeg-adjacent looking entity
Maybe it’s the titular “Shadow of Giygas”. Giegue from Mother 1 is still Giygas, just pre-body destroying insanity.
I really love Last Pulse of a Broken Heart 💔
49:43 You can see Buzz Buzz to that blue form of giygas...
Oh thanks so much for making the soundtrack available to download, always kept on going back to this video to loop some tracks!
Yes I've literally waited all week for this!
Also, am I the only one who also hears a voice saying “I’m sorry” during Sad Ness Emerges?
i've commented here before, but after listening to it more times than i'd like to share i can say this is some of the hardest OST i've listened to
it fits the atmosphere, the mood, everything fits together neatly and this music is the tight bow on top
Sad Ness's face is totally similar to that of Claus possessed by Gyigas, I like the reference
Dunno, Happy Ness looks like me when I'm told to smile for the camera.
@@CindytheRedScout Ness looks very cute when he smiles tbh
Otherworldly Revenge and Battle Against a Sinister Machine: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
this will tide me over until the eventual sequel
44:42 Holy Hell, is that the "weird bell sample" sound only exclusive on the Mother 1+2 gba port? I for sure thought I was the only one who played around with that sound when I found the Mother 1+2 soundfont a while back since that soundfont must be only known by like 3 people. Crazy I happen to actually find it in use here.
Genuinely some one of these songs are really unnerving but damn are they good for being a fan made sequel to lumpy touches original video you cooked with the ost especially the ending theme damn is it good
Also whatever the Giygas thing is at 16:40 makes me curious it’s like a dying Giygas spawn that’s what it looks like to me
Not just fan made; BigSharkZ actually *worked* on the original lumpy touch video, romhacking in all of the gameplay footage!
Finally, was just looking for a vid like the this the day before it was uploaded.
41:06
This is just “You’re fucked.
Guardian of the Abyss sounds really groovy here
I have no idea why, but I love Pokey Means Loneliness, it is definitely a favorite for me
Thank you very much man, this is amazing!
35:21...that would have been the "bad end" music for a long, grindy journey I was on long ago - had things gone poorly in the final moments (thankfully, that ended up not being the case.) Thanks for the hit of nostalgia with this short remix.
Oh yes!!! I was greatly waiting for this. Thank you, bro!
YESSSSSS I HEAR THE MUSIC SOOO GOOD
NICE! Glad to see this finally here. Keep up this great work, you actualy got me re-interested in Earthbound.
Thank you very much for this. I loved the soundtrack they used and was hoping somebody would upload it sooner or later
Thanks for upload the soundtrack Bigsharkz.
Excelent work :D.
38:38: YOU CANT RUN
Oh hey! I guess he did release the soundtrack! Awesome!
When BigSharkZ drops a new video, my phone Bound to Buzz.

Will you make a continuation of this story? It's too interesting bro
Yes He will

Has anyone noticed that "Last Pulse of a Broken Heart" is actually just a remixed version of "Rainbow Cemetary" from Castlevania SoTN?
In "mother earths last chapter" is a remix of long shadows and if your the type of person that loves mother earth (our planet) this piece of ost can make you shed a tear
Buzz up babe, bigsharks released excelent music.
it would be pretty cool if you uploaded all of them separately in a playlist
Starman Prime's/Otherworldly Revenge's background has 3 colors: Blue, red, and yellow. This actually represents the colors of PSI Freeze, PSI Fire, and PSI Lightning. Pretty neat.
or, get this, it’s a cool background…?
@@guniverse.5847 That too.
PK Delta α🤔
@@guniverse.5847 He has those elements incorporated into his design as well so this comment does make sense. Theres no need for you to be so snide about this.
@@Quarckster yeah, that’s what I said. I said it’s a cool background, what’re you on about.
Edit: also this is not a detail the creator made anyways; this background im pretty sure is a slightly altered version of one used in EarthBound.
Poo, we have a lot to do for our world now. Chances may be slim, but I know you can do it.
Dude, youre a saint.
Thanks!
buzzbound - shadows of giygas rom
Just like in Earthbound, the amount of music for the length of the game is kinda nuts.
29:34 Peak
True I just came for this mix it's so dirty
Has anyone noticed how this version of BuzzBound by BGZ elevates the original concept of Mother 3's betrayal of the player to its most literal interpretation? It really makes me wonder if this concept played a big part in this version.
I need the pic of the creepy looking Ness from the menu screen
Also, is the names of the levels in the debug menu is the names of fortune parts of Buzzbound? So if that is true. Then the next part is Paulacult, which I guess is focused on Paula as the main villain.
I was actually thinking it showed other parts of the story from different POV before Buzz-Buzz arrived, as they have location names for places BuzzBound hasn't visited yet.
@@TheRedJadex I really like that idea, especially if we find out what happened to Jeff. Because the is the only main character that doesn't show up in the first part and I would love to know what happened to him in this alternate and dark timeline of Earthbound.
I for one am very interested to see what the Paulacult is all about.
@@praisethecarpainter1025 I am with you there, I really want to see what exactly it is about and what happened to Paula in this dark timeline.
It could also be a weird cult about paula, seeing as none of the heroes knew of the danger, maybe the people here made some cult thinking paula would save them or something.
I felt Bad for Buzz buzz:(
