Just finished watching this wonderful video. It will blow your mind. The Bible talks about signs and wonders, this shows them to you. Amazing video. Must watch every year in December.
The real answer is the star of Bethlehem was a spacecraft that the people of that time called it a star, that's why they could follow it to the city. People really don't think about our Heavenly father coming down from heaven. He is our eternal father and he loves us. Yes I agree . It's mind blowing. Bcuz it's yet another example and more evidence of God's existence and sovereignty. I wonder what else we may be missing that the stars have told us.
The interviewer said that the star signified to the shepherds where Jesus was born. Well, actually, they got the good news from the angel. The Gospel of Luke speaks of shepherds and angels, no star. The Gospel of Matthew speaks of wise men (magi) and a star, no shepherds.
The Magi arrived after Jesus was already a few months old. Luke's narrative of Jesus's birth suggests strongly that his account is likely from Miriam (Mary) herself. Matthew Levi's account is likely to remind his Jewish readers of the strange and bizarre arrival of the Magi to Jerusalem - an event that caused much embarrassment to King Herod and bad tidings of perhaps even war throughout Jerusalem. Matthew records that the presence of the Magi "troubled" both Herod and "all Jerusalem". Matthew thus speaks to the times that his readers would recall around Jesus's birth whereas Luke speaks to the intimacy, strangeness, and glory that only an historian might glean from an intimate source who was there. It may well be the Magi arrived in December or January months after the Saviour had been born.
Thanks so much for bringing the Star of Bethlehem to light! So many people on TH-cam believing that celebration of the Incarnation in December is pagan.

This is a response to the original video post "The Star of Bethlehem Documentary 2007." Imagine the Earth being hit with stars, then a THIRD of them as referenced by Revelation 12:4. These are fallen angels. DANIEL 2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. I do agree with Mr. Larson with his view on the correlation with the Magi and the prophet Daniel. But using Philo as an inspired source is dangerous. It lies outside inspired cannon. This should be treated as a conjecture. At 23:07 he "corrects" the translation. Why? Does the Bible have an error? If these wise men (the number we are not told) journeyed from Babylon; would they not travel in a large contingent to defend themselves from anyone on the road? They had gold, and frankincense, and myrrh! Why was All of Jerusalem troubled? Was all of Jerusalem there listening to the discourse between the wise men and Herod? Sounds like they had a large group of visitors from Babylon and did not know why.

You're not going to believe me but when I was around 10 years old on Christmas eve (morning of Christmas) I was awaken by a brilliant light shining through my bedroom window. I looked up an saw what I believe was the bethlehem star. I was not dreaming nor in any trance. I was awake and asked my brother who was in the same room to come look at it but he refused to get out of his bed which was in the other side of the room. I can tell you the star was brilliant and bright in the shape of a cross. I felt great warmth and peace come over me while gazing out my bedroom window. It was as if the star was speaking to me. I sat there in my bed gazing at it and amazed how bright it was. It wasn't a little star as you see in the sky today it was a huge star in the shape of a cross. I felt as if god was speaking to me and telling me how happy he was with me and wanted me to understand how blessed I was to have witnessed it. I will never forget that night. I now know I was given a gift to have seen it and for what reasons I hope to know one day. I told my parents in the morning (Christmas morning) but everyone felt as if I was dreaming but I wasn't. Till this day i do stay up late Christmas eve with hopes of seeing it again but I haven't. I still remember the outline of the cross and how big and bright it was as it glowed in the sky. I'm 48 years old today and I think the year was between 1977 to 1980. I don't specifically remember what exact year but sometime between those dates on Christmas eve. I have googled to see if anyone has witnessed the same but cannot find one person but sure I'm not the only one. It was an truly amazing experience that I will never forget. I thought of going to see a hynotist in hopes of them to relive that moment in great detail and maybe draw a pic of what I saw. I may still do that sometime this year. I hope you enjoyed my story. It's real.
First of all,December is “NOT” Yeshuas birthday. He was born around the end of Sept, first of October. How do I and many others know this? Because we read,no study his word. Please understand that Fathers calendar is not the world wide used Gregorian calendar implemented by non other than the Roman Papacy. Fathers calendar goes by the moon. The moon is basically the light in the sky for “seasons and times”. If you read carefully the Bible tells you when Elizabeth was pregnant and how far along. Using that knowledge one can add up the months from when Mary conceived and then go 9 months later. Which is pretty much the 7th month of the year, around the time of the blowing of the trumpets give or take. Another thing. Not once are we commanded to observe his birthday. As written, we are not to observe times, man made traditions. Dec 25th is actually the birthday of either Nimrods or Tammuz the sun god and also intergrated into Christianity by the Roman papacy. ,which can be read in Ezekiel 8. Where Yahweh is showing him the abominations that the lost tribes of Israel are committing. The women (churches) weeping for Tammuz. In Amos chapter 5, Father clearly and plainly explains that he hates, despises “our” solemn assembly’s, our day of thanksging and the burnt offerings (grilled or oven baked) and he will not smell the aroma. He will not hear our music ect. Then there’s that last line that speaks of us (not me) worshipping the “star” of our god. There’s a difference between his feast days and ours. Not being mean, but rather telling the truth and what Father has to say about these abominations.
If, it is true that the Star of Bethlehem was the 3rd brightest light in the sky (visible even during the day) AND that, it was continuously positioned directly above Bethlehem at all times.....then, it could not have been a star OR a planet. For that to have happened the "object" would have had to have maintained a specific stationary orbit around the Earth and directly over Bethlehem. Any object further away (i.e. planets, comets asteroids and stars) would have traveled across the skies never remaining in the same place for long. Just saying.
TURIEL333 I wouldn't be so quick at dismissing this theory. The film that Mr. Larson produced provides the strongest case for what the "star" of Bethlehem actually was that I have ever seen. 1) Where did you learn that the "star" of Bethlehem was visible during the day? 2) Why do you say that it was directly over Bethlehem at all times, because it certainly could not have been according to the Magi's travels?
+NotOfThisWorld567 I don't understand people. They speak and don't think about what they are saying. Did TURIEL333 even watch the video? Of course not. Why are there not numerous atheist postings protesting this? Because it's astronomy, it's mathematics, it's science and it's indisputable. Do you hear that NotofThisWorld567!..........crickets......crickets.......
Jesus was born on Sunday, March 1, 7BC, in the latter reign of Herod the Great. Herod died in 4BC. The Star of Bethlehem' was not an astronomical or cosmological event. Joseph, (Jesus' father) formed an alliance with Theudas, the head of the Theraputes. The 2 in warrior mode gave themselves titles drawn from an OT verse. Joseph was the 'Star' (of David), & Theudas was the 'Scepter'. The West Manassah Magi were a priestly caste of Samaritan philosophers, which were founded by Menahem and later led by Simon Zelotes. When they 'followed the star' they were agreeing with Joseph that a new Davidic king had been born. Because they recognized him as king, they were accepting him as legitimate.
One thing that Larson doesn't explain is how the star "came to rest over the house where the child lay" that one thing disqualifies his very profitable explanation.
Dobbin Burkhart i think it is a poetic device...the star was over the child AS IF it stood still. Many instances in the Bible of poetic language. A conjunction of venus and jupiter would look like one light for days. If they followed the star, it would have been up there for more than a day.
@@rapunzelz5520 At their closest approach during that time frame, Venus and Jupiter were two lunar diameters apart, while that might be dramatic looking, nobody would have considered it a single star. I am quite convinced that Larson is wrong and that a better explanation is needed. With every other miraculous event associated with the Nativity Account (3 angelic visits, 5 dreams, 5 prophetic utterances, and the virgin birth), why do people feel that it is necessary to shoehorn in a naturalistic explanation when the Star HAD to be miraculous to accommodate its behavior? Are we to explain away all of it including Mary's pregnancy naturalistically also?

@@tvjdabarkad Five months after Apophis hits the Earth Jesus will return on the Feast of Tabernacles in the 6000th year of Earth's history. This will be on the 24th of September 2029. Revelation 9 1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for FIVE months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. 7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for FIVE months.
Star of Bethlehem 12/21/20 conjunction of the planets. i want to share. 12+21= 33. And 12+21+20= 53 1+2 dec =3 and 21 2+1=3. 33 Christ has died at 33. So Christ was born, then he died, and finally risen. It All connects. Last number 53 is his purpose and is why is came . To save us and hes coming back to save us again! The Star is visible right now!!!!, saw it this morning.... BIG and BRIGHT. Could this be prophecy coming true - Revelation 12:1-2 - More stories on 23 September 2017.
So sorry, but I don't agree with this explanation. This guy does't explain HOW a conjunction of planets can single out one particular house where Jesus was. A ufo can do this but not a star or a planet. Even the most intelligent of people can be fooled.
so exactly what blows this guy away? another elusive video selling a book--that's not what we're to do with information that will bring others to Christ...our sermons are to be free
You shall not muzzle the ox while it is threshing says the Bible in the context that those who preach the Gospel may make a living from that as that is their work. It costs money to film, produce, edit distribute a film.
...okay and the collection plate is passed before or after each Sunday sermon...do you leave it empty? The better question is whether YOU will support this gospel presentation with your own treasure or resources..
iconaclastor As a teacher of biblical scholars for 40 years I have never heard a biblical scholar who thinks the story is true. The message of the bible is not the same as the narrative, most of the bible is not factual.
TheOnlyOneKingElvis aside from the mostly poetic and symbolism of the scripture it is historically accurate and divinely inspired and bears that revelation from the prophetic content including numerous fulfillments of such. Jesus was born in Bethlehem and that is mentioned in several biblical references but also in the historical record we find such sattements as this from Justin Martyr who was an early church apologist who wrote in his Dialogue with Trypho about Bethlehem of Judea being the birthplace of Jesus in two places. In 34.1 he wrote, “And hear what part of earth He was to be born in, as another prophet, Micah, foretold. He spoke thus, ‘And you, Bethlehem, the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah, for out of you shall come forth a Ruler, who shall feed My people.’ Now there is a village in the land of the Jews, thirty-five stadia from Jerusalem, in which Jesus Christ was born, as you can ascertain also from the registers of the taxing made under Cyrenius, your first procurator in Judea.”

It's real.

I enjoyed your recollection very, very much. Thank you for sharing it Joe and let me know if you do the recall thing.
The Star of Bethlehem is the Seventh Sister of the Pleiades going Nova in Taurus just like it says in the Bible
Just did a quick amazon search, didn't see your documentary listed, Rick...are you sure it's the best selling documentary?
It might have been in 2013 when this was published, or some time after 2009 when the DVD came out.
Looks like you posed the question in 2016 --while the interview was done in 2013. Don't you think a lot can happen in 3 years on Amazon?
+NotOfThisWorld567
I don't understand people.
@@shoeshineboy5869 Why aren't atheists posting in opposition to this? Because it is unbiblical, so their master wants this story promoted. That's why.
Anyway to get Rick's email?
PEOPLE NOT ONLY DON'T TAKE THE BIBLE VERY SERIOUSLY, BUT, THEY ALSO DON'T TAKE GOD SERIOUSLY ENOUGH!
The SHEPHERDS saw the star? Where did she get that?
Remember this is CBN
Oh I have a picture of it.

Revelation 9
1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth.

How do you know this?
So sorry, but I don't agree with this explanation. This guy does't explain HOW a conjunction of planets can single out one particular house where Jesus was. A ufo can do this but not a star or a planet. Even the most intelligent of people can be fooled.
DNA
so exactly what blows this guy away? another elusive video selling a book--that's not what we're to do with information that will bring others to Christ...our sermons are to be free
Biblical scholars do not believe Jesus was born in Bethlehem, archaeologists have shown it was abandoned at the time
iconaclastor As a teacher of biblical scholars for 40 years I have never heard a biblical scholar who thinks the story is true. The message of the bible is not the same as the narrative, most of the bible is not factual.
TheOnlyOneKingElvis
aside from the mostly poetic and symbolism of the scripture it is historically accurate and divinely inspired and bears that revelation from the prophetic content including numerous fulfillments of such. Jesus was born in Bethlehem and that is mentioned in several biblical references but also in the historical record we find such sattements as this from Justin Martyr who was an early church apologist who wrote in his Dialogue with Trypho about Bethlehem of Judea being the birthplace of Jesus in two places.
In 34.1 he wrote,
“And hear what part of earth He was to be born in, as another prophet, Micah, foretold. He spoke thus, ‘And you, Bethlehem, the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah, for out of you shall come forth a Ruler, who shall feed My people.’ Now there is a village in the land of the Jews, thirty-five stadia from Jerusalem, in which Jesus Christ was born, as you can ascertain also from the registers of the taxing made under Cyrenius, your first procurator in Judea.”
iconaclastor The nativity is not true, trust me
TheOnlyOneKingElvis
i do not trust you but the biblical narrative, I do.
iconaclastor then you are a fool, I bet you think Mary was a virgin.
