Fortunately it's no longer standing or even operating and hasn't been for a number of years now. Unfortunately it's creation resulted in the destruction of one of the best and most unique dark rides to ever have existed (in my view)
Growing up, Rick Baker was one of my heroes. Obsessed with horror movies, I wanted to grow up to work in special effects. Except I became chronically ill and became unable to pursue my dreams 😢
Honestly, 'Female Figure' is the most unsettling thing in this list to me. The fact that it looks directly into your eyes while doing its thing is deeply bothersome. I wouldn't like it if a regular person was acting like that...
@@apocalypse.is.near.Also a short lived animated series! Based after the idea of hockey and ducks… they were alien mutant duck warriors that played hockey. It was a… thing… that existed… 😅😅
I’m glad you mention Kothoga from the Relic! A movie that a young me should have watch at the time but you’re at your grandmas house with basic tv, you’re stuck with whatever is on that isn’t just the PBS cartoons. Anyway, he needs more appreciation.
Consider this: the Lou Reed video was considered too disturbing to be shown often on MTV during the same time period that Herbie Hancocks “Rockit” was frequently shown. Let that sink in. I was a child in that era, and grew up with those music videos, Labyrinth, Never Ending Story and Return to Oz. You owe me a burger.
Good, well designed animatronics can really make for a great haunted attraction or even movie. It's also cheaper than actors in some situations because animatronics don't need wages, they don't need to be made up and put in costume before your haunt opens, and they're scary even if we know what they are thanks to things like FNAF!.
I don't remember the brer rabbits ride at ockwood, it was Jakes gold mine I remember. A pitch black ride with a cheap spider Web effect, which stunk like mold.
Honestly found number 1 more funny than creepy, mainly because thanks to Monty Python I can't look at any kind of three headed monster without thinking of the three headed knight who continually argues with itself over who ate the biscuits...
The Relic is one of my favorite books, and while I have some not so great thoughts about the movie adaptation I have to say the Kothoga design they ended up with is absolutely incredible and beautiful while also being horrifying. Highly recommend reading the book if you like supernatural horror or detective stories.
The animatronic shark heads made for 2 Headed Shark Attack always stuck with me. Not only because they looked goofy as shit and the teeth were gigantic but also because they weren't used correctly in the movie itself so in several scenes where the cast gets attacked by the shark you can see that it's only 2 severed heads and no body.
6:08 I saw the dragon last summer and I think it's really cool and I like that you also mentioned this dragon in the video on this TH-cam channel and it is located in Germany
Really love your videos. have been watching them for a quite some time. The last two seemed to have some rough editing.... cutting off some of the animatronic stories you wanted to tell and obviously worked hard on. Not sure what happened. Everything else was really interesting though.
Hopefully the animatronics that were lost and or abandoned eventually are saved and get the respect they deserve I'd killed to be able to own an animatronic and save it.😊 I swear one day I will I'm getting better at robotics everyday it's small robots right now but maybe one day I'll buy animatronics like this save them and restore them I would love that
Love the video as always, but maybe find some synonyms for the word "terrifying" in the next write-up. Give words like, "unsettling," "disturbing," "mortifying," or "chilling" some love!
also, I'd like to point out that the Licker in the first Resident Evil movie, does not transform after eating human flesh, why?, cause it doesn't in the video games.
That’s a Jason costume, Walt? I thought it was a badass Mighty Ducks goalie mask 😂 I like that idea a lot better because you’re a duck and it fits, and I Mighty Ducks mask is way cooler than a Jason mask in my opinion lol Edit: you owe me a 🍔 😁
I am not afraid of the dancer. I feel like I've seen that look in several of my family members' eyes. I come from a long line of insanity. Lol I have megalophobia, and the baby one probably frightened me the most.
Who's ready for the spooky season?
Me 🎃
Me! I love spooky season
I ammmm! :D I can’t wait to decorate. I’ve already planned My costume for this year and a whole month of scary movies! 🥳👻🎃🕷🕸🕯
@@Gr1mm_Ch41 whatcha gonna dress up as?
@@hillaryryan8294 Female Ghost Face :) Me and My bf are gonna match this year
The fluidity of the Dancer animatronic is astonishing.
It would be awesome if they made prosthetics with that kind of fluidity. It's really impressive
I feel like Disney spends more budget on hiding their shame with fancy facades than they do on their rides.
Heyooooo
That bunny ride is still the most unsettling thing I’ve ever seen 😬
Fortunately it's no longer standing or even operating and hasn't been for a number of years now.

I love how you made a custom design to fit the shape of Walt’s face. It’s really cute🦆🦆❤️🦆

The ultimate nightmare fuel animatronic is that one of Pennywise holding a kid with a ripped off arm. That still messes with me
I know the hockey mask is supposed to be like Jason’s but I can only see Mighty Ducks 😅
No, sorry. Mighty Ducks? Dude, what?
@@TheIndependentLensit's an old Disney movie about hockey players
Dud I thought I was only one to think it looked like that😭
@@BretteSpencer y’all just be sooooo precious!

The Dancer is a Disney level animatronic. It's so lifelike that it's genuinely unsettling.
the giant baby animatronic is creepy, but it's impressive to see what all went into making it!!
Okay but, like, that’s totally the mask worn by the leader of the mighty Ducks, Wildwing, from the mighty ducks cartoon.
You owe me a burger. I watched the segment without feeling uneasy, I thought the music video was cool for the 80’s.
The Dancing witch one is probably the best Nightmare fuel.
You stare at her, she stares right back.

You want bacon and cheese on that?
So this comment had me look up the "Rockit" music video, and I'll be honest, I regret it, LMAO.
@@YourFriendlyOnlineStranger Saaaame. I made it only 20 seconds into Rockit and had to come back here to agree 😂
@@YourFriendlyOnlineStranger you’re welcome. 😂
Walt’s costume is so cute, he’s a great channel mascot
I'm just watching this, but I DO love that Jason duck mask and the wonderful spooky decorations in the back! How creative 🧡 Happy spooky season! 👻

I had to go back and check. That's so strange!
Yeah
"Worst Dark ride in the entire world" - Obviously not been on the Castle dark ride at Gulliver's kingdom in the UK 😂😂😂
I don't remember the brer rabbits ride at ockwood, it was Jakes gold mine I remember. A pitch black ride with a cheap spider Web effect, which stunk like mold.
Yeah.
Jake's mine was much better
If the Animatronic is lost have a look round the Lost and Found Places
Someone found Hoggle from Labyrinth in One
He was Mouldy when He was found

That Mortal Kombat movie has such a special place in my heart ❤

Finally !!! U MENTIONED THE CREEPY MANNEQUIN GOBLIN😂 I have the slowed version of blurred lines on my phone because of that video.
Erm. Guys, that’s not an exoskeleton. It’s on the inside, so it’s just a skeleton.
that mask he was wearing looks more like from that old animated series, The Mighty Ducks.
Love the Jason Mask ❤
You should dress up as Donald duck :3 ❤❤❤
If they're rebooting Resident Evil, they better do Leon right...
I don't want him to change, I love him just the way he is! ❤❤❤
