- Here's an exclusive interview from game developer Micah McGonigal (mystman12) about the creation of his viral hit Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning!
Special thanks to Micah for helping us with this interview. We were hoping to have this ready a little sooner to coincide with his recently concluded Kickstarter for an expanded version of Baldi's Basics, but alas, we've been busy. You should check out the Kickstarter anyway:

(We were also hoping to get this video done while the Baldi phenomenon was still at its peak, but oh well...)
Our time talking with Micah has revealed that you don't always have to be a seasoned gaming veteran to create something you can be proud of. Baldi's Basics was thrown together over a two week period, as Micah slowly learned how to use the Unity game engine.
In spite of this, it really struck a chord with gamers around the world. It's wonderful to see a game like this get so much attention, and we're really excited to see what Micah comes up with next!

Thanks for watching! There might be a bit of a delay before our next video, as it's going to be a (really!) long chalkboard affair. We're looking at around 40 minutes. But, it's on the subject of game piracy, copyright, and ROMs, so we wanted to give it the full time it deserves - it just means it'll take a long time to finish!

Two fun facts :
-Despite being called Baldi, he's not really bald.
He has ONE hair.
-His first Baldi More comic was a rip-of of Brawl in the Family(as MystMan12 revealed while showing some old comics on Twitter).
I actually somewhat knew Mystman12 before he went on to create Baldi's Basics. I had participated in the SmileBASIC community for some time while he was active. When I learned that he had created Baldi's Basics, it was quite a small world moment!

He did well for such an early game too. One can see how the original has flawed, but its given him the time and money to work and improve and make his project better. Its always been funny and original, but now its becoming geneuinely fun and well made
