    Thanks a lot for the install video and review, guys! It's awesome to see Rick playing with our kit! Love the torque to spec, "click", like we have all done before ;)

      HAAH thank you! And I was seriously impressed by this kit. The car I installed this one had a popular firewall reinforcement kit on it, and after the install of the humble rumble kit he started to notice more popping/clicking sounds. Well I thought I had messed up the install, started to diagnose it only to find out it was the reinforcement kit moving ever so slightly when loaded and unloaded. He wanted to keep it so I tightened everything up for him and it's been perfect since. :) And oh yes, I only use the most advanced in tooling technology, and this one was a new one called the "click-less" torque wrench. If you ever see me tightening anything in my videos, im using the click-less type, and always to factory specs of course ;)

    Wow! This looks a lot easier than what people describe 😅

      Yup! One customer did the full install in 45 minutes!! I don't think I could beat that :)

      Yeah think if I did it again, and was not filming, I could knock this out ultra quick. I honestly thought this was going to be way harder going into it, and after the first one was done I was like.... wtf, this was supposed to be hard LOL.

    Surprised it took this long for a kit like this to be offered.

      We released the kit last February, and have picked up a ton of traction since then, but if you have GR friends, please help spread the word :)

      I think sometimes it's easy to overlook the real solutions to a problem, and often it might take a couple of products that don't work, or don't work well enough for someone to see the problem for what it is. In this case humble rumble absolutely killed it with this product, even down to the quality of the hardware.

      Surprised Subaru didn't fix their problem

    Worked. My workshoop installed all 6 screws. Now the clutch feeling is like news and no noise anymore. Expensive set, but I can recommend it !

    Lol factory torque spec "click" lmao. Great video and nice how to.

    Is it litterally just those 2 spot's? I thought it was going to be more than that. I just started getting some clutch peddle squeak in my hatch and was thinking about taking it in to subaru.

    where did you get that fancy ratchet with a pass through for the hex key?

    • @mdean1129
      @mdean1129 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most autozones sell them, usually around $40 for a full set (rachet and various metric sockets) :))

    Do you think this would help if there is already a small amount of tearing on the firewall? 3 of my spot welds broke and it started to tear. I know it wouldn’t be a permanent fix at that point but hoping to get some relief on the spot that has torn.

    • @rallysportdirect
      @rallysportdirect  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would certainly help and * should * prevent the firewall from tearing even further as you would now be taking the stress off the firewall skin.
      Thanks!
      Rick

    I have had a squeaky clutch on my last car (Toyota) they tried to fix/tighten/lubricate never fully went away...
    07 Impreza clutch squeaks
    08 LGT specB *sometimes*
    Is this literally what's happening every time? That metal is warping/flexing from persistent pedal pressing?

    • @HumbleRumble
      @HumbleRumble 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mike! I have seen a couple of cases of LGT's with the same failure. They have 8 spot welds that need replacing though! Hit us up if you need extra hardware!

    • @gwot

      This is one of the problems. The Subaru also has a clutch/brake assembly with cracked welds that makes noise

  • @bankruptsee
    @bankruptsee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Oddly enough, it seems like a bunch of these are failing right now, just around the 10 year old mark for these cars.

    • @rallysportdirect
      @rallysportdirect  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's a big problem that even Subaru admits too. There are a few "fixes" but most are just a bandaid to the real problem. Prior to this kit some people were welding the firewall and that certainly works, but it is very labor intensive, where this kit can be done in a few hours and 100% fixes the problem for ever. Thank you!!
      Rick

      @@rallysportdirect Yeah I ordered this kit to fix the firewall, but also ordered the ITS pedal bracket to completely transfer the load off the firewall and onto the steering column.

    Now I found the bigger problem. My pedal cluster snapped in half.

  • @Jabbrony

    I took my entire dash out and still had a hard time getting bolts past the insulation

  • @Supernova69PyRo

    Can this issue cause us to not be able to shift while driving? I got stranded in my wrx sedan 2009 and had to push it by myself into a speedway parking lot.

    • @jvock6
      @jvock6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes... Yes it can. This is the exact reason I found this page as well. I did a test on my car to make sure that was the cause and just used some Aluminum Rivets and the car shifted and ran just fine again. It looks like this kit has been discontinued unfortunately... So im being sloppy and trying steel rivets.

    • @Supernova69PyRo
      @Supernova69PyRo ปีที่แล้ว

      @jvock6 subiespeed has it but I think it's almost 2x the original price. I could be wrong but I'm ordering this ASAP 🥺I miss my rumble.

    • @jvock6
      @jvock6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope it works out. I ended up doing 3/16 steel rivets bought at the hardware store 😂 . worked like a charm it's nice having the car back for nice weather and I might make my own firewall brace as well

    • @Supernova69PyRo
      @Supernova69PyRo ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I hope so bro thanks for conformation that this is the problem because I already replaced the clutch master & slave master cylinder.

  • @Jabbrony
    @Jabbrony 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No way you just pull the bolts through the dash that easily. The firewall insulation wouldn't allow that

    • @henrytong7569

      I just did it right now. Got the first one on the first try. The second one on the second try. No cap lol
