Yeah, I think Canon may have discontinued it or something because it was almost never available even before 2020 lol So, the Raeissup has been coming in super handy! I hate the Kapaxen brand disappeared as well. Those worked really well! Glad me being myself translates well to camera lol I actually get complimented on that quite a bit these days lol Welcome to the Community as well!
It does actually, but the instructions for that are on the pamphlet they provide with the AC adapter. Since all battery banks are different what I've found to work best across all the different kinds I have is use the port that has the higher amp output of 2.4A or so. Anything less than that and it tends not to be enough to power the camera. I've found this to be true on my Sony cameras as well when running them off a battery bank for long recordings.
@@DianaGladney That was my question too. I actually wanted to use the M50 for live-streaming on Twitch. So, yes, plugging it directly into the wall is my ideal set up. Does the Canon kit have that option? I did check Canon's website and the Canon AC Adapter CA-PS700 is backordered indefinitely.

So glad you took the time to make this video. Very helpful. I already had the third-party battery adapter, but what I did not know was how to close the battery door. Also, you mentioned going "directly" into the camera for audio but you did not say "how" you did that. Was it XLR to 3.5mm? Thanks again.
The camera only has a 3.5mm headphone port but it doesn't allow for the camera to access that while live streaming on the Mark 1, you'd have to get the M50 Mark 2 and then you can use the microphone port on the camera while live streaming.
Oh yeah for sure! I had one for my G85 and have 2 for my a6400 as well. I actually caught a steal on the sony branded adapter on amazon they were marked used since they were out of the original boxes but they were never used and still in the plastic for half the price lol I really wonder if Sony will still drop an A74 amidst all this that's going on since they're consolidating the camera devision into a new company structure and what all feature that will have. I'm just glad the a6400 has it natively built in to run off a power bank. That should be standard in every camera! And side note, why do you have 3 different camera brands? lol Inquiring minds want to know lol

Thanks so much Joseph! I have had so many times early on getting that buzzing mic noise and it's super annoying lol From the sounds of it, looks like you've had your share of that experience as well I'm guessing?
Hello. I am a new You-tuber and I purchased the camera Canon EOS M50 Mark II and I needed a power adapter for this camera and didn't want to pay over $50 for it. This video was very informative. I also purchased a Comica CVM-V30 Lite video microphone that connect directly to my camera and its on its way to be delivered. I hope I got good equipment. thank you for this video
It always pays to get the manufacturers branded adapter when possible. $50 is cheaper than a $300 repair bill. It happens more often than you might think. I’m not sure how the microphone you purchased will work but hopefully it works out for ya!
YES!!! I actually bought this the week after I got the M50. That daggon battery that comes with the M50 I swear last like 30-45 minutes LOL But that battery bank with power plug is nice. My ONLY complaint is it makes putting your cam on a tripod interesting. I leave mine on the tripod mostly indefinitely for convenience. I just hated having to take the cam off the tripod every 1-3 days just to charge the battery. You'd think Canon would think about these things when they manufacture this stuff LOL
You would think, but they don't lol Maybe now they will with later models but I won't hold my breath lol So, the ONLY workaround I've found as far as the battery door issue is two things. The first one is if you're using an Arca Swiss plate system, you can get one of their smallest plates that will allow you access to the door even on the tripod. OR if you're using any other kind of plate system, I've seen people mark off how much space they need to fully clear the door but maintain the integrity of the overall plate and saw off the bit blocking the door lol. I decided to not get the arca swiss plates because I prefer to snap in my quick release plates but those are the only two options I've found.
Hi thanks for this video. I recently got an m50 and was researching some options for continuous power. I saw someone comment on another video where this brand messed up the camera. Does it still work for you? Thanks
I can definitely understand your concern. I’ve had the Glorich brand on Amazon fry my M50 before smh The Raeissup brand has worked well not only for the M50s I used to own but also for the Sony cameras I currently use as well. Neither of the cables I’ve used for the M50 ever gave me any trouble and I still have them.
I haven’t tried Wasabi but they’re usually highly recommended so it works. The BMs I eventually tossed due to swelling over time. I did a dedicated video on batteries for the M50 if you want more details on the ones I’ve tried.
This video actually wasn’t filmed using an M50, it’s the Sony a6600. However, what I’d recommend is settings wise is you can record 30 frames per second, set the shutter speed to 1/60 and depending on the lens you use set the aperture/f-stop to the lowest you can and your ISO to what is best in your environment depending on your lights.
Good stuff, question I have a m50 and I have a photobooth and I want to be able to charge this the whole time while in use, what would u suggest? Thank for the advice and great vid
AC Power adapter if you're near an outlet and won't run the risk of the cable being the way or unplugged. If you think it will, go with the battery bank option but make sure you get something with a large enough capacity to run you through the day.
@@DianaGladney thank you for your reply, so i know im being dumb here, but im going to buy one on amazon, what should i search AC power adapter for Cannon M50
Hi there! Great video. I bought the Raeisusp connection but am super unsure how to get power going on the camera. Do you have any links on Amazon UK to know which battery pack to buy? Thanks in advance!
Yep! The Sony a6400 does have an AC power adapter. You can use the Sony branded adapter, that's what I use: amzn.to/3Enevp7 - There's also a 3rd party option by Gonine: amzn.to/3pLPWhE
I JUST bought a Wasabi Power version of this kind of cord and dummy battery. I've used their 3rd party batteries before and my camera was fine but now I'm wondering if I should've got the one she recommended...
So update, it works fine, but you just have to be careful with touching the wire that connects to the dummy battery. I've had it turn off several times when I've accidentally handled it "too rough" I suppose, but it works well otherwise! If you push in on the bottom of the camera where the wire connects to the dummy battery it's like a "restart button", it'll turn the camera back on if you accidentally hit it. I think it cost about $30, so not too bad for that!
Glad the video was helpful for you! Yeah, unfortunately the Kapaxen adapter has been unavailable for a long time now. Not sure it may come back in stock.
Diana Gladney - EntreWoman TV the official canon adapters are also nonexistent. I appreciate you taking a chance with these third party options. Helps give me peace of mind.
Lol yeah it’s tough choosing random brands but it’s all we have lol. The Canon one has been spotty even long before everything popped off so it’s hit or miss with them being in stock too.
@@DianaGladney I was able to order it directly from Kapaxen just now. We'll see. I've also been reading that Canon has discontinued the official adapter. That doesn't make much since because it is one of their newish models and very popular, but that's what I've been reading. I'll try to remember to come back and let you know if it actually ships. I did get an order confirmation.
Nope. The battery door closes completely because there’s a cable door built into the battery door. If you’re using a quick release plate like the Ulanzi Quick Claw, you have plenty of space.
Not sure if you’ll see this, but I see a lot of people saying the dummy batteries shocked their cameras. I’d be fine just using the power cord with my real canon battery, right? I don’t plan to even put the dummy battery in. I’m considering the one sold by Raeisusp
I had that happen with a trashy one by one brand but that’s why I can only recommend these two that I’ve used for over a year with heavy use and no issues. Not all these companies care about selling stuff that won’t fry your camera but I’ve had 0 issues with these though.
Depends on which power bank you use. I’ve never killed a 10,000mAh battery bank even when doing an all day shoot. If you think you might exhaust that much in a day, go with more than 10k.

So, the ONLY workaround I've found as far as the battery door issue is two things.
I’ve had the Glorich brand on Amazon fry my M50 before smh
The Raeissup brand has worked well not only for the M50s I used to own but also for the Sony cameras I currently use as well. Neither of the cables I’ve used for the M50 ever gave me any trouble and I still have them.
@@DianaGladney ok thanks....viewer from Trinidad & Tobago
My pleasure!! 😊
That's awesome! Welcome to the Community! I had a mentor that was originally from Trinidad 😊
I bought a dummy battery and it works amazing for my Zoom classes. Thanks for the tip how to connect through the hole in the battery cover.
+Albert Fransz That’s awesome, glad it’s working for you!
Nice sound!
Thank you!
If I want to buy 3 party battery wasabi or BM which one is better. Please advise
I haven’t tried Wasabi but they’re usually highly recommended so it works. The BMs I eventually tossed due to swelling over time.
I did a dedicated video on batteries for the M50 if you want more details on the ones I’ve tried.
Thanks for the video. I just got this camera for streaming. what settings do you recommend so that the picture looks clear like your video?
Lol everything’s linked in the video description already.
Great Video I must Confess. Good. I have an EOS M50 Mark ii and Canon 250D. WHat will you recommed.
Thanks! The batteries are the same in the Mark 1 and Mark 2 for the Canon M50 so the power recommendation will remain the same as shared in the video.
@@DianaGladneyGladney And for the 250D Camera. Will Raeisusp still the best Option
@@unclesamo I’m not sure for the 250D or what battery that camera takes.
@@DianaGladneyGladney Thanks Alot for the time.
@@unclesamo Sure thing!
Hi there! Great video. I bought the Raeisusp connection but am super unsure how to get power going on the camera. Do you have any links on Amazon UK to know which battery pack to buy? Thanks in advance!
Glad the video was helpful!
So, I don’t have at the moment but I’ll need to check tomorrow and see what’s available.
@@DianaGladney Thanks so very much!!
Any other tips to remove the buzz/ hum from using power adapters?
Nope, that’s pretty much it. You never want to cross power cables and audio cables. Audio can be weird like that so just keep them separate.
Diana Gladney - EntreWoman TV Thanks so much for the info! 🙏
Can u tell me
i need one like this for sony a6400 need good one plz ?
If what you have is working for you, keep using it. 😊
@@DianaGladney We'll find out when it gets delivered lol
So update, it works fine, but you just have to be careful with touching the wire that connects to the dummy battery. I've had it turn off several times when I've accidentally handled it "too rough" I suppose, but it works well otherwise! If you push in on the bottom of the camera where the wire connects to the dummy battery it's like a "restart button", it'll turn the camera back on if you accidentally hit it. I think it cost about $30, so not too bad for that!
Thank you!
My pleasure!! ☺️
You have a great voice!
Thank you!
Great review. The top link is not available. I want you to get your commissions.
Glad the video was helpful for you!
Yeah, unfortunately the Kapaxen adapter has been unavailable for a long time now. Not sure it may come back in stock.
Great info! I've been wondering how to get unlimited battery power for my M50. This was helpful.
My pleasure!! ☺️
The kapaxen one is sold out so I’ll go with your other recommendation. Thank you so much and have a great day 🙌
Yeah I don’t think the Kapaxen one is coming back in stock anymore, unfortunately. It’s a shame, it’s a great cable!
Thanks for the info, I’m look for usb battery option for my m50 that can take wall power also.
My pleasure!! ☺️ Then that second option I mention by Raessieup will be the one to get to do both.
Just ordered from your Amazon affiliate link! Thanks for the help!
My pleasure Christian!! 😊
Diana - does the dummy adapter interfere with a tripod foot?
Nope. The battery door closes completely because there’s a cable door built into the battery door. If you’re using a quick release plate like the Ulanzi Quick Claw, you have plenty of space.
Thanks. Great video, by the way - exactly what I was looking for.
My pleasure!! 😊 Glad the video helped 💯
great video! is it safe to plug to the wall and do you get any hum noise if you plug an external mic while using the Raeisusp?
Angel Freak I never have gotten a hum noise with it. I mostly use it with battery banks though but in a wall adapter it was fine.
@@DianaGladney great thank you. loving your channel!
Thanks Angel! Glad you’re here! 😊
Will it work if I plug it into my computer?
I’m honestly not sure, that’s not something I tried when I was using it.
Diana Gladney - EntreWoman TV thanks! Was it the cord or the dummy battery that shocked your camera is what I’m trying to find out.
The cord. The adapter part from this brand called Glorich made a whining type noise and it was gone. The dummy adapter was never a problem.
Diana Gladney - EntreWoman TV okay, thanks for your help!
Sure thing!
How long does the power bank power the camera for and what is the power banks capacity?
Depends on which power bank you use.
I’ve never killed a 10,000mAh battery bank even when doing an all day shoot.
If you think you might exhaust that much in a day, go with more than 10k.
@@DianaGladney Thanks so much for your reply, Diana! I appreciate you! xo, Aurora
