same bugs, different year. Do they not understand the concept of merging fixes back into the '24 codebase or what.

To explain why I tweeted it. I was sweating Spain and I thought it would be easy to get within the 1.10s… only managed a 11.3 with the RB. The moment I switched to alpine I instantly drove a 11.1 with a lap that was way worse. About 50-60 people saw it live on stream. I put that on my team and we had some engineers looking into game data… they then confirmed it. Try it around Spain maybe. Not at the moment where you switch cars yet… sometimes alpine felt way worse but was fast 🤓😂
In '23 and now again in '24? It's like you've been saying JD, the entire coding of these games needs doing again from scratch. But I bet we're not going to get that until 2026 I'm afraid.
Easy solution... EA just make it available all F1 liveries as they used in Sim racing event. With this, they can ensure equal cars. There will always be differences based on car design.
Their brain is just not competent enough to find a fix even though there is one. Such an incompetent developer considering the price of the game every year
They made the 23 game perfect, idk how they can mess up this bad on 24. The creators in the trailers for sure got told to pretend to like the game.

I wonder why can't they just use FOM chassis for online races with real liveries (it's not like they don't already have the models already), would save them tons of trouble.
Wow, thanks, I thought I was losing my mind over the weekend trying different cars in TT.
To code different gear ratios sounds like a too stupid mistake to make, which makes me think maybe people are misunderstanding the code. Perhaps those are adjustment factors that makes the initially different ratios to become identical after applying these adjustments? Could it be something along those lines? 🤷🏼♂️
Codies not learning anything from previous iterations and still up to their old tricks? Doesn't surprise me at all!
As you may remember, I used to league race on these games back in the day (2010-2014). From what I can recall, each title had this exact same issue, to varying degrees. This is nothing new.
I get that it's an issue for all the E-Sports guys, but for everyone else, it really shouldn't be. After all, it's 'just a game' and it's meant to be fun.
Curious though is Alpine the best car for solo play like a custom grand prix where equal performance is turned on?
I think you should've gone back to RB after improving time with Alpine to see if after another switch you'll be losing time
After realising that I have to shift up earlier then the sound from the Red Bull would tell me, there was no difference between the cars on my Pace.
How do you know? You can't drive the same laptimes that consistently to know...
What are the quickest car then ?
I am actually hosting a 3 round cup before our league racing season is going to start and with the equal cars debacle of F1 23 I decided to use the FOM 24 car just to be sure😂
Just looking at the RPM limits I knew right away the equal performance option is really good for nothing

Didn’t even buy this years game but that is an unreal level of incompetence for this to be an issue year after year.
I stopped buying the F1 titles after 2021. 2020 was the last game that was even ok. And that game had its issues I give it a 6/10 rating. F1 2021 was a step down from 2020 and its just been downhill since then.
The difference is next to nothing, so little in fact, it's just negative knit picking
I don't understand that in testing they don't just duplicate inputs and see if all "equal cars" actually drive the same times, it should be incredibly easy to spot differences like this...
why do you play on playstation if youre using a wheel anyway?
I dont know, I had no issue or any weird feeling. Granted I've always (since F1 2019) ran the Alpine (or Renault back in the days) on TT just because of the sound and looks of the car. So no difference for me
Alpine paid off EA to make their car faster. They needed to find some way of being able to make their car fast.
But all the people are only complaining. I haven't seen a single positive vid about that game so far
Im not even playing the game right now. And i say this as a person who has played almost everday since 2019. I buy the game to leauge race, and have been doing that since 2020. But this game is sooooo BAD. Absolute piece of shit game. The handling is absolutely awful. Im just not having fun on it. Until the fix thr handling im not going to play.

So, ok, there are different gear ratio, but where these data taken from the folder in which there are the settings of the equal performance cars? Or these are the gear ration from real car and then there’s another file for equalize the performance?
Car are no exactly equals since the beginning of times on f1 games. Some years differences where worst, some were better. For example 2012 was a disaster. But there have been always been some slightly differences between equal performance cars.

very happy i didnt buy F1 an carried on with iracing, people saying iracing is a lot of money which i agree with but you get what you pay for and its showing massively
I mean, you completely miss the apex on turn 3 with the RB, so you accelerated later than your lap with the Alpine.
Same for the turn 4, you lost a lot on acceleration with the RB.
I'm not saying they are equal, but those arguments are a bit Silly.

Why do the cars sound like bees buzzing around your head in this game? They don't sound anything like in real life. The real life cars sound terrible. But this is even worse.
At this point if you’re dumb enough to keep buying f1 games it’s on you. Game has been trash for years, if you are in esports pick an earlier version that actually has equal cars

ai is way too over powered ..the ferrari feels amazing but cant enjoy a career mode unless your red bull
