I thought you are funny and you did pretty good job, I am looking for rectangular sleeping bag because I toss around a lot, but many reviews said its comfort temperature is around 20 degrees, I need it for sub zero temperature so most likely it won`t work for me, thank you for the review again.

I have this bag in the rectangular -10 option and I LOVE it! a bit heavy for backpacking, but perfect for camping.

These are definitely on the heavier side, but for the price/weight/temp. they’re a pretty good budget or first time backpacker.

I’m a side sleeper. I’ve been looking into the zenbivy sleep system but this is half the price. How well did you sleep in this? Did it keep you warm? Feel any drafts?

I am a side sleeper too! I slept really well. There was a couple of cool spots, but nothing to keep me from sleeping. I used it in 32 degree weather, and I used a decent thermal matrass, and I wore wool socks and pants. For the price, its a great bag.

So I have been looking at the other model(multi down hooded rectangle) simply for the fact it would hold my pillow in place.

put a water bottle with hot water in the pocket. It will act as a mini heater and it will give you something to drink thats not frozen in the morning.

Oh my gosh, that’s a GREAT idea! I’m going to try that next time I take this bag out! Thanks for the tip!

Loved your review. I'm like you. I'm brand new to backpacking and have been going nuts trying to figure out what to buy and what not to buy. One suggestion I can make. Don't forget to look into buying an insulated sleeping pad. I bought one that you have to blow up. It's much lighter than the self inflating types. Good luck with your channel.

Hi, it’s great to connect with another newbie! Great advice about the pad! I just got one that I just tried out recently so I’ll be posting a video review of that one shortly. What sleep system do you use out in trail?

@@couchpotato2summitpeaker78 Hi Emily. I've done a lot of car camping in the past with very cheap sleeping bags and was always cold and uncomfortable. I plan to do some backpacking now so I bought a foam pad to go under my air pad which is an ECOTEK Hybern8 4 season pad. My sleeping bag is a Snugpak which is only comfort rated down to 37F. I don't really have any plans for camping in colder weather just yet. If I do I will invest in a down sleeping bag like the one you bought. I also plan to try a tarp instead of a tent. I'll see how that works out.

I just tried out that pad. That will be my next review. Let me know how your first trip goes.

@@couchpotato2summitpeaker78 I checked out Macy's after you mentioned them in your review. I decided to buy one of those Omnicore down bags. The price was too good to be true. I also bought a North Face Stormbreak 2 tent. It got great reviews on TH-cam and I think I feel more comfortable sleeping in a tent rather than under a tarp. Especially if I bring my dog along. I'm planning to try out both.

@@pramagli which one did you end up getting, the -10 or 10 degree bag? I’m curious how the -10 one performs. Either way I hope it performs well for you on your trip, mine did so far for my backyard tests. I’ll have to take a look at that tent, and yes tents seem like the way to go unless your really wanting to cut crazy weight. Happy trails!
