Egg was the first person I asked since I knew he’d be one of the only people who was both available the times I was and knew how to actually do online stuff
Yes I've watched way more of these videos than I'm proud to admit and I always felt something was missing especially when they used a second "player" the interactions, this felt way more enjoyable
So many other challenge runs abuse two player mode, but a shocking few of them actually have a friend to do it with. Watching the genuine teamwork of this was just beautiful :')
This was a really entertaining one. Good to see you found an interesting challenge for this game - and one that actually required co-op, too. Favorite part was...I dunno, there's a lot of candidates, but it's between the koopa dance strat or skipping the snake block in the final stage!
wow, i love how 6-A almost seems like it was purpose-built to force you to try and keep your momentum. i guess mario games have kind of always been about trying to get through a level in one fluid run, but that's really emphasized when you learn you can do a whole level with just the momentum you get from bouncing off enemies.

I knew this game had a 2-player mode, but I would have never thought to make one player ground pound the other! Really impressive stuff here. You two vibe well together, the editing was great, the tricks looked awesome, ... By the way, I thought this challenge was gonna be completely impossible and would require tons of right presses, so in your community post I guessed it'd take 2 right presses for the memes. Turns out my meme guess was not that far off!
Amazing teamwork, great ingenuity, impressive skills, and editing that really emphasizes all that beautifully. I was at the edge of my seat during that snake block room. All in all, an absolutely incredible video. Thanks for all the effort you put into it.
It's insane how much WORK you put into your videos man. I never imagined that this game comes anything close to any Challenge but you did it once again. Thank you for your Videos.
Definitely the koopa dance, especially hearing the excitement in his voice during his revelation where he realizing it was a strategy. This is probably your most entertaining video yet, because the audio archives of the gameplay are really insightful and add a lot of flavor to the content. Overall I would definitely say its my favorite aspect. Nice work!
Really great video man it's awesome you had your friend along for it too. It was entertaining seeing the clips of you two reacting to what the game throws at you! Not to mention the tech showcased in this video is stuff I would never think of doing myself, so great job! :D
I love the creativity at play here! Mario challenges risk getting somewhat trivialized when the player is forced to whip out either another player or the white tanooki costume, but here I *loved* how you got to use every single tool availabe to even the playing field and the challenge felt fair. Amazing, how this is how far one must go to make the metric ton of extra lives nsmb2 gives the player seem balanced 😂
holy crap man, I was doubtful how interesting this challenge could be but how you cooperate with your pal, and you also make it sound like a really interesting puzzle game I'm hooked also 29:30 I love this little moment you have where you wholeheartedly believe in egg while he himself doesn't believe in himself, then it just goes smoothly AAAAAAA
Love the dedication to getting this done with the minimal presses. Started seeing challenge runs where people give up at obstacles that could be passed with more time or use of lesser known glitches
Wow, simply an amazing job. I really enjoyed seeing all of the amazing tricks you guys pulled off, especially with timing the music so that a Koopa's dance keeps it out of your way, and the methods used to get past the snake block room of Bowser's Castle.
Using the music to not get hit by the Koopa, incredible 😂 Ive always liked those little details that match up with the music in NSMB games, but I've never seen them actually have impact!
@Ansel_G first video I've seen from your channel man, and if this is just one of your videos, I'm so excited to binge watch the rest. I'd normally never really type this much but since your so active in your comments, I'd just like to say, you've a ridiculous amount of potential and I'd love to see what you make in the future. Sorry for the long message, but it's not often you get to speak directly to someone with this quality of content.
Really good video! Interesting strats, engaging flow and nice esiting. I really liked the subtle bits of text, they're small but add quite a bit of character with the way they're placed

This was insanely impressive, and very entertaining too! Such a shame it takes exactly 1 right press, but the way you eliminated all other ones (especially getting to the pocket in the castle) was awesome.
This was a brilliant video and I think the commentary from two people helped to make this vid stand out and led to it being even more enjoyable than usual As for the challenge itself, if you use Ceave’s old rule of gameplay Vs meta right presses, then you did succeed at this challenge because there were no gameplay right presses
Great video. My favourite nsmb2 video. I think this game is very underated and the team work you guys had to use was really fun to watch. The bubble chaining was edgy but also really satisfying to see work out. Im suprised there was only 1 pipe you had to press right to go through, but im not sure if i would count it. I can see why you did, but its not like you had to press right to get past some insane section. It would be cool to see speedrunning categories of challenges like this so people are encouraged to play the game in multiple ways more. Yes I've watched way more of these videos than I'm proud to admit and I always felt something was missing especially when they used a second "player" the interactions, this felt way more enjoyable
The "Retro Blast" is basically a POW block, I reckon Iggy is immune because the game considers him airborne.
Not in every other game he’s in, only this one
