I am very impressed not only of your videos but more in your professional attitude as a commercial airline pilot. It must be stressful at times, though you make it look like a breeze. Awesome that I found your video here on TH-cam and I have subscribed as soon as the first video was over. Great landing by the way very smooth. I have only learned to fly on a flight simulator, though I have been in many type aircraft, I'm fascinated mostly on helicopters. I have put many hours in the air on helicopters from previous work as a wildland fire fighter and extensive work in the oil and gas sector as a land surveyor. I certainly missed a opportunity to actually become a pilot myself and would have been a dream job, flying fixed wing small aircraft, floatplane as well as helicopter. All the cost would have been covered as the owner of the business that offered the opportunity, is certified to teach and had alot of hours in fixed wing and probably many more in helicopter. I did get a chance to take the controls once while sitting in the front of a Bell 205 helicopter and had control just briefly. That was a cool experience. But I leave it up to the professionals. I can take off land and know the majority of procedures on the simulator and that's pretty cool for me. Anyways glad I found your channel and subscribed. Safe flying and happy safe landings always.

08:40 onwards, the runway threshold looks quite far. Wondering how long the displaced part of the runway only, before the threshold, must be around a km!

Hi Michelle. Another fabulous video we went to Fuerteventura very many years ago when they had just extended the runway and airport buildings, think it very early 2000's. The flight was unforgettable as a child behind us screamed very loudly from LGT to FUE for 3 plus hours. Upon arrival at FUE a part of the roof of the aircraft fell down just as we about to stand up! Apart from that, the best part of the winter holiday was the full day trip around the island given by a fellow Scot from Edinburgh, it was excellent. Kind Regards Crawford

I am always amazed by the transition from a low altitude flying aircraft to a multi thousands pound 160 mph tricycle. I crashed too many tricycles when I was a kid to ever be secure on one.

Thank you! We can decide ourselves when we disconnect! However, that does increase the workload of the pilot monitoring (non-flying pilot) because he'll have to adjust speeds, flaps, while talking to atc and actually monitoring.

Great video! Do you ever request and get cleared for a visual approach? Most of these remote airports where you land have very little traffic, so why not fly a visual approach when conditions allow! Here is the USA visual approaches save a lot of time, when feasible! Thanks!
Absolutely, the visul approaches are the most fun. Unfortunately they didn't approve this time because of the planes ahead of us, maybe next time 😄
I was working at Fokker Airkraft. I did planning for F70 and F100
I enjoy your landings every time. Because, I have made a flight in the flight simmulator of the F100. Lift off was perfect, but my landing was rerrible. "Nose up! Nose up! Yeh, to late hahaha.

Hey Michelle, I was wondering if you have ever flown the competition with Boeing 737 the airbus a320? Ik Europe has more airbus pilots than Boeing because of course airbus is French company and Boeing is American. And the flying with fly by wire side stick instead of yoke I heard is significantly different feeling. Just wondered your thoughts. I personally love the 737 and Boeing planes and pilots are usually bias on what they fly over the competition.
Hey Nick, there is always competition between Airbus and Boeing indeed, if that is what you mean! It's because going from Boeing to Airbus is a piece of cake, while going from Airbus to Boeing requires a 'going back to flight school' situation. Other than that, both have their advantages!

On May 28, 1996 AK Airlines made "aviation technology history" landing using GPS. For the longest time it was the only airport in the world with GPS technology. Watching you going through the clouds reminded me the day GPS was installed

Thanks Eric! I fly the B737-700 and B737-800. I've flown the B737-400 before but never the 737 MAX. I've had non-normal situations and failures of systems in the B737-800, but never one that wasn't described/mentioned somewhere.

Another great video Michelle being as you fly 737s a lot do you have any thoughts or insights to share with the recent issues with the 737 Max they were returned to service here a couple of days ago. I have been using Heritage for three years now I have 2625 people in mt family tree all the way back to year 1528 I have found it addictive and hard to not keep researching I hope you enjoy it as much as I do take care and as always best wishes Andy Allen.

Hi Michelle , thanks for the nice video and good (perfect?) landing. It must be a fine feeling for your passengers, with a soft landing on a window airport. What vertical speed (VS) would that have been in fpm , please. I am not flying the real stuff , but fly in my flight sim planes. My best landing in EHAM was -7 fpm, though some pilots may say that it is too soft and increase the danger for skidding. My aim is around 50-100 fpm and some 60% of my flights make that happen.
Go on with your beautiful videos of landings, I will pick out some and (try to ) repeat those landings in my flight sim; mostly in an Airbus321, sorry but Captain Joe will understand.

You have a lot of positive and encouraging videos with great motivation to become a professional pilot or to just fly like one, and I love it. But you know what would really make me feel better about my flying? If you could just bounced one in once in awhile. I would like to see you balloon and pogo stick one landing, and bounce like a ping pong ball half way down the runway just so I can feel better about my landings. Can you do that once, huh?

Is it possible for a Boeing to land automatically with the ILS? Or are there guidelines as to when the autopilot must be switched off in order to land the aircraft manually?

How does the person controlling the plane know, for example, when landing manually (for example in curves), how much the steering wheel or stick should be turned, and how long the turning should continue?

You approached directly over the Sheraton Fuerteventura which we are considering for a Summer holiday this year. The question now is whether to reserve there for the AV geek and beach in me, or somewhere without the aircraft traffic and noise 😅😅
