Thank you so much for being one of “us” and showing us that we don’t have to be perfect to have a great project, and reiterating that we are going to be the only ones looking at this with a fine tooth comb☺️
I love your teaching techniques, thank you so much!!
My pleasure! I'm totally not perfect... but it still comes out great! 🥰
Really great tutorial. Please! More projects with the Missouri Star zippers. I mistakenly bought two sets of them and need some other projects, since I have about 30 of them. Thanks. They really are so cute!
I wasn’t sure how to sew on those zippers and now I see to make two lines of sewing. Thank you
I probably ly have 30 or so as well! 😆
great information about the "nose" never heard of this before. great tutorial thank you for sharing with us
Love the look of the two rows of stitching on the zipper tape!
Same! ♥️
The zipper is adorable! The project bag is awesome❤ you give so many great tips and tricks.
Thanks! I love sharing fun tips as we go. 🥰
Such a cute pouch! I've never heard of the nose on binding before. 😆 Now I will have to look on my next binding.
What a coincidence! I saw the zippers were on sale today and grabbed a bunch!
Yes! They were!! 🥰
Great tutorial Carolina! I love project bags with vinyl top. I have made lots of them in different sizes.
They are so handy! And these fancy zippers make such a fun accent. ♥️
Always enjoy your videos Carolina 😊
Awww... thanks!! People like you are what keep me going. 🥰
Happy to see directions for project bag. Enjoy your shows
I'm so glad you enjoy watching! ❤️
I loved absolutely everything about this video! New subscriber here ❤️
I love Missouri Star. And those zippers they have are the best!!! Thank you for the tutorial. I'm still a bit of a beginner and vinyl is a bit intimidating.
❤❤
They are fantastic! Vinyl is fun! Give it a shot - you might love it! ❤️
Great video. Lovely project bag. Thank you 😊
Great project bag love the fabric and fancy zippers
Thanks! 🥰
good job. loved the size of that bag. thanks for sharing
Thanks! I based the size on being able to cut everything from 2 fat quarters. Nice and big, but fat quarter friendly. ❤️
Love this video, Carolina! This is a nice size bag! I don’t recall seeing matt vinyl! I like it!
Thanks! There are othe matte vinyls out there as well... look for "jelly vinyl" for even more options. ❤️
Great video! Making a project bag has been on my to-do list for awhile and now I’m really excited to get started. Thank you for this tutorial! I have never heard of the “nose” term, but I will definitely pay attention to this going forward, lol.
Yay!! Love a timely tutorial! 🥰
Enjoyed your video today
love the video thanks Didn't know Missouri Star had the binders I watch Missouri all the time I have their cute zippers with the hearts love the ones with the spool of thread so cute thank you for the video want to use these bags for different projects I am working on instead of gallon zip lock bags
Yes! So much cuter than a gallon bag! Also, I saw this morning that MSQC came out with binders for holding templates!! I immediately added them to my cart! 🥰
Beautiful bag, great tips.
Thanks! ❤️
Ha! I just checked the quilts nearby me and they have noses! I learned something new!😊
I did the same when I learned about it ... and my quilts have LOTS of noses!! I'd been quilting 30 years when I learned about that!
But that's also something I love about quilting - I'm always learning new things. And, for some of those things, I can choose not to care. 🤷♀️😉😆
Love to see more zippers!!
fusible soft and stable works like a charm too
Oh! I haven't tried that! Will need to get my hands on some! ❤️
It would be great to show us a finished bag at the beginning so we can understand where we are heading.
Thanks for good explanations.
The thumbnail image of the video shows rhe finished bag. 😉
Have you tried using a heating pad set on the lowest heat to warm up your vinyl. I think I will try that. I really love those zippers. I have not heard the phrase, "Binding Nose." Thank you for this tutorial.
I have not tried a heating pad, but that sounds like a fabulous idea! ❤️
those zippers are interesting!
I fell in love with them the moment I saw them! I have more plans for them as well. ♥️
@carolina do you have the agf binding yet? That was a fun project!!
I learned that you don’t want “pig snouts” on the corners of the binding. Lol
Hahaha!! So, same thing! I'm glad someone else has heard of it before - it was new to me!
I think all my corners have noses. Loved the idea of two rows of stitching on the zipper, I always worried if they were going to stay stitched.
I went back and looked at my quilts - a lot of them have noses! It doesn't bother me... just one of those things that you learn as you go along, and then choose if you're going to care or not. 🤷♀️
Where’s the link for the zippers? To purchase.
Great video , is that a premade binding I can’t find it , on Missouri quilt company
It is not pre-made... I made it before the video. But I'm about to post a short on the process of putting together the binding...
@@CarolinaMoore ok cool what is that fabric again please
@Lseney the fabric is "Sew Obsessed" by Art Gallery Fabrics. It is in stores now.
I love this project, however, where can I get the vinyl that you have?
It is also from Missouri Star! 🥰
Thank you
My pleasure! 🥰
A Teflon foot works great when sewing vinyl
Yes it does!
👍🏻 you mentioned that as well at the end
How. Did you glitz up your sewing machine?
I added rhinestones to it! I have another video where I talk about it... th-cam.com/video/yjHegaxQLI0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_1Pdw9w8D2aPcINW
Make sure you subscribe, I have another video coming where I share the process.
Do you like that sewing machine?
I do! This is the one that I use most often in my project videos. I also have a Baby Lock Ballad that I use in my main sewing area. 🥰
Are you just using Elmer’s glue?
Yup! Regular school glue! 🥰
Not quite understanding why using the vinyl if putting fabric behind it so you can't see contents? I would think you would want to see the project contents and just have the vinyl front in order to do so.
There is backing fabric, without which the bag would have no back. But there is no fabric between the vinyl and the contents. 🥰
@@CarolinaMoore Sorry, it just looked like you were adding another gray piece to the bottom front.
Nope, it is this really fun patterned vinyl. ❤️
