It is those simple tips and tricks that allow us to achieve a professional finish. For instance the bigger seam allowance on the lining gives a snug fit when inserted into the exterior. Thanks for sharing ❤❤

there are just not enough thumbs up to give. absolutely amazing tutorial🥰: clarity of instructions; clarity of visual, attention to detail(!!!!). I just finished my pouch and while it did take me way longer to complete, it came out perfect.🥳🎉 I was really nervous because sewing around those zipper tabs-- there is a lot of bulk and the varying seam allowance for lining and exterior fabric-- well I was admittly doubtful on what it was going to look like once I turned everything right side out. All I can say is---> trust the process because the outcome was absolutely beautiful. I cannot thank you enough for all your time and effort and for always giving quality tutorials. ☺️🌻

Great tutorial, as usual! I always think about making the lining smaller than the bag but never remember. This is fresh on my mind and I have plenty of scraps so it could happen. Do I need another zippy pouch - no. Can you ever have too many zippy pouches - also no!

You're a great teacher. I've watched many videos on making a zippered pouch but I like your way the best - the zipper tabs, not top stitching to the end, making the lining a bit smaller...all helped make this pouch better than others I've made.

Love this tutorial! Excellent job! The only thing I would do differently is when attaching the lining pieces, I would turn the stack over and sew just inside the previous basting stitch, instead of blindly sewing from the lining/stabilizer side. I have never seen this technique for making a scrappy pouch. I will be making this. Thank you!

Fairly new male sewist and love that tip about the larger seam allowance on the liner side to make for a much more professional look. I don't have a bunch of fabric scraps but I see i can get them on eBay. I have a granddaughter and a niece I would love to make these for they have birthdays coming up and I just got a new janome and will use these great ideas/tips.

You have a lot of specific suggestions to make the pouches a lot snazzier than those I've been making. For example, I will have to start using the 3/8" seam to have more to press open and also do the top stitching. Also the different seams for the lining and the exterior is something I hadn't thought of. Thank you, Vanessa!
