1/2 yard outside fabric (or two matching fat quarters)
1/2 yard lining fabric (or two matching fat quarters)
1/2 yard fusible fleece
14" zipper

I have been sewing for many years and I want to say that you did an excellent job of explaining and showing how to make this zipper bag. I feel like even a beginning seamstress could make this bag following your tutorial! Great job!!

I have made several vinyl front bags in the past, but was not happy with my results. I found your video the other day and decided to try it . I am so glad I did. Celeste, you are a natural teacher. I make project bags for a "living" and did find that I needed to topstitch to keep the fabric from catching in the zipper. You must have a special touch!

Oh my!!! This is just fantastic. I have made some project bags that are very 'new sewer' looking especially as it comes to the zipper. Thanks for the video...I feel empowered to make a few more bags.
Oh wooooow! Love them. I have a lot of fabric and all my gift recipients this year could do with some bags. My MIL knits, I could sew a large button hole in the side for her to pull a piece of yarn through. My mom quilts, I could make one the size of two project boards sandwiched together or include an embroidery hoop... My son likes to use zip bags for his legos... Ah I love it! You're inspiring me to make something. Thank you

Celeste, thank you so very much for this awesome tutorial. I’ve never put a lining in so this looks super easy. Now to get reacquainted with my pfaff sewing machine and try to find the zipper foot. Ha! And of course I have to buy fabric and a zipper!

Thank you sooo very much. I made a strawberry project bag out of a cute cotton dish towel from Walmart. It costs , I think, 94 cents !!! It’s so cute !!! I love a bargain. The zipper pull is from a set of fabric tomatoes and strawberries from Amazon. Thank you, again!!!
I make these as well at times only thing I do different is top stitch by the zipper , but I really like how smooth yours looks 🥰I may do a few like that !!! Great video
Thank you Celeste for a wonderful tutorial. I do make front zip project bags with three fabrics, but I like the idea of making a simpler bag, but equally as beautiful. A little trick I like to do is I will use a 16 inch zipper for 14 inch bag. That way I don’t have a problem with the zipper pull. That idea might not work for a top zipper bag though.Thank you for some little tips and tricks.
I don't recall if I said, but I really appreciate this tutorial. I've made quite a few of these lately, and you've made it so easy. I know it takes a lot of time to film this sort of resource, so please know how much you are appreciated. Being a very novice sew-ist, I cannot thank you enough for talking through the steps at a reasonable pace. I love project bags, but I'd spend a fortune if I could not make them myself.
