This is not the Glasgow Apollo, The Scottish fans went wild on the return of the Young brothers to their hometown and are responsible for putting ANGUS ! ANGUS ! into A Whole Lotta Rosie back in 1978. Different crowd altogether.
@Bvon Strat lol that high,i went to tons of gigs the apollo as a youth, even higher than i remember it lol i also remember seeing saxon there, graham oliver smashed a guitar at the end,and threw it offstage,it was flying through the air.towards my outsteched hands, until a pile of bodies came flying towards me,and i ended up at the bottom of the pile lol bouncers going mental, graham later apologized for getting carried away on a radio show after the gig,as it nearly started a riot lol
@Bvon Strat i remember reading that rob halford once fell off his motorbike that he used to drive onstage at judas priest gigs, just as well he didnt fall off his bike at the apollo,as there would be no rob halford lol
I read than Bon Scott was a roadie and he told them he could do a better job than whoever was singing at the time. This is absolutely one of my favorite AC / DC songs ever !!! “Being a bad boy ain’t that bad, “I’ve had me more dirty women than most men ever had”. One of the best lyric lines in rock history!!! Fuck yeah !!!

Agreed! That whole relentless, driving rhythm section is a massive part of what makes the band so great. The energy from Phil, Cliff and Malcolm is just off the charts!
I’m 21 and was brought up on ac/dc as my father is a massive fan. I’ve realised recently that no band will ever resonate with me as much as ac/dc. Especially the 70s era live videos, you can literally feel the atmosphere from that night when you turn it up. It makes you get up and dance and head bang until your neck hurts. No one else can do that. I’m insanely jealous of anyone who got to see them live with Bon, do you think anyone realised at the time that they were watching the biggest and best rock band to ever have walked the earth? I don’t think they do, but I do. One member left now, Angus. Unfortunately I was born just in time to watch my heroes die but I will always say ac/dc when asked for a favourite, no hesitation
I totally agree with you! I m 14 and starting listening to AC/DC changed my life forever. This band is unique, nobody can ever beat them, they are the best, Angus is just incredible, a monster, Malcolm a genius rythm guitarist, Phil and Cliff do an awsome job at the rythm section and Bon... this frontman damn! Brian is great to but Bon was special. AC/DC forever!
I don’t think some of them realized the greatness they were witnessing. I seen some of the guys in that back looking at Angus bang his head like he was a freak. Lol what fools they were.
Lewis, you may be right, there will never be another AC/DC, but there are lots of really cool bands your age right here on youtube, you just have to dig a little, GVF and The Warning come to mind. Maybe someone in the comments could name a few more.
Lewis I was 15 when I saw them in my home town in rural NSW Australia. It was 1975. Everyone who was there still talks about it and all other music is measured from that point...
Bought the brand new"Let There Be Rock"album when I was a young teen in 1977.Needless to say my rock and roll world was never the same!Thank you,it's still a treasure to me.⭐
Such a complete act & show. Nailed it with the front man, nailed it with guitar, bass & drums. No phones in sight or snowflakes. Just rock & roll. Bring me back to these days!!
There are many marriages, made in heaven, in this world. But for me, the real marriage made in heaven was, when Phil joined ACDC. The legend was born with Bon Scott's entry....
Angus will always be my favourite member, nobody's rocking harder than him, not even the fans. Absolutely love his energy and how he's absolutely one and the same with the music on a whole other level
That blond kid in the white shirt, front left, thought he was going to a lecture about electricity. If only he knew what he was lucky enough to experience there. Saw them in 1979 in a slightly larger venue but still got to touch Bon and get showered in Angus sweat as he rode on Bon’s shoulders through the mosh pit (no security needed). Brings tears to my eyes to see this stuff. Utterly brilliant!
Not watched thru a cell phone at the time either. Jack White prohibits phones at his shows and it makes it feel old school like this - where you were present in the moment - not searching for likes, love, or looks.
Rock'n'Roll pure! AC/DC really felt and feel Rock'n'Roll! What a geat song and performance! Riffs, groove, rhythm, tempo - all just awesome! No band on earth can play like this, because no band feels like AC/DC does. That's why AC/DC is AC/DC, always will.
I know, I was just saying he was born in Scotland and he was very proud of his Scottish roots. There is now a statue of him in his hometown of Kirriemuir, Scotland & it was unveiled by former Ac/dc bassist Mark Evans this year.
Love this song. So many great deep cuts from the 70's albums. You gotta love Bon's sense of humor in the lyrics and his vocal delivery on these songs. Brian did a hell of a job trying to fill those shoes, but you simply cannot replace a unique guy like Bon.
The solo at 3:00 is improvised, and it's so much better than the album version that bon turns around at 3:06 and is blown away to see Angus going nuts and still being able to play like that. What a moment to catch on video.
Richard Chambers twas a young us airman stationed at RAF wethersfield in 1979 and saw the who,ac/DC,the stranglers and nils lofgren at Wembley. Holy fuck!!
You could not of written that any better partner excellent bravo!
Bring me back to these days!!
no phones in sight? my guy, this was in the 70's, what'd you expect, people walking around with rotary phones?? hahahahaha
@@joeyterheide5426 it was a comparison to todays gigs. But yes, big dial phones and long cords everywhere.
There are many marriages, made in heaven, in this world. But for me, the real marriage made in heaven was, when Phil joined ACDC. The legend was born with Bon Scott's entry....
AWESOME! This is the AC/DC that I grew up listening to. So cool to see and hear this!
Amen.☝️👏👏🤘🤘
The best Hard Rock band in the world
except for KISS (sorry just joking)
They were until Bon died
Yeah I’ve changed my mind
@@totallynotaliens4448 🙂
You were So Lucky. You had a Brush with 2 of the GREATEST EVER.🤘🤘
The voice, the guitar, never again. We were so lucky.
The best part this is it is a memory. Not recorded on a cell phone,
Not watched thru a cell phone at the time either.
Todo eso ahora o por la décadas
Oh man, those were the times of freedom and pure joy. Everything was so vital and organic. Now we live in an AI world, hell.
Bieber and Swift
So much energy! Bon Scott and Angus Young! Whether in small club or in stadium.....always the Best! Love them!
0:45 malcolms face after he sees his brother just destroy the guitar is priceless 😂
No one gets my blood flowin' like AC/DC! The greatest straight for the jugular no bullshit rock n roll band ever!
When rock was truly HARD!!!
Aamen
The must be up there with one of the best performances of rock history. That drop about 6:50 was like an earthquake.
Mate I reckon, that bass to so clean. Best ever like you say
Happy 70th Bon Scott. Memories are like sea waves, they keep flooding back to shore. The greatest Oz Rock Singer!
Born in Scotland! Peace
ac dc Lived in Fremantle, Perth too:)
I know, I was just saying he was born in Scotland and he was very proud of his Scottish roots. There is now a statue of him in his hometown of Kirriemuir, Scotland & it was unveiled by former Ac/dc bassist Mark Evans this year.
he is still Australian (:
Leeli ville Born in Forfar, Scotland. He will always be Scottish (:
Love this song. So many great deep cuts from the 70's albums. You gotta love Bon's sense of humor in the lyrics and his vocal delivery on these songs. Brian did a hell of a job trying to fill those shoes, but you simply cannot replace a unique guy like Bon.
the lyrics to their songs definately took a slide after Bon passed away.
You love really easy then
The greatest Rock and Roll band of all time!!!!!!!!!!
Prince Andrew loves this comment
Rarely a word electrifying fits so well to describe a musical event like this
I can't listen to today's music because I'm love with AC/DC.
Agree!!
Agree!!
I was just saying to my wife there is no modern rock band that can amp up a crowd the way the old guys did it
PERIODT.
Agree!!!!
This song is a masterpiece. It should be sung everywhere.
The Best AC/DC lead solo I have seen, really proves himself
No one ROCKS like ACDC!
The solo at 3:00 is improvised, and it's so much better than the album version that bon turns around at 3:06 and is blown away to see Angus going nuts and still being able to play like that.
What a moment to catch on video.
Nah Bon new the band ...
This is actually one the best solos to improvise on guitar, since is just basic Am-Dm-Em pentatonic scale progression
Doesn't mean he can't be shocked when his bandmates perform even better than usual.
It's a great solo, and can we mention the TIGHT rhythm breaks behind him at 3:25 !
Most amazing Song and Performance ever!!!! I love Bons Screaming and hes amazing Voice and i miss him!
mmmmmmmmeeee toooo
I was lucky enough to see them when Bon Scott was alive. Saw them a few times since then too. Angus Young is a Dynamo!🎸🎸🎸🎙🎶🎵🎼
Yup.😈
Richard Chambers twas a young us airman stationed at RAF wethersfield in 1979 and saw the who,ac/DC,the stranglers and nils lofgren at Wembley. Holy fuck!! A fist full of 10 mg valiums and 5grams of chokin red hash with 4 of my air force pals, whew! Still remember the whole night. Ac/DC with bon ,no words!!
Bon voice is letal, pure insane rock n roll sound
You're so right!
Letal?
So raw, so real, so kick- ass! Bon & Co. commandeering the small crowd into a rock-n-roll frenzy.
working class music of that era, things just aint the same anymore
Mono gram adikt Yeah, but Angus is still on a roll. New album and tour soon!!! 🕪😎🔊
Bred out of existence.
