..the image I had, was what I was trying to save; that's the self, that's selfing. I'm trying to save the parasite at all costs, and I'm losing my freakin ass. And I actually fight people to be right about its view... you start living for the parasite...this is freedom-from...the parasite uses thoughts to bring you to what it calls surrender, which is fuck-it. When you're exerting power you don't have, you are experiencing powerlessness, frustration, being pissed off, because no one is doing what you want them to do. But if you admit your powerlessness you feel power all day.
So this guy haven't had a drink in 30 years? I mean, I am not an alcoholic, I only drink like once a month like a beer or something, and I don't think about drinking in my free time, but even I don't know if I can do 30 years without a single beer? What am I missing here?
my dad stopped drinking after he found out my mom was pregnant with me. That was 24 years ago & my dad was an actual alcoholic. In 6 years it will be 30 years too! & you prob can't fathom quitting to that degree cause like you said you're not an alcoholic. He is committed to his sobriety. It's amazing actually. I wish my friend who is an addict will do the same one day.. ugh.
