YESSS! I'm building mine now, though, it'll be a little different than this one. Hopefully it's done by the time MRRF rolls around!
is it gonna be life size for Chuck to ride in? :)
It would be safer than that spool cart he made.
LMAOO I was thinking the same thing.
this model is awesome ! thanks a lot to Daniel Noree!! all my respect!
Nice review, nice print and as always, nice job!
Looks great Joe, I've been thinking about doing this for ages. Need to find more time from somewhere :-)
Very cool, I love the black and orange body. I'm currently working on one myself in black and yellow. Cheers!
Great job! The print quality looks amazing.
it turned out extremely good and the layers are barely visible at 0.15 height
really like the way you did the dual colour print! looks lovely. the whole thing turned out great. the skidding turns are pretty crazy!
have to say that while there was no grip, doing drifts and doughnuts is still fun lol
this is awesome cant wait to give it a go. Have checked some of his other project there awesome too
woah, that is cool, I really like the fact it's all 3d printed and is two hobbies I follow great job Joe
Thanks buddy :)
Need to add this to my ever growing list of prints to do when my MK3 finally arrives 😬😬 great video joe 👍👍
oh you so should dude :) thanks you
3D Maker Noob The electronics seemed a tad expensive but its been a long time since I purchased any...
They are, however they are high quality components and the equivalent purchased separately won’t really be much cheaper to be honest as I checked lol
3D Maker Noob phew! Am glad it wasn’t just me. Quality costs and always worth it 👍
Great car. I've been meaning to do this as well. Had you seen 3D Print - Tech Design's Ferrari Enzo version? I'm going to try to make some other cars too.
Awsome model! My only question left is, have you built in some motor failures as well to be as close to the original as possible? ;P
Awesome!!! Dude
Awesome video Joe, and the car came out very nice. But i suggest upgrading the model to an 4x4 off road model, because those roads on Malta look terrible. :-P
The raods in Malta are fine thanks your maybe are made of glass???
hehe, this is just a side road, which means local counsels ignore them. but we do have a lot of off-road possibilities :)
Haha, if only that were true. No our roads are pretty good, but definitely not glass. It was just at around the 1:38 minute mark that you can see a big pothole and for this small 3D printed car, i feared the worst. Luckily Joe knows how to build them the proper way ;)
Very nice!
Love that!
What a wonderfully quiet place to live!
it is, actually one of the quietest places on teh island
I love the camera
cool
Nice car. Can you please share it's 3d print design. Thanks
@3DMN
Hi.. Do you have solidworks files for race car?
Did I miss the review of that FT5 in the background?
Nah, still working on tuning it as that has a duet WiFi and a bunch of custom mods on it :)
Maybe add a 3dlabprint plane to the to do list? :-) I am printing a QTrainer with the filamentive rPLA I won at your 5k give away. Yeah, I know, that was ages ago ;-) Moving house (twice), helping move my parents, (twice), construction work on my new not so new house, it takes a lot of time away from tinkering... But I should end up with a nice makerspace.....
Whats the infil% of the tires?
How does the performance of the car compare to "real" rc F1 cars ( Xray X1, Tamiya trf104 ....) ?
This is a cool project and the design is fantastic but hobby grade cars would stomp all over these, it's not even close.
I can find how to install the eletronics? Someone?
Electronics package out of stock ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
How are people printing this, some parts are bigger than the print bed (Makerbot)
Ruby nozzle ! Did you see the prices of those lol the nozzle alone is worth more then most printers owned by many. loll
True, however if you print in abrasive filaments, a brass nozzle will last you for a couple of small prints before replacing. The Olsson can withstand endless amounts without needing replacing
I agree and trust me when it comes to 3d printing I don't hold back the expenses, I print with a few abrasive filaments, yes they do wear down the brass nozzles a little faster but its not a nozzle per role of filament either! , I pushed throw, 2 rolls of Pasta carbine fiber, a few rolls polycarbonate, countless rolls of nylons and abs, all with the same nozzle, besides, replacing the nozzles is simple, I buy a E3d fun pack and it give me a replacement for the 0.4 plus all the other sizes in between for less the 45$ CAD. At 115$CAD plus TX plus shipping the ruby doesn't add up. Not saying I wouldn't like one for my prusa's and the ultimaker because I would, hahaha! i'm just saying math wise, its not a good deal.
BTW im sorry I didn't start with this first! Great looking print , nice video and good job for using abs! two Thumbs up!
Cheers buddy :) in my case, under a microscope I found that a brass nozzle will wear off quite a bit after about 200g of NylonX. After about 500g of filament the models I was printing just didn’t look good and lots of failures. Guess it all depends on the filament
3D Maker Noob it takes SO LITTLE CF to widen the orifice if a brass nozzle and make it irregular
Does anybody know of a very simple openrc rear suspension and drive design, I am making a 3d printed Rc Corvega from fallout 4 made from the original game files
What is the scale of the car ??? 1:24 or 1:32 ???
can you make a car honda civic eg 1992
When the car cost more than your printer...
lol to be fair nowadays, even a nice meal for 2 at a restaurant costs more than a printer
Jon, Rob or Mike?
Rob Waardenburg Jon man, he is just too down to earth and genuine :)
3D Maker Noob very true, I am the same, it sucks that Rob and Jon don't play that often anymore
Yeah, been following rob and Jon for about a year and a half now, good combination :) although glad they are doing some vids together again
3D Maker Noob yep indeed. I do like Josh and Jon together too
Yep, they definitely complement each other :) their blind trading episodes are awesome hehe
Gp2 engine…gp2
Electronics are very expensive ,I can get brand new rc car for that price.
it's a open source scam bro.
