Thanks for this, I was having such issues, being new to networks and switches, getting my IP camera to work. Superb video, recommended to anyone having issues
Thanks for the tutorial I am actually connected to the camera but the interface says to download and install a plug in, I do so but there's no display.
Hi, thank you so much for your videos! Internet explorer suddenly stopped working for the web address. I was using Web Service 2.0 to log into my Dahua Android vto. Now nothing from configure tool. Can you help or is this video the answer
Hi, Thank you for this video, I have a concern. I have a smart TV Tv Samsung that connects to the network. I have Dahua ip camera that I plugged into my 16 channel Dahua NVR. The NVR is installed 70 meters from my Smart TV.Therefore imposible to connect by cable the NVR and Smart TV. Is there a way to view the images on the smart TV in local network. Best regards

How do you directly connect to the camera via browser without the external plug in? When I try to connect (both with i.e and Chrome) I have to install a plug in, wich opens up a new window. My problem here is when for instance making the Privacy masking, the mouse and picture is way out of sync. So it is not possible to set up masking where I want.
respected sir I m from pakistan I have dahua xvr is online & do work is good other networks but same wifi is not online my xvr but if i try local ip then its work good xvr date time is also ok kindly can you explain where is my mistake?
Hi. I am intending to buy "Dahua SD49225T-HN", 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera. I don't want to connect to NVR just intend to use the POE cable. In order to get the audio in/out I was told I need to to buy pickup microphone. I think to buy "Dahua Audio Pickup DH-HSA200 Hi-fidelity Audio Picker Microphone" Is that going to be enough for the setup I am intending to do? Kind regards, Stoyan
I've got a same question. I've looked in the Storage section on camera's web interface and it seems Dahua camera supports some File Transfer Protocols like FTP. But I failed to force camera recording footage to PC although followed Dahua Wiki instruction. The instruction lacks of details of showing what is needed to be done on PC.
im having an issue with one of my cameras... My default camera IP was 192.168.1.xxx... However, its in the same range as my existing IP of all my other devices on the network. I manually changed my other camera to a .200 range and set to DHCP. That works fine, but the problematic camera which was default at 192.168 was staying as static, so despite changing that to the .200 range, it refused to change from static to DHCP. I hope im making sense here, but any ideas? The camera is seen, but completely disconnects all my other devices, meaning i have no internet connectivity unless i remove that camera from the network
If you change your ipv4 stack to the same as the camera "as you did here" you wont see it as you are the same ip as the camera. You need to be in same range but not the same if i am correct!?
I'm going to buy the HFW1431S because my Hikvison 2CD2132 is s*cks (no firmware update allowed and still using NPAPI, deprecated at least for 15 years but Hikviosn doesn't give a sh*t about it). Is these Dahua camera working fine in Chrome? thank you!
I like your info but in my opinion you need to slow down your talking for us newbies. It's hard to follow along when you are ripping through it like we know what you are talking about. The info is great but makes me have to pause and replay multiple times so I can catch up....and that's with me havig a little technology understanding and experience...just not in IP stuff. Do you have to have a subscription to ISpy? I couldn't find what you displayed for IP default info on my cameras on their pages. I changed my NVR from Alibi to Dahua because of it's better features. 4 out of my 5 cams are Dahua. I'm resetting everything because obviously the Dahua is not programmed with all the details of the Alibi NVR. I feel it would be easier for me to learn everything from scratch. I would like to see the computer interface before conecting my Dahua NVR. 4 of the cams are variable and even before when I had them set up the Alibi I could not see how to control/change the zoom. But that's a different issue for down the road. thanks for your help...Now on to your other videos....new subscriber
Hi I have the problem, can this IP address change work on Wifi connections because when I change the IP address and try to go on internet there is no connection? Thank you
the camera needs power. The Ethernet port on the computer is un-powered, it does not power the camera. You need a power over Ethernet switch or a DC power supply to power your camera.
I know nothing about ip cams or how to hook them up. I have a dh-ipc-hdw4431c-a but no nvr. how do I physicaly connect this camera in order to use it? Do I plug the ethernet cable into my laptop with a 12 volt adapter to the camera? I think i understand what you are talking about in the video but not too clear on how to actually connect it.
So I plugged the camera into my router, reset it, and did everything that you did in the video and it says can not connect. I did notice however that in the command prompt in your video the ip was under the ethernet adapter but on mine it is under wireless lan adapter.
Man, I was hoping this would work for me. But after changing the Notebook IP to 192.168.1.222, I could not see my camera defaulted to 192.168.1.20. Maybe my browsers are not compatible? Edge and Chrome. Is there any Ping commands that can see what that camera is defaulting too? I just can’t remember if I already changed that camera IP address.
your browser will tell you there is a camera however its best viewed from Firefox or IE or Edge. You can ping the address and if it does not respond you have the wrong IP or you are not on the same network. Use ConfigTool to locate all cameras on your network th-cam.com/video/tLH7fMSDcYo/w-d-xo.html
Hi, Your Video is very good but I still cant figure out how to get my cameras to be found by my Hikvission 8 ch NVR. I can see them on the Monitor when they are plugged into the switch and configured on the 192.168.1.140 etc but when plugged into NVR No luck all it says are cameras that were on the NVR before and "No more cameras allowed. How do I get all those cameras that are not there anymore off the NVR?
Question, how do you add a Dahua IP camera to a Hikvision NVR . Changing the port of the camera to Dahua's 37777 also does not work , the setting on the NVR Plug and Play also does not work. If you set it to ONVIF it also does not work. Any thoughts?
Hi Johan This is possible as i have done it. you need to go into the ip camera setting, change all the ip address within the range of the NVR and also the Default gateway then select ONVIF and add the camera. if you give me more info ill talk you thro it. Abu
Oky so basically I have a Hikvision 8port onboard POE and I have 6 Dahua IP cameras that I want to connect to the NVR. I loged into the camera as you said changed its IP to 192.168.1.2 and its Gateway is 192.168.1.1 wich is also my NVR. I changed the settings on the NVR to ONVIF but still no luck i even tried changing the Management port to 37777 but still nothing it says connecting and then kicks it out.
Johan set camera 1 ip to 192.168.254.2 and then camera 2 to 192.168.254.3 and so on. then set the default gateway for all the camera to 192.168.254.1. once you have done this in the ip camera setting you need to go to the NVR camera management page and match the camera with the ip you have set and select ONVIF and then press search and all shud work as it has for me. any further info you need please say. Abu
the subnet for class A is 255.0.0.0 but if you blank the other octet by using 255.255.255.0 you simply telling the IP stack that it does not need to check the first three octets. This is why it allows it in the IP stack.

First good explanation of how to simply fix the Dahua problem of preassigning the IP address on their camera.
I don’t understand what more details these peoples how don’t like this explanation.
I think it’s well put .

What an amazing! Video. Thanks for sharing in depth. Great information well describe. Great tips. Looking forward for more of your videos.
I use my Dahua camera with Xeoma software and everything works perfectly!
Better use blue iris.
Waaaaaaaay cheaper and you pay one time and get it for life.
Paying for a license every year is total bs.

But how do you record the security footage with the PC

So I made it to my Dahua gui but no camera image will show for any browser. I tried IE, edge and chrome and a chrome plug in but no camera image?

Sir why to have camera and laptop to be on same network to access it
that is the IP rules. IP only sees addresses that are in the same range - same network.
Incredibly helpful, thanks so much

same range yes. Not the same IP as there would be a conflict and they would not work. Thanks

The ip you changed does not match the subnet man.
the subnet for class A is 255.0.0.0 but if you blank the other octet by using 255.255.255.0 you simply telling the IP stack that it does not need to check the first three octets. This is why it allows it in the IP stack.
