    Hello brother , you have the best content I've found on TH-cam.Keep up the good work. Have these NVR been updated for 2023? Can there be larger hard drives installed? If I were to install a 30-40 camera how much hard drive space would I need to store 2 weeks surveillance? Thanks guys and keep the support for this channel going strong 💪

    Do you have to set up port forwarding to access the NVR outside of your LAN. I saw the demo via cell/mobile network but not sure if there were any extra steps. I am considering installing for a friend & not sure I can get into the modem/router.

    Very good video, anyway i would have liked you to explain more about those ip cameras connected to the nvr. Following the video i saw them having an ip completely in a different range from the one of your network where your nvr is connected. I wanna know if those ip-s (10. ......) of the cameras are predetermined or jt is you that have to determine them? Are those cameras with different ip ranges compared to the network reachable inside your network even if they are connected to a switch in your lan and not only directly to your nvr?
    Are those cameras directly accessible on a browser using their ip, eventhough it is different from the one of the network where they are connected to?
    Would like for you to clear my doubts on these questions, thank you

    Hey ecologicaltime, great video and very informative. Just wanted to pick your brain a little with a few quick questions concerning the dahua NVR5416-4KS2 nvr family. When adding another hard drive to this type of nvr to expand storage space can the added hard drive or drives be of a larger capacity than the first drive as long as it’s not over the recommended requirement for the nvr, or must it be the same capacity and speed? And if multiple capacity HDs can be used what would the max capacity of any additional drives be, and would a possible firmware update help in increasing the HD capacity for the nvr? As you may be aware of the NVR5416-4KS2 can handle up to four HDs. Thanks for letting me pick your brain. Subscribed.

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      thanks for watching. I have not used more than one HD in that model but my experience with NVRs is that you can mix and match hard drive sizes. However, if the max size per single drive is 10TB each then each drive must not exceed10TBs.
