Frankie De Jong wasn't given as much freedom as we'd like for him to play those forward passes. The pursuit of Neymar hasn't stopped and added to this we have started pursuing Lautaro Martinez. Coutinho was sent on loan to Bayern Munich and Dembele was back in the hospital for another injury. As usual, the pressure was put on Messi to get the goals and assists for Barca and with Jordi Alba's injury it only become harder for him to do so. But he has improved vastly at the LB role and his best assets are his passing and technical ability in the final third. With Mendy's recurring injury issues, I won't be surprised if he turns out to be our first choice LB this season

It would be great if you analyze Sevilla FC transfers. Monchi is doing a new revolution, with 10 new players, and 3 more could join the squad. Sevilla has won all matches of this pre-season, including Liverpool. Most Sevilla fans distrusted Lopetegui, but he is doing a good job.
Monchi did 3 previous revolutions. Before promoting back to the 1st division in la Liga (I think 2002-03), in 2006 when Sevilla won 5 trophies in 2 years (including 2 UEFAs), and another revolution before the 3 in-a-row UEFAs cup from 2015-17. This new revolution will bring new unexpected success?
All these revolutions were carried out by selling the most valuable players, including Sergio Ramos, Dani Alves, Navas, Gameiro or Rakitic, and selling the worst players. And buying many average-good prospective players with that same money, believing that overall the team as a whole is better with balanced good players in all positions, if possible 2 players per position to enhance competition. And some of this good players will be the best players of the team the next season, increasing its price, and fueling the sell-buy cycle. This philosophy is sometimes hard to digest for the hardcore fan, as as soon as they care about a player, it is sold to another team. But it has brought very good results, and Sevilla has been overperforming its budget during the last 15 years.
Also players understand this philosophy, and many chose to come to Sevilla because they knew that if they performed well, it was a trampoline to a top-tier team (we have sold several players to Barça, Real Madrid, PSG, Arsenal, Juventus...). This is a win-win because Sevilla keeps fueling the cycle, and motivated ambitious players are happy to come here, sometimes over teams with a more prestigious name.
But this year, it is being atypical. They are expending much more money they obtained by selling players. This could change if they sell Ben Yedder and some others, but also they are buying players more expensive than before. So your opinion could be very valuable.

I agree. No transfer means anything when they have a board like this. They can't help chasing youth players away, buying people they don't need and selling people they do need, and doing all of those with wasting the most money possible.
Having a coach that runs 11 players into the ground and lets the other guys waste on the bench is just the cherry on top.

oh yeah yeah Not for everyone. But most teams are mostly done by now. Especially the big teams that TIFO covers. They will maybe make 1 transfer but not much more
What do you mean almost closed? Transfer window is open till 2 September in Spain, France, Netherlands and Germany. Only in England does it close in a couple of days, but the Premier League isn't = European football.
