    Liverpool’s recruitment policy is one of the most effective in Europe. Despite having access to the vast revenues that come with being a top Premier League club, they have retained a hunger for finding value in the transfer market. This helped them to push Manchester City close domestically last season whilst also triumphing on the continent, winning the Champions League. They don’t need a major revamp this summer, though there are a couple of areas they would wise to strengthen.

      I don't see any wrong in finding back ups for a striker since Sturridge ended his contract. I would say Origi is a good backup especially after his clutch moments last season. But if Liverpool were to challenge for the league again, a proper backup striker is needed. Last season's draw vs West Ham away and Leicester at home shown they need a goalscorer with a different play style.

      @@msmjsiajdgdhsjajahgshsjaje8990 he's looked better and better towards the end of the season. It takes time to adapt to playing for Klopp for it to work properly because the approach is so systematic. Remember when everyone thought Fabinho was crap until he'd been there for 6 months and was integrated properly, then suddenly he was one of the best DMs in the world? Or even Firmino, who nobody really knew what his purpose was until he found his current role. I bet we'll see more from Minamino next year and the doubters will likely be silenced, he just needs to develop that telepathy Firmino has with the other forwards

    • @joaodomingues9758
      @joaodomingues9758 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      First, a centre-back. Arsenal needs a man who can get the ball when the offside trap doesn't work. A good choice would be a player with a good pace, like Murillo or, in a long term transfer, Saliba. Then two midfielders. The first one, more defensive, who can win the ball in the first third of the pitch, like Wanyama or N'Zonzi. The another one, more offensive,someone who can play between the lines and pass them or for the full backs or for the wingers/strikers behind the opponent defensive line. And the last transfer would be a right winger. A good call could be Pepe from Lille. Good winger with cutting movements and beat offside trap very well.

      CB definitely is the least position we need right now. Both Matip and Gomez are solid CB...Lovren as fourth choice is not bad either. then we still have wonderkids in that position waiting to be given chance. Hoever, Rhys Williams and Sepp. Rhys Williams looks very promising for the future. I'd rather slowly ease them into the team if needed then spend, spend and spend. We wouldn't have seen what the player Trent today had he never been given a chance. the same can be said for De Ligt.
      Don't want football to be all about spending. Dortmund and Ajax managed to challenge by building their youth. We should start doing it too and the good news is we are in better position than them as we are a bigger club, we don't easily lost our players to other teams right now and we have a good mix of senior players and youth. I feel winning that way is more satisfying than keep spending like City where it feels like it's been bought.

    Love this series but as a Liverpool fan I found this episode slightly puzzling. An alternative to Firmino is definitely required, particularly given his inconsistent form last season, and Havertz and Fekir are great picks.
    But I don’t think, if Liverpool sign a Firmino alternative, that they should buy another forward. There was a considerable lack of depth at both full-back spots after Clyne left for Bournemouth. Thankfully Robbo didn’t get injured but when TAA was injured Milner, Fabinho, Henderson and Camacho all played right back at various points. A backup left back and a backup right back are definitely required given that we a) don’t have good backups there and b) our fullbacks are so important to our system as they provide width while Mané and Salah tuck inside.

      Shaqiri is a decent bench player but fekir would start. Firpo could play left back left wing back wide midfield left wing and he’d be solid in center positions. Apparently the worried for fekir is that he is one or two bad knocks away from ending his career. He’ll probably play at a top level till he’s like 28 and fade away. I'd like, if possible, to see some sensible transfers for FC Barcelona.
    I'd like your take on :
    A) A backup/future replacement for Gerard Piqué as a ball-playing centre-back
    B) A backup/future replacement for Jordi Alba as an attacking left-back
    C) A central midfielder that can play in between the lines in a 3-man midfield (à la Iniesta) [considering that De Jong will play the Busquets role and Arthur plays the Xavi role]
    D) A versatile young attacker that can play the wings as well as the centre forward/striker position.

  • @RazaBrothers
    @RazaBrothers 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I think you made a few mistakes with this video. Where Liverpool lack the most depth is at the left wing and left back positions. The only alternative to Mane on the left is Origi, who does not have the technical skill to rotate for Mane. Salah and Shaqiri are both weak on their weak foots, and as such would suffer a lot on the left. While at left back, the closest like to like replacement is James Milner, who is aging, and becoming more inconsistent, while also not being that fast. There is also Joe Gomez, but his attacking contribution is horrendous in a fullback position.
    You've also put Haller in the wring category, he's more a Firmino type player than a different striker. He's able to link play, move around in the channels, drop deep, press, and is the Firmino to Frankfrut's Jovic and Rebic.
    Also, putting Wijnaldum in either team is a mistake. Jordan Henderson outclasses him fairly easily in the #6, as well as the box to box, and Liverpool's advanced midfield position.
    Otherwise it's a decent video, but I do feel as if you guys dropped the ball a bit on this one. I hope you get to see this comment.

    The main difficulty in replacing Origi is that very few promising strikers would accept the role of a bench clutch player without wishing more minutes or a more prominent role. I'd also like to see us sign some form of cover for Mane/Salah because Origi, despite his heroics, really lacks quality. Someone relatively young who could develop into a long term replacement for them. Must have similar attributes, mainly be very quick and agile and good dribbling 1v1 but most importantly have high high work rate

      Origi is a better finisher perhaps
      Origi couldnt do what firmino do, he would fit better as mane/salah replacement
      Not firmino

    First team CB to play alongside Van Dijk is essential.

    Love these videos. Adding the name on the screen when you talk about them, is the icing on the cake!

    Love the video as always but Klopp seems to prefer players who have a good injury history. That is why they pulled out of the Fekir deal last year. Would love it if you started adding those stats in the video as well. Keep up the good work!

    I'd love this tifo analysis of sensible transfer, suits with the current club tactical, and precise fact of rating play of player, well done!

    A sensible signing would be Maxwel Cornet in my opinion. The Ivorian is young and can play across the front three. He's quick and a decent dribbler. Another shout would be Ryan Fraser. No brainer.

    Would be interested with Tifo’s view on the defense, since we just released Moreno and might need back up for Robbo & Milner.

      There's Joe Gomez and Fabinho is good in a defensive role too. Defense seems to be a non-issue as proven when Trent and Robbo were absent at times last season.

      clzm90 we’re having 60+ games next season. Gomez is not a left back, Fabinho never play as full back. I believe in Klopp though, I’m sure he has a plan for it, or I hope he’s having some youth player ready to develop as a back up left back.
