Everyone at TiFo's favourite statistically sound "hot take" that's backed up by data. (Inspired by Maram's Maguire video) Alex, Maram, JJ and Mark, all head to head (maybe Ian M can judge the winner), and Joe presumably doing something about why based on rotations/spins per game Adama Traore is actually a food processor, thriving in a system that favours midrange kitchen appliances.

Question: In the movie Catch Me If You Can, they say “Why do the yankees always win” “It’s because the opposition can’t stop looking at the stripes” I was wondering if having a bizarre looking kit has any correlation to winning more?
No, because the team with bizarre kits also looks on those kits
The opposite happened with united's grey away shirt in 1996, players complained that they couldnt see their teammates and they changed at halftime in one game
@Aaaaaaa It means that the opponents are so caught up in the mythos and aura of the Yankees and their famous pinstripe uniform that they mentally psyche themselves out before a ball is pitched - you aren't just playing the team before you but also the history and the reputation of the establishment. Or at least that's how I tried to interpret it. Yes I have an English degree

Teams in red statistically win more often apparently. My theory is that this isn't about an advantage on the pitch but that red is most people's favourite colour, which in turn helps a team get more fans and more money. I'd like to see Man United become a global brand with a pink and yellow striped shirt.
To answer your question, if it's for a morning run around the park, I'd pick my family members. If I'm looking to enjoy a good meal out or simply to spend some quality time, I'd pick a dog.

Brilliant episode. Something I've wondered for a while; why do Chelsea seem to have struggled so much to get the best out of strikers except Drogba? Lukaku, Werner, Higuain, Morata, Torres & Shevchenko being the obvious examples.

From Philly, so love the episode. Dr. Marc Carey: excluding first season relegations is a deficiency in the analysis. You could argue promoted teams are generally weak and those lucky enough to stay up the first season are just reverting to the mean in the second.
Hey Michael, the relegated teams weren’t in the Premier League for a second season, hence why they cannot be included in the analysis about second season syndrome. Thanks for watching
@@markcarey9035 I get that. But an easy answer to 2nd season syndrome is: "No such thing. They just got lucky the first season". Your analysis didn't counter that, does it? You have a PhD, and I don't, so maybe I'm misunderstanding? (BTW, I think luck is a big issues; at least Sheff Utd and Leeds were far luckier with injuries the first season than the second).
