ibrahim ahmed Yeah, but they made it sound like Lazaro is totally incapable of playing rwb because he’s “too attacking” yet he played RB for Hertha Berlin pretty much all of last season and was their next best player.
Tony Neculai yep. Ik. I been studying Juve transfers for the last 4 month very intensely. Inter's friendly match with Man U also shows that Inter is pressing a lot more.
I saw the match, they were lucky with the 1-0 defeat, United hit also once the post and had 1 million chances and playing with many kids. @@YouAreTheCatalyst fair. I'm just hoping somehow icardi and radja are moved on, just to give us some options. But as conte at Chelsea has shown he dosent need superstars at the fullback positions, just athletic hard workers. Fingers crossed dalbert can develop into atleast a decent player

Personally though, I'd prefer Perisic in that position, but it looks as if he won't sacrifice himself for the team by playing a defensive position. I'm also not confident with Lazaro yet, he has some nice skills, but defensively needs to get tougher in a tackle.
Great video, but many shortcomings with analyzing Inter situation. 1) Regarding left and right backs, you suggested players from lower leagues like Eredivisie that always fared much worse than expected in Italy. Stats are largerly not influential in determining the quality of a player outside of the football he has played all his life, and in italian football, it's always better to use players already adapted to Serie A, for example Dalbert was seen as a great prospect but embarassed himself at Inter. 2) Goalkeeper wise, Inter won't buy any of those you suggested. They have Ionut Andrei Radu one of the better prospects of Serie A ready as Handanovic replacement, and have just signed 18 year old Brazao from Cruzeiro, they are covered. 3) Suggesting Petagna rather than Lukaku honestly seems like a bit of a joke! Petagna plays more as a physical presence in the area and is a very strong but also slow player, Lukaku has acceleration and pace that can split defenses in two and that is why Inter want to sign him, certainly not for his goal contribution, for that they have Lautaro and will sign Dzeko. 4) At the end you also say midfield is now much better but I have to disagree. Inter will likely try to sell Joao Mario, Borja Valero and Gagliardini, and will need another powerful signing in the midfield. They are eyeing attacking midfielder Donny Van De Beek from Ajax but I am not sure they have the money to complete such transfer. 5) You also suggest they buy a young prospect for the centre-back to complete the line, even here they do not need to: they have Alessandro Bastoni one of the most valuable U-20 Italian players, and also have Vanheusden in Belgium which is growing to be one of the better prospects in Europe as centre-back. They are covered. Good video but try to research also on the players out on loan/second squad!
Your comment was exactly what I was looking for. Haha. Couldn't agree more with the analysis on Lukaku/ Petagna comparisons; as well as limiting the sample size to Europe's top 5 Leagues when talking about a club from one of Europe's top 5 Leagues requirements. Another thing that struck me as odd was mentioning Perisic as a possible WB option. Conte already mentioned that he didn't think Perisic was suited that role, and as such would only play him further afield.
@@arushpati Exactly, Perisic was basically put on the market by Conte after Man UTD. I think the idea is that they might try to sign an expensive left midfielder such as Kostic or Sessegnon to complete the squad. Lukaku is a more difficult transfer, Dzeko could be finalized by the end of this week. They still need a top class midfielder, Barella is a good replacement but still a prospect. All in all, I believe that Inter will buy: a left midfielder selling Perisic, two forwards to replace Icardi, and one top midfielder after selling Nainggolan and Mario.
You guys really think a SPAL striker with 10 non-penalti goals in a season is good enough to compete with Juventus and Cristiano? There are limitations to statistics in football, you can't moneyball it. This video actually proved how hard it is to build a team and how easy we can make mistakes and compromise a season.
This is a Great channel, but I only see one problem with the series most of the players you suggest aren’t from the top 5 leagues and sometimes I wonder if they would be competent in the the bigger leagues.
I think in a way, it's actually the whole point of these videos. It's a way of showing that clubs have lower cost alternatives and that if you compound financial risk, with "football risk" buying an unproven player for few millions or buy a top player for 80M , it's just a different way to risk.
I usually like your videos, but this is so inaccurate and the Petagna thing honestly triggered me 😅 Even though Conte standard formation is 352, he also used 343 at Chelsea, but only because of Hazard: in his formation, wide midfielders need to "go back and forth", and Hazard couldn't be used as an additional defender, but you can't take him out, because he is Hazard, and that would had been a waste of offensive potential. He needed to adapt to the Chelsea situation. Inter Milan have no such a player, so Conte would probably use the 352 formation. Goalkeeper Actually, Handanovic is the best goalkeeper in Serie A and one of the best in the world, he's not that old so I wouldn't look after someone right now. Ionut Radu looks like the Handanovic's heir, but your choice is good either. Defence Conte said Miranda is not part of the project anymore, and that his backup defenders will be Ranocchia, Bastoni and D'Ambrosio, which won't be considered for the right midfielder spot. Midfield Two days ago, Conte said Perisic can't play on the left, and that he will be considered as a striker from now on, so Inter Milan need someone better than Dalbert on the left. A more defensive backup for Valentino Lazaro would be useful - I would prefer Florenzi from Roma - but Conte said Candreva will be his backup, so I think we should focus only on the left spot. Strikers Conte wants Lukaku and Lautaro on front, Dzeko as a backup for the belgian striker. Perisic and Politano will act as "a jack of a trade". Petagna is not the world class striker Inter Milan need: maybe someone like Cavani - older and more expensive than Lukaku - could be a "plan B", but Inter Milan need experience, and Petagna isn't the right man for the job. Ps: I like that you come up with stats to explain why you choose a certain player, but you need to consider the differences between leagues: e.g. I understand that X has made more accurate passes than Y, but if X plays in Eredivisie and Y plays in Premier League, you need to consider that Y plays in a much harder league than X.
Conte already said Perisic is not capable of playing Wing Back in his ideal system, so Inter probably going to look for a more defensively minded left Wing Back and utilize Lazaro as the attacking Right Wing Back. As for Goalkeeper, how about Ionut Andrei Radu? He's Inter's own product that doing well last season at Genoa.
As things stands, Conte probably going to use Dalbert and D'ambrosio as his main Left Wing Back. Dalbert has been praised by Conte recently, and actually improved a lot compared to last season. Danilo is always reliable options capable of playing at both Wing Backs and recently shows that he's capable of playing as central defender albeit his lack in physical strength. Inter desperately need 1 more defender for rotational purpose, as Dalbert and Lazaro possibly their first choice player and Danilo is the rotational wing back as he can play both sides. Central Defender is outright cemented by De Vrij, Godin, Skriniar. Miranda goes to China and left Inter with Ranocchia and youngster Bastoni.
@@ramadeaadrindrata5128 I think ranocchia and bastoni are enough as centerbacks. Currently we need a striker including a rotating option. For this Dzeko and Leao would be great
Saluti dall'Italia: forza Inter!!!
Inter will most certainly buy Dzeko as a back up to a top level striker like lukaku, for anyone that remotely watches serie a would know that Petagna Is ok at best and could serve well in a low level team, this vid was made with poor knowledge of inter and their aspirations
There is a young striker playing for Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia. He has a nice left foot, good movement and had an XG of 0.64 goals per game last season in the 32 games he played. He hasn't scored an actual goal yet, but I'm sure the empirical metric will prove itself to be correct in the long term.
I would recommend doing statistical comparisons when you bring up the stats of suggested transfers, I think it would add context and make it easier to understand the quality of a player. I generally know which numbers are good but sometimes it’s easy to get lost and not really know the significance of some of the statistics, so comparing them to players who are generally accepted as good might be a good way to show the quality of these players (Football Daily does it and I think it works really well)
TIFO: Great Ideas we wish Dirrectors of football all over the world had. ME: Get this channel a like for every view:) Edit: The top picks really good for teams like Wolves,Arsenal and Everton or mid tier Spanish teams or E.Frankfurt Edit 2: Tifo said that they're not looking at rumours and marketability just plain stats for players that slide into the formation the gaffer likes to play, with that being said discussion on Lukaku is pointless :)
Great sensible transfer video, but can you guys do a review of the Premier leauge and all of the teams last season, and more get to know the owners videos, thanks
This video is totally wrong. Gk: we can still use Handanovic for another 2/3 years and I think Inter is going to replace him with Radu that we left on loan at Genoa Cb: we clearly need someone to backup our 3 beasts, and Miranda is probably gonna leave Inter On the wingers you are probably right but I think that we are covered for the right side Midfield: if Nainggolan goes then we are going to buy someone really good Strikers: this is the part were I got goosebumps.... Petagna is doing good just because he is in a small team, the truth is that he’s shit. If we buy Vlahovic then we can just use Sebastiano Esposito from our under 19 team, that is considered one of the best at his age (17). That being said I wanna remind you that if Inter plays with a 3-5-2 we need more strikers and we need 2 strong and powerful players and 2 agile and playmaker style players. For the strong one we contacted Dzeko and Lukaku, for the agile we got Lautaro so we need one more or we could use Politano or Esposito. This is how it’s done, you need to read the news first!
But as an replacement for icardi we should go with a big name like firmino or lukaku. I prefer sensible transfers and using your youth players over buying prime players for big cash, but icardi is really hard to replace. Because of lukaku's ridiculous price tag i would go for firmino because 1)similiar positioning in the build up 2)firmino has much higher work rate 3)firmino is a better passer But as said in this video petagna is also a great and much cheaper option
What about Ionut Radu for goalkeeper? Inter bought him this summer after selling him last season. He is currently on loan at Genoa, but he can be first choice for them next season
Klaiber is a CDM, not RB - stats suit your suggestions but you have to look up their position. The mental side and how somebody has been taught to play is more important than their ability
An AC Milan sensible transfers would be quite interesting, considering the club’s recent fall from grace. It would be great to see who you guys think could help build them slowly back up
As a keeper they have Ionut Radu who is loaned to Genoa. He had a great U21 Euro and played the entire season for Genoa. Only 22 and already worth 15M i think he could step up when Samir retires
In 2 years he will be ready They still have Brazão young brazilian gk 18 year old. One of them will move on both cant stay. Mostly likely Radu and Handanovic as back up.
Omg, petagna Its true his link up play is top notch and great work rate but his goal scoring record really poor For GK, we already have radu and brazao for the future, padelli not bad for back up Righy wing back, it seems conte still rate candreva to play there so with lazaro and candreva there right wing back already cover Left wing back though, since conte already said that perisic can not play for that position we need another player there Dalbert too on his way out For CB, bastoni already there for nice back up, young and can learn from godin The problem is inter cannot sell their players to finance their transfer plan Icardi, nainggolan, joao mario, perisic, valero, dalbert still on the club
Conte will almost certainly have Inter play with a 3-5-2 formation. Ideally he would like to have Dzeko, Lukaku and Lautaro in the roster, so as to vary three possible very different attacking pairs according to the situations, maintaining instead the skeleton of the team in the first 70 meters.
Do *AC Milan* and btw They still have Brazão young brazilian gk 18 year old & Radu seems world class. One of them will move on both cant stay. Mostly likely Radu and Handanovic as back up.
You forgot Asamoah? P.Max,Rose,Bertnand, Sessengon. Lazaro on right Moses in. Both Alonso & Moses where not super good in defense but CFC still won throphies 3-4-3 & 3-5-2. When you have 3 behind... doesnt matter that much. Alonso & Moses where good enough. Asamoah and Lazaro are too. Either way i dont wish Conte good luck i am Milan fan but i know he will win something.
I get the statistical analysis but the striker options seem really risky. The first one especially seems one for the future, not an Icardi replacement. Petagna has only just hit double digits for the first time in his career. Guess it says a lot about the lack of striker options if he is the best.
I could see Strakosha of Lazio being a good signing by Inter if/when they choose to replace Handanovic. People who watch Lazio regularly can correct me if I'm wrong but he's looked good from what I have seen. They could do what Juve did with Szczesny and have him rotate for his first season.
we still have 2 sell many players like Icardi,Nainggolan, Perisic, Joao Mario, Valero, Miranda, and Dalbert. Then we ll go 4 Lukaku and Dzeko(Lautaro will start together with Lukaku) coz we need at least 4 strickers in a 352. Politano will be Lautaro´s sub as fast technical striker. We ll sell Nainggolan and after that we try 2 buy SmS from Lazio with Gaglia as swap player coz Lazio coach inzaghi is a big fan of him. And then we ll need a new LWB coz dalbert and perisic will be sold
Goalkeeper is weird because we have Radu. Recently signed him back, and sent him on loan for a year longer at Genoa with the intention of him coming back and taking the number 1 spot
If they can ditch Icardi I do hope they keep Perisic. I feel like he would work wonders up front as a striker alongside someone more physical. He has played their in the past alongside Mandzukic for Croatia to good effect, so he might be a viable option to go along with Lautauro and any of Lukaku/Dzeko/whomever.
Best option for our Rivals at LWB = Roussilon. And best option at RWB = Maybe Splash the cash on Cancelo. Please do for us Milanistas too , dear Tifo ☺☺
inter has already the next goalkeeper. Ionut Radu. he is doing super good at Genoa, and he grew with inter academy. after him: dejan stankovic son is another young promising goalie who grew in inter academy, so, no need to spend much money in acquiring good goalkeepers for Inter.
Brozovic would 100% be starting. Imo one of the best deep playmakers in the world. Also like the look of Gagliardini. Another thing, hasn't Candreva played wingback before? I remember he played there for the national team during the euros under Conte. He's good there as well. A loan for Moses wouldn't be terrible either, just for depth. But yeah, Inter will probably need to sign 2 strikers if they're going with a 3-5-2. A 3 of Brozovic, Barella and Gagliardini/Sensi is really nice, but might lack super star quality.
@@Tifo true. Going forward though he's pretty perfect as a wing back. Lots of crosses etc. Also, his tackling stats are weird. Idk if it's right, but according to my app (which I believe uses Opta stats), it says he only completed 1 tackle at 100% accuracy. 17/18, 7 tackles at 58%. But then, 16/17 season he completed 24 tackles at 86% plus 19 interceptions in 36 starts. Pretty decent, maybe he had a more defensive role that season??
Inter bought Brazao as keeper. He is doing pretty well and can sit behind handa a couple of years. I think we need a CAM and dropping Icardi is going to cost us.
Now Lukaku is at Inter, best choice 4 Midfield link is Raketich! Peresic is familiar with him from Croatia. Just in case don't forget Mesut Ozil from Arsenal the most talented midfielder in my opinion

Vanheusden is sold
@@oscarforander8903 Inter have a gentlemen agreement to buy back the player from Standard next year if he recovers from his injury.
Okay
AC Milan? :)
Great video, as always.
Nobody:
Tifo football: “Lukaku’s link up play isn’t a weakness”
Me as a Manchester United fan: 🤦🏽♂️
He does occasionally give good passes and crosses to be fair it's just his first touch that makes him lose the ball.
Lmaooooo
This aged greatly
No really sensible to buy another right back when they have already bought one
Froek Jeeves rich from arsenal tbh
This is a Great channel, but I only see one problem with the series most of the players you suggest aren’t from the top 5 leagues and sometimes I wonder if they would be competent in the the bigger leagues.
I think in a way, it's actually the whole point of these videos. It's a way of showing that clubs have lower cost alternatives and that if you compound financial risk, with "football risk" buying an unproven player for few millions or buy a top player for 80M , it's just a different way to risk.
yeah that’s the point of the video. Finding prospects in leagues outside of the top 5 is a common and valuable strategy for clubs within the top 5
I usually like your videos, but this is so inaccurate and the Petagna thing honestly triggered me 😅
Even though Conte standard formation is 352, he also used 343 at Chelsea, but only because of Hazard: in his formation, wide midfielders need to "go back and forth", and Hazard couldn't be used as an additional defender, but you can't take him out, because he is Hazard, and that would had been a waste of offensive potential. He needed to adapt to the Chelsea situation.
Inter Milan have no such a player, so Conte would probably use the 352 formation.
Goalkeeper
Actually, Handanovic is the best goalkeeper in Serie A and one of the best in the world, he's not that old so I wouldn't look after someone right now. Ionut Radu looks like the Handanovic's heir, but your choice is good either.
Defence
Conte said Miranda is not part of the project anymore, and that his backup defenders will be Ranocchia, Bastoni and D'Ambrosio, which won't be considered for the right midfielder spot.
Midfield
Two days ago, Conte said Perisic can't play on the left, and that he will be considered as a striker from now on, so Inter Milan need someone better than Dalbert on the left. A more defensive backup for Valentino Lazaro would be useful - I would prefer Florenzi from Roma - but Conte said Candreva will be his backup, so I think we should focus only on the left spot.
Strikers
Conte wants Lukaku and Lautaro on front, Dzeko as a backup for the belgian striker.
Inter may have the potential to return again now with conte
Unlikely. Juventus has become a world class team now.
When Conte won Serie A 8 years ago with Juventus, they had worse players than inter have now. Just look up his squad in 2011/12 season.
Whoa, thanks for fullfiling my request. Guys, you're amazing.
Conte already said Perisic is not capable of playing Wing Back in his ideal system, so Inter probably going to look for a more defensively minded left Wing Back and utilize Lazaro as the attacking Right Wing Back.
As for Goalkeeper, how about Ionut Andrei Radu? He's Inter's own product that doing well last season at Genoa.
true but he didnt exactly say that he won't use perisic as a wing back
@@ijp789 Perisic and Dzeko vs Martinez and Lukaku.
For this Dzeko and Leao would be great
As goalkeeper Inter has a good backup for next season: Radu from Genoa
You should do Ajax next, who would they need to keep up with their great performances?
@@golovinpress6492 stupidest thing I've ever read
tifo football predicted vlahovic being a world class striker
Saluti dall'Italia: forza Inter!!!
I have been waiting for this since the first episode!! Thanks
Inter will have Radu for the 2020/21 season as their new goalkeeper, so I don't think they need a new keeper
Loving this Sensible Transfers series
Hope to see Lyon or Napoli next
This channel is one of the best ..
Great vid guys! Ajax would be really cool for a sensible transfers video.
naaa, they already do it =)))
Serie A is going to be very interesting this year. Solid video as always!
I was waiting for this, thank you and keep it up!!
I love you Tifo Football!
Love this series!
Petagna no please. Inter has already 2 promising keepers for the future Radu (Genoa) and Brazao (should be loaned to Chievo)
Yeah this was a little wrong, but keep doing this I love your content guys
Always high quality!!!
It's amazing how Petagna is only 24. He looks and plays like a veteran in his 30s.
That spal striker would never make it top 5 .He's already underperforming his xG lol that's a low bar for a striker tbh.
They should sign dzeko
Or crouch
Inter will most certainly buy Dzeko as a back up to a top level striker like lukaku, for anyone that remotely watches serie a would know that Petagna Is ok at best and could serve well in a low level team, this vid was made with poor knowledge of inter and their aspirations
thank u tifo pls more inter video !
I generally know which numbers are good but sometimes it’s easy to get lost and not really know the significance of some of the statistics, so comparing them to players who are generally accepted as good might be a good way to show the quality of these players (Football Daily does it and I think it works really well)
Inter managers watching this and thinking, we should just hire this guy
Nah none of these transfers would improve inter
I love these sensible transfers videos!!!!!
Wish the next on would be about AC MILAN!!!!!!
Tifo love ur videos man make a sensible transfers about Southampton
As for Goalkepeers , isn't Ionuţ Radu a very promising player?
They should rely on him
Well done video. I think Perisic is underrated, quality player
I'm waiting for Real Madrid sensible transfers. I love your work
Conte appeared to be unhappy with Perisic as well, who could replace him?
morning tifo is perfect
TIFO: Great Ideas we wish Dirrectors of football all over the world had.
ME: Get this channel a like for every view:)
Edit: The top picks really good for teams like Wolves,Arsenal and Everton or mid tier Spanish teams or E.Frankfurt
Edit 2: Tifo said that they're not looking at rumours and marketability just plain stats for players that slide into the formation the gaffer likes to play, with that being said discussion on Lukaku is pointless :)
People talk about pep and klopp but conte is world class
I'm not first,
I'm not last.
But the content is brilliant as always.
Great sensible transfer video, but can you guys do a review of the Premier leauge and all of the teams last season, and more get to know the owners videos, thanks
This video is totally wrong.
Gk: we can still use Handanovic for another 2/3 years and I think Inter is going to replace him with Radu that we left on loan at Genoa
Cb: we clearly need someone to backup our 3 beasts, and Miranda is probably gonna leave Inter
On the wingers you are probably right but I think that we are covered for the right side
Midfield: if Nainggolan goes then we are going to buy someone really good
Strikers: this is the part were I got goosebumps....
Ideal long term signing for CB would’ve been Nathan Ake for me, he and Skriniar would complement each other perfectly
Ake works in 3 system only. He is 1.80cm. Dmc and LB too
Gonna buy these players in career mode
I am Simple man Tifo posts I click
But as an replacement for icardi we should go with a big name like firmino or lukaku. I prefer sensible transfers and using your youth players over buying prime players for big cash, but icardi is really hard to replace. Because of lukaku's ridiculous price tag i would go for firmino because 1)similiar positioning in the build up 2)firmino has much higher work rate 3)firmino is a better passer
But as said in this video petagna is also a great and much cheaper option
What about Ionut Radu for goalkeeper? Inter bought him this summer after selling him last season. He is currently on loan at Genoa, but he can be first choice for them next season
Cagliari is pronounced "calyary".
Besides that, top video as always :)
Klaiber is a CDM, not RB - stats suit your suggestions but you have to look up their position. The mental side and how somebody has been taught to play is more important than their ability
An AC Milan sensible transfers would be quite interesting, considering the club’s recent fall from grace. It would be great to see who you guys think could help build them slowly back up
Some manager somewhere must stumble upon these videos through TH-cam recommendations. Everyone uses TH-cam, and everyone gets some recommendations.
Love your videos and love seeing one on my favorite team. Keep up the great work all around!!!
Ill ask for it until it happens - AS Roma please! Great videos 👍
Love to see your recommended transfers for newcastle
you should do a series where you talk about one exciting prospect and talk about what clubs would fit them best
Omg, petagna
Its true his link up play is top notch and great work rate but his goal scoring record really poor
For GK, we already have radu and brazao for the future, padelli not bad for back up
Righy wing back, it seems conte still rate candreva to play there so with lazaro and candreva there right wing back already cover
Left wing back though, since conte already said that perisic can not play for that position we need another player there
Dalbert too on his way out
For CB, bastoni already there for nice back up, young and can learn from godin
The problem is inter cannot sell their players to finance their transfer plan
Icardi, nainggolan, joao mario, perisic, valero, dalbert still on the club
Conte will almost certainly have Inter play with a 3-5-2 formation. Ideally he would like to have Dzeko, Lukaku and Lautaro in the roster, so as to vary three possible very different attacking pairs according to the situations, maintaining instead the skeleton of the team in the first 70 meters.
I love Inter Milan. Strong squad with good additions and a league title is due!
Sensible transfers for Inter - GK - Walter Benitez/Thomas Vaclik, ST - Stuani, CM - Rakitic, attacking mid - Claesson
Do *AC Milan* and btw They still have Brazão young brazilian gk 18 year old & Radu seems world class. One of them will move on both cant stay. Mostly likely Radu and Handanovic as back up.
Get rid of the music in the background or lower the volume, it's very distracting!
The music is what makes Tifo special
@@BoxOfOranges84 Nope. Its the tactical analysis that make it special
Ed Woodward likes this type of thinking
Do AC Milan next!
Yes!
Balde Keita?
Komlichenko or Sobolev, they can be a good future investment as a buldozer forward.Nice powerful targetman, with some nice agility.
You guys should come to spotify already 😭😭

Great video, Konan is promising, disagree with Candreva though he is bad
Do one on Eintracht Frankfurt and how they should replace Jovic and Haller
inter has already the next goalkeeper. Ionut Radu. he is doing super good at Genoa, and he grew with inter academy.
after him: dejan stankovic son is another young promising goalie who grew in inter academy, so, no need to spend much money in acquiring good goalkeepers for Inter.
I am a Inter fan and your idea about Petagna is great. The only concern is that he remind a bit Martinez.
Candreva has, yes. But he can’t tackle all that well
@@Tifo true.
It's brazao
@@deronogilvie9246 I stand corrected. I had the name of the oporto stadium in my head. Ill edit it out. Thanks
Could you guys do Napoli next as you are on the topic of Seria A teams?
Now Lukaku is at Inter, best choice 4 Midfield link is Raketich! Peresic is familiar with him from Croatia. Just in case don't forget Mesut Ozil from Arsenal the most talented midfielder in my opinion
