Hm. Seems better to use compressor and crop the video into 2.35:1. Then you're not upscaling any footage. Especially important if you shoot 1080. It's also much easier. I simply drop a PNG over my timeline so I can frame the shots accordingly, then before I "send to compressor" I delete the PNG. Then in Compressor, I crop to 2.35 to 1 and it's always perfect. Maybe I'm just on an ancient version of Final Cut X... but it works quite well.
Amazing it was very useful for me thanx a lot i will keep to follow your videos am camera man and Editor from Egypt .. but i live and working in Dubai thanx again
@@ClassicWings Can I also ask you, with 8GB can I keep open more then one program at a time? Or is too much? Like, photoshop, and lightroom together for example. Thank you
@@mya.phoenix I'm really not a pro, but I had exactly the same questions as you do just yesterday. I had Premiere Pro and my Macbook was just way too slow. Right now I have the trial version of Final Cut and it works fantastic, even with Lightroom open, Safari and Whatsapp. Just give it a try. The trial version is for 30 days and quick to download.
The manner you make your videos is refreshing man. No pop-up over excited type of bullshit. Honest content. Subscribed

Amazing. One question; is it okay to choose 25p if I recorded with 50fps?
Yes, should not lead to issues
Super helpful. Your the man 🤘
Keep it up you should go big on TH-cam !!! Very good tutorials!!! Ty !!!
Thx mate
where do you find Clips I'm confused and can you edit whatever you want?
Great job and well done and easy to follow. Thanks!
Just as a sounding board, we all torrented FCPX, right?
Great video! Question...in the video you seem to “push in” on a few shots. How do you do that in FCP? Thank you.
It´s a zoom transition. I made a template you can download for free. Just check out my channel.
Great video
Thx mate

Cheers 🥂
Very well explained. You have a new follower.
Nice work!
Nice work flow your video always look fantastic.
Nice vid!
I have a question about Mac Book Pro: do you think that 8GB ram is gonna be enough to to video editing? Thank you.
Yes, my MBP has 8GB as well and it works just fine (with FCPX)
It is enough for Final Cut, yes. With Premiere Pro you will have trouble editing 4k material.

On an iPad with stock apple earbuds.
